  1. Totally agree Ryuki. You cant say that he's wrong and we're all morons for believing it. I never said this was anything more than a very lovely theory, if you dont agree then fine but there is no need to belittle everyone else here.
  2. I doubt well ever truly figure things out but it's nice to see a theory that doesn't fly in the face of mysticim in fact it embraces it and also the concept of an interconnected web of minds it very uplifting next to the cold harsh realities of other scientific theories.
  3. Yes but the creators never intended for zoanoids to fight unit-g's, chances are they developed this class of zoanoids to fight something much weaker. If they can create and control a being as powerful as Alcanphel as well as steer the course of life on earth Balcus has not yet surpassed them. Also the ACM can only operate for a short period of time whereas the Guyver seems to operate indefinitely.
  4. Balcus may have figured out some of the creator tech but he absolutely hasn't improved in it in anyway neither the zoanoid tech nor Artificial control medal seem to be as good as what the creators could produce. The creators made Alcanphel which is more powerful than anything Balcus made, Alcanphel also cannot cure his own sleeping sickness caused by the uranus.
  5. Damn, I never see these debates until they're more or less over. The only thing I have to add is there seems to be an unclear line between intelligence and instincts. The advents steered evolution in the same way as selective breeding to enhance certain characteristics. In terms of war, warmongering by human beings is all based on fear and aggression. If those instinctive qualities were enhanced by the advents then surely they would still be there as (as far as we know) all human beings where steered into this evolutional path thus we had no untampered human beings to mate with to dilute the advents breeding programs (although the zoanoids mated with mankind there is no reason to belive that the creators turned every human they had developed into a zoanoid). I suppose one thing that we have never had any clear definition of in the creators plans is the intelligence of man, did they intend to train us or leave us as is for Alcanphel to direct as automatons. if the latter is true then they never intended for us to develop a higher intelligence which would give us reason and the capacity to step beyond our violent instincts. As for that last possibility about the advents plans, why would they concoct the Guyver threat, surely they would have just left with the plan to return when Alcapnhel had developed the planet, also he very nearly failed to deflect the moon which was thrown at earth and it still created devestation on earth. If this was their plan it very nearly failed due the incredible high risk.
  6. Well the crystal and the CM would probably reinforce one another. The crystal would provide greater attack power and the CM might possibly provide the crystal with limitless power from the boost dimension so a zoalord wouldnt have a time limit or become exhasuted after it's super attacks.
  7. Zoacrystals are just batteries where as the CM is a powerful computer and would work out a way of bypassing the auto imune response of the crystal. I doubt it would be visible on a Guyver zoalord hybrid as it is a part that is vulnerbale to damage but having said that so is the CM. I wonder how placement would work as they both occupy the same part of the forehead, perhaps with the CM directly on top of it. The more fascionating idea is a Guyver Zoalord Gigantic.
  8. Genius The front fell off... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0LPUI0lfVw&feature=related
  9. For fans of 80's cartoon 'The Racoons.' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usFFKNRB2z8
  10. The concept of Aptom actually being a virus seems to fit with everythign we've learned about him. Takaya based him on John Carpenters 'The Thing' which is also similar to a Virus.
  11. Thanks so much Durendal...I know you probably don't want to do the Max factory kits page so don't worry about that. Any chance you could do the japanese bits under the last pages of illustrations. It's only a few lines. Thanks for all the hard work. It's the end of an era!
  12. Aptom can take over a being from a simple cell. How does his intelligence transfer over? The human brain is a large organ and surely memory capacity is dependant on size. I know about instincts being genetically programmed such as 'fight or flight' but surely something as complex as a full personality and a lifetime of experiences would be beyond the cells capacity to store, even cells as unique as Aptom. Or am I wrong?
