McAvoy Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I really enjoyed the second part. Though I wonder what made Sho prior to Chapter 7 become what he is now? Also, is this like the older ones right after Book 15? Lastly, what is the difference from the old datafiles and the new ones? I mean why not just update the old ones as new information is presented? *zeo Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Glad you enjoyed the fic McAvoy The fic diverges from the Manga after book 16 and by the time Sho meets up with Sean is about a year later. So yes they are a bit older. As for the Data Files, the problem is Chronicles is nearly a complete retake on the Story, so we have to do a complete retake on the Data Files. Especially since new data on the Guyver and most significantly the Gigantic require a re-adjustment to the power scales that would require more than minor changes to the original data files. Additionally the older Data Files are still valid for the original fic version so they will remain as an archive so readers can references them for those fics. Quote
xtro guyver Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 good read, really liked the fight with the grakken. Its also nice change for Sho to keep the gigantic secret from the ACTF Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I really enjoyed reading this new chapter in the story and the way that you introduced the Grakken. It seems to be more detailed than the previous stories that have been done. Quote
Guyver XT Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Thanks for the feedback. I know it's been a long wait getting it out. But I hope it was worth it. Beginning work on Chapter Three, and hopeful of a shorter turn-around for it. ( You keep your darn law to yourself Murphy!) Quote
largo Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yah, it was way cool I really enjoyed the fact that you get to see the garkken's actually taking cori not just a breif note about it. Also that there is more to the story before jason gets the warrior unit. Quote
jedi-guyver Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I enjoyed the how a standard guyvers abilities were portrayed making it seem a lot more powerful than the orginal fan fic had always made it. I also like how the developement of all the characters was way more indepth this time around, espaially Sean and Stephen. Quote
*zeo Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Cool, but since we're starting over on the board, does anyone have any comments about part 1 as well? Do the two parts go well together? Quote
McAvoy Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 The only issue I have is that they end with a time. I think since they're two (or three or four parters) that they should have the normal "To be Continued..." in the end. Though I am curious on how Chronicles will be written once the other characters from the other fanfics come into play. Quote
*zeo Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 The only issue I have is that they end with a time. You don't say Quote
McAvoy Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 So... you're saying that there might be added stuff later on to both fanfics? Quote
WarriorZoalord Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Interesting differences between the original and the new, I like the fact that we discover grakken finding the mountain hideout, where as in the original it was just mentioned. in my opinion the new fanfics good, but i hope that dosent mean you'll stop doing the old ones, I still enjoy reading them. Quote
*zeo Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 So... you're saying that there might be added stuff later on to both fanfics? No but you are missing something Quote
jedi-guyver Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 So... you're saying that there might be added stuff later on to both fanfics? No but you are missing something Could it be that there is almost 12 hours of time that is missing from part 1 to part 2? Or Is it that your counting down to something? One other question though. Is the time in days hours minutes or hours minutes and seconds? Quote
*zeo Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Hmm, getting warmer Sorry, but we're basically waiting to see if anyone is going to figure this one out on their own. Quote
McAvoy Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Maybe it has to do with something about the other fanfics perhaps? Like maybe the introduction of Guyver C? It's interesting that Primitive Guyver appeared so early compared to the older one, though. Quote
WarriorZoalord Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 If its not what McAvoy says I'll say its when Jason bonds with the warrior unit, or the start of that mission. Though I hope that We see more of Twilight guyver's story, even if the writer dosent do WG fics anymore, I liked that unit. Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 X-day. X-Day has already happened long in the fics. Quote
McAvoy Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Also, I believe the Warrior Guyver appears in Part 3. No, both parts have missing parts with times but no story. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 maybe you guys should user spoiler alerts? after all this is discussion for chronicles part 2, not future chapters. not all of us have been with warriorguyver from the beginning. Quote
McAvoy Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 I haven't been with Warrior Guyver from the beginning. I started reading when Kron first appeared and then a little later Zues. In fact the most current fic out was All Things Part 3 at the time. I have no clue what's going on with the site beyond speculation. Besides it's rather obvious that Warrior Guyver will appear soon or later. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 yeah, i wasn't referring specifically to you dude, I ws more concerned about things like 'jason is warriorguyver' and things like that. I have only started readoing since the chronicles started and so for me, that part is kinda ruined now. there are other things being said as well, not just that. that was just one part that stood out. Quote
McAvoy Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 Well, man c'mon it's pretty obvious who is the Warrior Guyver, if you read any of the stories or the Datafiles by even a little, it's like saying Vader is Luke's father. Quote
