I'm really excited for this to be coming out. What I think is even more amazing is that they're letting Jaime Fox come back as Electro. That doesn't happen a whole lot. Normally they just re-cast the role out to another actor.

They did a lot of things right with the previous Spider-Man.  I guess Disney have finally realized that big money comes from listening to the fans.  I'm just waiting for Disney to buy out Sony (or at least the right to Spider-Man) so they can go all out.

They're even bring back Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus too, gotta say they're pulling out the stops here.

Nice. He did a good job as Doc OC. I think this movie is going to be a classic when it hits. I have high hopes for it.

Yeah. Marvel doesn't even want Sony to own the rights to Spider-Man anymore. They may have to take them to court and pay a large sum just to get Sony out of the picture. That won't be pretty.

That one line convinced me to watch this in itself. So hearing the william Dafoe goblin laugh...

I didnt see electro in the trailer so Im hoping that means Tobey Mcguire and Andrew Garfield are also being kept secret.

Tho i should point out that neither them or William Dafoe is listed under the cast for this movie.

I do like how Peter's constant talking got them into this madness. I'm so stoked they are going the multiverse route. I loved the spiderverse/spidergeddon arcs and this is just gold to me.

So timeline-wise, does this come first or Doctor Strange 2?  So who's the real culprit for the the multiverse of madness?  Scarlet Witch, Loki or Spiderman?  And from the looks of this, it seems they're following the Brand New Day route.  Mephisto anyone? (This speculation just won't die, won't it )

Durandel... your evil...

Oh God I hope they don't do brand new day....

Current comics are in the midst of addressing that(well, technically One more Day)... Hopefully removing it, but thats my dream out come.

Looks like spider-man will release this year in December, and dr strange will release in March next year.

I watched wandavision, and didn't see any multiversy things there.... so maybe Pete and his big mouth starts this?

You know, I never really liked the one more day story line.  I always respected Joe Quesada, but I just don't agree to him "un-marrying" Peter and MJ.  And that's the problem with big comics companies, they are forced to do retcons upon retcons just to maintain the status-quo.  Spider-Man has been in publication for more than 50 years and we don't see any major social development for Peter Parker.  I mean getting married was a big life changing event, but then what, now he's single again?  And the only time we see them have kids are on alternate realities.

This is the reason why I like reading other smaller independent comic books.  They're less restricted from corporate policies.  Look at Savage Dragon, the story moves in real time, and the main character now is already the son of the original character.  But that's another topic.

Anyway, I can now see why Sony/Marvel has been trying to withhold the trailer.  It gave a lot of the story line and surprises away.  Unless of course they are trolling us with this and a lot of these stuff doesn't come out on the actual movie.  I have to admit, they sometimes have this touch of twisting the real story using bits and pieces of the movie to mislead the fans.

Disney is skilled with misdirection. At least for me.

This is just hearsay, I never read this in an official source, but I heard that the reason quesada split them up was because he himself went thru a horrible divorce. But I dont know how accurate this is.

Renew your vows is probably my favorite alternate reality spiderman comic. He has a little girl, and him and Mary Jane have powers and patrol together. Its so awesome seeing them connect like this and seeing it actually work.

All I know is I made the mistake of watching this before bed the night of release and I couldn't fall asleep for 2 hours because I was so hyped... "Hello Peter."

This is going to be so... amazing!

Dude.... mephisto needs to chill! Lol.

Seriously tho, he is showing up so much right now making deals and retconning so much backstory.... they need to lay off him as the hidden big bad for bad things happening to heros.

I find it funny that the trailer had a trailer.   They really did hyped this movie up and it better deliver.  So do you guys think Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield is gonna be in this film?  Tobey says they're in it, but Andrew keeps denying and says he isn't in it?  Who do you think is a better troll?

Maybe they are in it - but not as Spider-Man.

I mean, in 'Spider-verse' different Peters had different outcomes.

Imagine if Andrew plays a Peter who became Venom, instead. Or if Toby plays a Peter Parker who retired from superhero stuff and is happily married with Mary Jane (that way you can even have a teenage Spider-Girl - their daughter May).

Interestingly this just made me realize they can totally introduce Miles Morales if they want.

Huh...hadn't even considered that possibility...

I'm seeing this tomorrow, so I'm pretty excited. I honestly don't think I'm getting any sleep tonight. It sounds kinda childish I know, but just the idea of a new spiderman movie, interacting with all those villians... heck, I'm a kid again.

Durandel, why so late? It never really occurred to me that the release date would be different for different countries.

Regional restrictions I guess?  It's usually like that to us third world areas.  There are also regions that do not have cinemas open yet due to Covid.  Spoilers are already starting to populate in youtube so I guess I'll have to avoid youtube for a while.
