Yentsui told Barcas not to unleash his power and to save his strength in case Archanfel is in danger. So all we know is that it is apparently pretty powerful.

Something I thought about: his power seems to be super-powered laser beams. And certain other details of his body remind me of Zektoll. And his closest friend was Purgstall - who was electric-powered, like Elegen. Intentional?

Amazing work and for the lack of a better term Shin is certainly...horny...

 

As for his powers I thought that both he and Purgstall kind of complimented each other like Purgstall was lightning and Shin is thunder?  The reason why is that we have seen Shin create a barrier to protect Cloud Gate during Sho and Agito's fight.  He also created barriers that blocked Kabrals missiles during his fight with the Gigantic Exceed, but that looked to me like bursts of energy.  So when the energy "bursts" it creates a thunder clap of sorts.  So perhaps he can "project" energy in a different location and then materialize it?  Similar to when Archenphel created that energy shredder in an attempt to kill Aptom when he was first introduced. 

 

I know I am probably wrong and if so please correct me, but that is just how it looked to me.

Well he had more bio lasers on his body than any zoalord, and could actually snipe with them in multiple directions. Zoanoid have multiple, some barriers are supposed to generated from their Zoa crystals and released through a physical medium I think. Murakami had to use his arms to generate them along with the crystal for an offensive barrier, as did guyot though he did it slightly different. So I guess there's a possibility those bio lasers also double as his barrier medium. They all seem to share a common barrier generation though, which is the standard defensive one with the zoa crystal emanating it without any physical movements. This is all just guess work from what I've seen though.

So that's what he looks like without his close on while transformed into his Zoalord body.  Pretty badass.  And I ask the same question Spleach did.  What in the heck was that thing?

I don't agree with the colour scheme though.

based on past colour scheme for zoalords I think there is a relation to bright colours and also a relation to cultural dress of where they come from. yentsui was jade green often seen as traditional colour for China, purgstall was deep blue, which is very common in traditional Austrian garb.

Looking at Armenian traditional dress there is a lot of red and blue, so here is how I think shin's battle form would be coloured.

 

 

 

regarding Shin's ability, I believe it is more like mass ordnance.  he has a lot of orbs round his face which would make sense for being able to aim multiple beam weapons very accurately.

Purgstall's corpse was at Arizona Base, but it has never been mentioned if they managed to get it out of there before it blew up.

Yup and he managed to do that untransformed. His Zoalord forms power has to be damn near second to Alky. He most likely knew Alky would be able to get out of the black hole. Maybe that's why he didn't transform to save him in that situation as well.

Actually, Shin is Armenian,

 

 

so if his color scheme follows his homeland it would not be that red. Plus, I don't think he would have that color scheme for the sake it would be too similar to the Gigantic Exceed's.

by that logic, how do we view purgstals colouring? his colour was nearly the same as guyver 1 and almost identical to aptom omega blast.

also, bear in mind, that image is in the tube, it appears darker than it would normally be.

 

 

and anyway, what do you mean it wouldn't be that red? based on what? the armenian flag? deep red at the top.  armenian traditional dress (that I already based it on ) lots of deep red and deep blue. I'm just totally confused by your response.

Historical Armenia was a lot bigger than it is today. Makes you wonder if his hometown is now in a different nation entirely.

It'd be interesting to see what he makes of the country in Guyver's present day.

And even that's a bit open to debate:  Guyver was first published in 1985, and Shin was introduced in the Manga in the early 1990's.  Most of that time, Armenia was still part of the Soviet Union.  And then there's the issues that the country has faced since then to the present day.  So I would be interesting to see what Shin's thoughts are of his homeland during those eras.

According to the era, it was an was almost an entirely Ottoman controlled area save for a small strip of land in Persia. But he's still likely a mix of Persian and Turkish, possible Georgian too.
