Guyver

Anybody seen it yet? I just picked up my copy today and despite only being a few pages (sigh) it's clear that the poop is now hitting the fan!!

Okay so this is pretty weird and not the best graphics or anything, but it did bring a smile across my face to think that Guyver is still more popular than people realize.

Would Apollon be capable of killing Alkanphel? Thoughts? I know he's doing well against Sho's Gigantic Red Exceed. That and he's taken down a zoalord without much effort. About in the same manner it was like Alkanphel swatting Guyot like a fly as he pulled out his zoacrystal in the series. I also think that with Alkanphel's sleep disorder that this would give both Sho and Apollon an advantage if he were to engage them in combat.

Ok guys, I haven't read anything in nearly two-three years now, and before I make a pledge/pre-order and want not, I was wondering where I need to pick up at in the books. The last thing I remember when I left off, was Agito and Sho finished their fight, Aptom was fighting some Libertus, and Griselda was nearly killed by Guyver II F and Guyot. Some flashbacks with Risker/Lisker and Archanfel woke up and was pretty ticked. So, where should I pick up the manga again? I imagine I've missed quite a lot.

So. Seeing as Griselda and the libertus have very short life spans. Is it possible he's going to salvage a zoacrystal off the dead bodies off of Jabir Ibn Hayyan and Luggnagg de Krumeggnic to keep her around?.....or could it be that he's just going to kill them and leave it at that because Agito might be aware that they were behind Richard Guyot's revival as a rogue and attack on the mansion? Payback?

So if you were a Zoalord. Would you want a Guyver unit to have more power? Yes? Maybe? No? Be like Richard Guyot maybe? Perhaps succeed where he failed? I probably wouldn't try it. Who knows if it would be worth it or if my zoacrystal would reject the unit. That'd suck if that happened than I'd end up being a rogue or just dead and lose my zoacrystal to Archanfel...or be killed out right.

Okay. Shouldn't Cronos know better by now? They literally throw out basic zoanoids and Hyper Zoanoids against Agito and Sho...(not to mention Aptom and Guyver 2F), who by the way are now slaughtering them the Gigantics and in Agito's case, he's using the Libertus as a nice little bonus. Richard Guyot in the 2005 adaptation mentioned that they'd only be wasting their resources, yet...they do it any way. Lets not forget, they've been doing it more since Richard was discarded by Alkanphel for treason. So why waste Zoanoids? At this point, they're nothing but meat shields. Even after Agito's defeat from Sho, and seeing as Shizu had 40 shades or crap beat out…

So, after Sho and Agito are done carrying out Cronos's and Alkanphel's sentence. Is Aptom going to turn on Sho and want a rematch or does he know he lacks the fire power to take on the big red Gingantic Exceed? I don't think his ice powers from Hayami are going to be enough. I don't see any reason why he should go up against Sho. But if he does, it'd be pretty stupid and lame. It hasn't been mentioned by Aptom that he wouldn't...unless I missed something down the road. Does anyone think he would? Is he passed his desire to kill Sho for his fallen comrades or does he 100% blame Richard Guyot, the 12 holy commanders and Cronos for that now?

Thats my question. It just seems too good to be true. Like what if a god... knew that the Guyvers would be the down fall of Alkanphel? What if Alkanphel, angered a god and by coincidence. Sho was chosen as an instrument of justice....and he keeps on getting stronger and stronger. Like it was meant to be? I mean at the beginng of episode one. Mizuki described Sho as a light bringer and that he would guide everyone back to the light as if he was some messiah. I'm just thinking. Sho's been very very lucky with every battle he's been in for a boy who had little fighting experience. Now he gets the gigantic and can now become a giant red titan. Just say…

For those of you interested in fanfiction, what are your favorite stories you'd like to share?

Who is your favorite Guyver? I honestly have always liked Sho and Agito. I didn't care for the rest of the others because Guyver 0 was primitive and went nuts with the Guyver. Guyver 2 was just a bastard in general. and Guyver 2F....well, I'm not entirely sure what to think of her. She's cool I guess. But she's not on my favorites list. She still has to prove herself!

After X-day. If you had the choice to become a low class zoanoid, or put in an application with Cronos to maybe become a Hyper Zoanoid in the far future. Would you? or would you want to stay human? Honestly. I'd want to stay human. I wouldn't want to be some zoalords puppet against the Guyvers or an enemy that would kill me out right because I would be easily over powered by them. Humans may not be as strong is that the zoalords don't have reign over their minds unless they're optimized as a zoanoid and thats my biggest issue.

I've been wondering. Trying to put myself in Sho's shoes. How does he do it? I mean....he gets the unit, than all of a sudden he has these mutants trying to kill him that are sent by a greedy corporation. His dad is turned into a puppet and he's forced to kill him. He lost his home. Because of Cronos, he's been branded an enemy of the public. And than, Sho does snap and loses the ability to bio morph for a while. But that comes back pretty quick to him after a fight with Aptom. I would lose my damn mind if I were Sho. I have no idea what keeps pushing him..aside from revenge. I would want to run away. I'm surprised he's not drinking or taking anti depressa…

I think we need to make a thread of places where the Guyver manga can be purchased for fellow Guyver fans looking into purchasing the series or whatnot. I just spent $40+ on eBay getting just two volumes (as an artist that's a huge cut into my paycheck). If you guys know of any places that sell the manga or series products (legally) please post a comment so it can be added to the list. Not meaning to rock the boat. I was surfing around the net and I found this topic floating on Reddit. Not sure if its a big deal at the moment....and people are likely to fuss and complain about how things work in just about anything. But I so happened to find this floating around on Reddit. "See you in hell Guyver!" Is it me or is this something of a Zoanoid catchphrase or battle cry. This line has be yelled in both the OVA's and the Series a few times, when ever I think of zoanoids fighting guyvers that line always pops into my head. Do they yell it because they fully expect to die in the battle? I mean they will but its makes me feel bad for them. They have no choice in fighting the guyver, they must do as a zoalord commands. Poor scrubs .

Been thinking about this lately. Just with this forum in general. Nothing to do with the manga or the scanlations. My question as my exact question is if Yoshiki Takaya would be offended with some of our comments, feedback, and opinions? I know a few of the GA members have expressed disappointment in the past in a few threads on the forum. I'm not stating any of it was overly negative.
