Super Existence Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Not too fond of the hulkbuster armour design, really like the deep space armour and the heartbreaker armour. Quote

Matt Bellamy Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 UPDATE: http://www.geekrest.com/2013/03/director-shane-black-talks-extremis-virus-in-iron-man-3/ Not sure if that makes me want to like it more... Or less. I really need to stop reading articles about Iron Man 3. So they are going with the Extremis, but in a toned down way? I can see the reality of if, since in the comics, Extremis made Iron Man much stronger than ever. In the movies they do got to keep him more grounded. The fanboy in me however, wants pure Extremis. And until I see how they do it in the movie, it will still want the pure Extremis story. Silly fanboy. Silly me. Granted, all these armors, and the fact that Extremis in the comics made Tony quite a bit unstable... Might be a good way to do the Armor Wars story for Iron Man 4... DOWN FANBOY! DOWN! 2 Quote
*Jess♥ Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I have to say, after seeing these, now I am genuinely interested in this movie. This is good marketing. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I'm wondering about that disaster rescue suit... it doesn't look as though a human could realistically fit inside that. is that actual armour or is it a drone? Quote
Super Existence Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 They're all armours, I was thinking the same thing I think the arms casings are too short but maybe it's me. Quote
odin Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 If you look closely on the closeup of the red snapper where the logo is you can see that the cylindrical forearms has some hands hidden in it, you just can't see it clearly in with the angles it has but yea it is an armor and it's proportions are accurate. Quote
Super Existence Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Yep, well spotted. Also I think the arms seem to short because they are at an angle towards us, if they were straight they'd hang down lower. I doubt they'd mess up something as obvious as proportions on something like this. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I totally agree, I don't think they would miss something so important, this is why I am wondering if it's some kind of drone. I took the liberty of drawing a Tony Stark outline over the armour. it is clear to me it doesn't fit. I wonder that perhaps this large armour fits over his regular armour or something. Quote
durendal Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Hehehe. If you're a real Iron Man Fanboy, you should be in Hong Kong. Take a load of these pictures I took. Suffer with Envy! Nyahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! Quote
durendal Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Some more from the gallery: I uploaded a youtube video for the hologram somewhere..... Quote
durendal Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Oh, here it it..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnEddK76EoE Oh, did I mention we get to see it in theaters next week? 1 Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Oh, here it it..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnEddK76EoE Oh, did I mention we get to see it in theaters next week? Have I mentioned that I hate you? No? Because I hate you. Really hate you. With a burning passion I hate you. Because you did not attempt to steal one of the 1:1 armors and ship it to me! Bastard! 1 Quote
Super Existence Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 You forgot to mention Play Imaginative doing 1/4 scale diecast 50 point posable Iron Man 3 figures. These are only prototypes, they will get much better but Goddamn they made me foam at the mouth. Check out the link to see Red Snapper, War Machine, Iron Patriot, Gemini, Mark 42 and Heartbreaker.</p> http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126349 Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 One thing I find amusing is that one of the armors is the Silver Centurion...In the comics, that was the suit that Tony used to battle Obadiah Stane (the Iron Monger). 1 Quote
durendal Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 First day of showing today and just saw it. I can't believe I skipped work just to watch this movie. Well, I did have to renew my drivers license so I guess that's a good an excuse as any. Anyway, the movie wasn't up to my expectations. It was a "meh" movie for me. Didn't see a lot of screen time for the Mark XLII. Funny after credits scene too. Didn't expect that guy to be there. After so many Marvel movies that came out, I can't believe that there's only a handful of people who actually waits for the after credit scene. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Its crazy how quick you seen this movie already! Quote
durendal Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 You think it's crazy? Yeah, we Asian guys get to see it first, but we don't get to see the last minute additions. Like for Avengers? We didn't get the shawarma scene at the end of the movie. But then again, we're just 1 day ahead of the UK opening, which I guess is today, the 25th, right? Our time zone just happens to be 8 hours or more ahead of the rest of you guys. So when it's the 23rd for some of you, it's already the 24th for us. One thing about this movie is that it streamlines the movie Tony Stark into the comic book Tony Stark. I'm not going give any spoilers, but Extremis is mentioned a lot. And I mean a lot. Oh, and you'd be surprised about how they treated the Mandarin. Some might find it funny like I did, but others might find it infuriating. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Wait, so this is coming out today, here in the states!? F***! Now I have to at least make an attempt to see it as I do have the day off from work. Durendal, despite it being a 'meh' movie for U, would U recommend it due to the $4.75 ticket fee I'd have to pay and the 20 minute drive to the theaters that I'd have to make? Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 How do you get to see it at 4.75? Its 9.50 here and as far as i know the states release date is still may 3rd. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 you guys are lucky. if I wanted to see this movie, the minimum i would have to pay is the equivalent of $14.97 Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Is that plain or in 3d? $9.50 is the normal price here. And for 3d its $14.50 Quote
