W'Kar Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 All right. In order to jack up this board with a little more activity I'm going to start a new series of topics relating to What if... questions posted by me. Everyone add in your opinions and tell the story as you see it would have happened. And here is the first...! What if... The Anubis personality had presented itself when W'Kar had reached his 3rd Evolutionary Stage? Speculations? How do you feel the story would have changed? Quote
Juggernought Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Well for one, at that stage W'kar wasn't the strongest being in his universe. With Anubis' personality kicking in so early, everyone would have put a stop to him right away. But then that would depend if Anubis, knowing he wasn't the strongest overall, would he have immediately gone into hiding in order to build up his strength and forces or would he have tried a direct attack as he did in his current red dragon evolution... There could also be the possibility that with all the knowledge he would have gleaned from his unit, he could have still cooperated with Chronos and the AAR to the point that the Creators could have been attacked on the scale which he originally did. Then he probably would have betrayed his "allies" and turned on them as well. And if Anubis had emerged earlier, knowing he was so weak, and what the unit was doing to him in order to gain more power quickly to get back to full strength, he would have been constantly picking fights or finding ways to siphon energy into himself in order to gain power. Aranor Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 First I would have to ask, is the personality dominant? Or does it come out once in a while kinda like Fei and ID from Xenogears? The Anubis personality is more calculating then Greg. Knowing there are so many who are close in power, and possibly could overwhelm him by combining their efforts he would need to take his time. Perhaps take one or two of the guyver out while training. Taking advantage of the friendship between he and Alkanphal he might ask to speak to him alone using the shape shifting ability of his armor and attack Alkanphal when he is least expecting it. An unsuspecting Alkanphel being attacked from behind by a fully charge megasmasher should get rid of him. Though it would alert others thus it would have to be done somewhere private. During emotional turmoil Anubis might take the time to do something similar to Albass. Perhaps letting the guyvers know someone amongst the zoalords somehow broke their bond with Alkanphal and has gone berserk leading them to be weary among the zoalords and eventually causing war between the two. With Alkanphal and Albass gone the war will not last long. A few of the guyvers might be taken out during the fights. Anubis hiding behind Greg's face might use an excuse to be off fighting some creator. Using his shape shifting ability return as some new form of Kavzar and fight what remains of the guyvers. Use the Chronos labs to create zoanoids without reasoning or personality. Drones to be used in his war on disorder. Quote
W'Kar Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 The Anubis personality is complete, taking over the Warlord Evolution completely. Quote
largo Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Yeah as much of a bada** that W'kar is with the Anubis persionallity that early would have pretty much brought down the wrath of everyone from the Creators to Chronos, heck even the AAR. Quote
exscaped_pyscho Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 My opinion isn't too different from what has been stated already, so I'll keep it brief. I think Abubis would continue to appear as Greg to the best of his abilities. But at the same time he could Appear to be a completly new player such as another Repo unit, or as a Kavzar (like was stated before), to attack various people indivitually to weed out the potential enemies. However I think the number one thing he would do is begin to utiliaze his untaped knowledge and begin to assemble a new type of army to allow him to spread both mistrust between the guyver and zoaform factions on Earth. And begin manipulating the AAR as well as the Creators against each other. Perhaps helping both sides when needed to ensure they do the maximum damage to each other, until he was ready to inact their mutual destrustion. Simple battle stradigy really turn you enemies against each other and sit back and watch the blood bath. Perhaps with a little hit and run tactics thrown in here and there. Quote
Juggernought Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Well you do have a point about him appearing as something else. He could possibly change the appearance of his armor so that no one would recognize him in his dealings with others, at least until he evolves that is. Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I think that if he was to do the aforementioned changing of appearance, he might leave littel tell tale clues as to who he really is for the others to figure out. I mean, the current Anubis barged into the Creator Council as it was in a meet. If that doesn't speak of someone who want's thier handiwork known, i don't know what does. He seems to revel in his menstrations. IMHO ofcourse. I would expect to see alot of M. Night Shyamalan type of plot twist as they tried to figure out who this person is and his/her/it's real intentions (since he's changinf his appearance...who's to say he stays a he? ). Quote
McAvoy Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 The anubis we know thinks he is a god because not a single person can take him down. That sort of power changes a person more so than what the transformation from Greg to Anubis did. But at the third stage Anubis is on a similar level to several other beings. His fight with Dreadnought may not have ended so easily I think (aside from Atrahasis). He would try to force a another transformation since at 17x, he could be killed by Necro Guyver, Warrior Ninja, Nano Xetel, Malice, and Guyver Alkanphel or XT2. Quote
jedi-guyver Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I think that he would have used the knowledge from the unit and start consolidating power, perhaps raising Albass to be more like him. Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I believe that he would have gone into hiding. Not so much of hiding as hiding in plain sight. That is, he would still pose as Greg, up to a point. Maybe "phase" from Greg's personality to his own over a period of time. Yet, at the same time, he'd probable appear as various people to perhaps sow distrust as well as eliminate his potential threats. Conversely Alan, it could also be asked, "What if the Anubis personality had never presented itself?" Quote
Spartan Warlord Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 well see shall soon see in the WG universe Quote
McAvoy Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Anubis's personality came through because of a combination of stimuli. 1. Attack on Earth with practically no hope of saving Earth. W'Kar isn't powerful to take on thousands of Orobouras. He can barely take on one. 2. His best friend, Alkanphal is dead, saving Earth. 3. He just came from a Creator vessel that practically killed him and Cassandra, the love of his life was nearly experimented on. If he didn't escape when he did, there would have been a good chance that Grend would have experimented on Cassadra with not a care of what he would do to Cassadra. 4. Ultimately the spark that made this all happen was Jarrod's death. He was already incredibly angry at this time it was a matter of time before he blew his top. I do not see this happening to W'Kar in the WG universe. Since none of the above will happen and if it did he would not care. So more than likely, whatever triggers his next evolution will be during combat which will merely boost his power alittle. WG W'Kar will never ever transform into a anti-Anubis because that will be a fic ender. Quote