  13. At the moment the appeal of CGI effects are waning they arent as powerful as they were, the public have seen nearly everything effects can throw at them now. If you've noticed why there are so many super hero movies coming out is because they already have a following and are fairly well engrained into people's minds from an early age. Same goes for transfomers and why hollywood are chasing so many of these kinds of characters to turn into films. They have appeal based on nostalgia but they'll soon run out fo those too. Peopel think this is a new thing but it has happenined before. The 70's was an awful period for movies there were some classics but people neglect to realise there was bucket loads of crap that came out and people forget all about them. Even Francis Ford Coppola has mentioned this and he grew up in that era. People are fickle and eventually it will become boring. I think we're seeing signs of that now. Think about it. For me the last big massive event movies where Terminator 2, Jurassic park and to a slightly lesser degree Independance Day. Those marketing campaigns were so titanic you could not ignore these movies. These days those campaigns aren't anywhere near as big, I think the day of the event movie is over and now we are just left with blockbusters and their time will come too...
  14. I think a lot of the differences between say 70's and 80's movies have something to do with what was happening in the world at the time. Seventies movies tended to be very dark and cynical as the US had recently come out of the vietnam war and it was a reflection of people's attitudes. The 80's was all about greed and aquiring things and also the zeitgeist of the time was that everyone had to be successful or an action hero and so the movies reflected that. The trouble with today's movies is life is a little boring. Nothing is happening that is affecting cultural attitudes so movies and music and art in general is pretty hollow. As grim as it sounds if we had a bad war of somekind a few years down the line art would get interesting again. It's cynism and frustration that seems to power great art, for some reason decadence and easy living seem to have an adverse effect on passionate creativity.
  15. I agree. there's no craftsmanship in the same way some gobo who gets a picture of you and uses filters in PS is an artists. This isn't something from nothing it's somethign from something. Same if he'd made a book full of pages of the greatest writers in the world doesn't make him a great writer, they're just organisers. I've seen artists like this guy before who create made up scenes of drama for stills. I must say I don't like the guys lighting at all it's harsh and way too contrasty it looks a little bit amatuerish actually. His Victorian people are a bit better though.
  16. Real life Micro Machines! I want the diablo! http://www.carandsuv.co.nz/news/8125/smorv...ghini/gallery/6
  17. Wow I thought his explanation of Guyot was amazing, makes him seem like an even deeper character. Seems like there will be a huge three way fight between Agito Sho and Cronos. I thought it was really interesting the way he explained Agito's actions that by saving the world from Cronos and then usurping them he makes himself a hero in the publics eyes. Fascinating stuff.
  18. Wow I didn't see he'd mentioned that movie. I've seen it, it's a load of honk. Although the creature in it does look very H.R. Gieger. If I remember rightly it kills people by sucking the spinal fluid out of them with a syringe tongue, another military experiment gone wrong B movie.
  19. Wow I thought we'd never see the day! Thanks so much for that 'D'. Something happened here today...something good.
  20. Check the video here this gun is awesome! http://www.gizmag.com/aa-12-combat-shotgun...utomatic/11393/ D30 the magic material http://thefutureofthings.com/video/6580/sm...human-body.html Some beautiful steam age sci-fi concept artwork http://www.alexbroeckel.com/menalto/main.php?g2_itemId=150
  21. God these are some of the most beautiful women on Earth.
  22. Yeah that's true, never noticed that.
  23. Graveyard shift is about a giant mutant bat, not sure if the book was the same as for the rats in that movie they were just normal friendly rats they weren't maneater or anything. God that movies sucked in a cool B movie kind of way.
  24. Dang. That Hawking documentaries something I might be working on supplying the cameras for the green screen stuff and the firm doing the CG is run by a mate of mine. I love those satellite pics of the volcano. I'd love to see some high res versions.
  25. Perhaps you should read James Herberts Rats trilogy. In that a crazed scientist cross breeds the common black rat with mutants contaminated by radiation. The creatures then start terrorising Lodon and eating the inhabitants. Quite good books. That rats in his story are the size of a small dog and are totally carnivorous. There teeth are like normal rats but their front incisors are razor sharp overgrown and act like scissors when they attack. They also attack on mass swarming their victims. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rats_(novel)
