  1. But there's no boost material, it looks like a hi-end version of zoanoid armour and why the cape? Seems to far removed for it to be a Guyver Zoalord.
  2. I like that idea were they almost go into time stasis in between waiting for results but what does knacker that idea is what about the home world and the war which is always brewing. Unless when they went back home they went back to the 'Time' they left. Almost like our planet was a time stasis laboratory they went to. I think our driving force will only have to propel us for another few decades. Any further development then comes from the creation of a sufficiently powerful AI. Many scientists have now said when we develop a self aware self replicating computer that can improve on it's successors, it will be the last invention we will have to make as it will take up the mantle of generating new technological breakthroughs without our interference. This deserves a topic of it's own I could ream off on exponential technology trends till the cows come home!
  3. evolution and cultural development etc, technological advances only happen when there is a need for it. in idealogical societies, where there is no challenge and where things start to run like clockwork, the rate of change will slow to a crawl. if the creators won their war or if the war ended, their civilisation would have changed little. our civilisation changes rapidly because there is a drive for it. but when people start to become comfortable with their situation, they cease to evolve. or evolve very slowly. take a look at the Amish as a good example. since the advents chose to evolve life on earth in order to fight their war, it's possible their culture stagnated and they found themselves unable to adapt or change quickly. so they chose to recruit a form of life that is evolving quickly. it's also possible that their kind of war is completely different from ours. perhaps their wars are more like a cold war. perhaps there was no actual fighting. perhaps the war was the speed with which they could develop a strong slave race. Possibly but the human race has an exponential curve of technology which is doubling every year so there is no reason to believe the advents wouldn't have the same. I think if there was a time shift of somekind involved it would have made more sense to me say they lived outside of linear time time so a week to them was millions of years to us, etc. That would make more sense to me.
  4. The problem with the Advents is the same one as Prometheus. A massively advanced advancing very little over a million year period. Even if they advanced only a hundred thousand years they would be unrecognisable from when they first arrived.
  5. Ah Good, work. Great to see these being redone. Are they complete yet, BTW?
  6. Starting to confirm that Imakarum is Apollon if he's bring them to Alcanphels location.
  7. I remember posting this one a long time ago on the original Guyver board. If Aptom absorbed Sho, could he summon the Guyver?
  8. Damn recap... Never even mentioned what became of Agito after the fight. Two consecutive recaps...what a bottomer.
  9. Could whoever has successfully downloaded this reupload it to rapid share or sendspace? That Russian site is a joke.
  10. Am I the only one who thought it was mediocre? It also looked like the VFX were identical to that battleship cack coming out. I mean exactly the same type of effects done to colour, lighting, detail etc. It was good for a super hero movie but I am sick and tired of them and I felt it pandered almost exclusively to the geek crowd. Movies should be able to pull in non comic book fans as well as those in the know and I just felt that it wasn't a very intelligent movie all round. I'm not a fan of the batman movies but they show how it is possible to attempt comic book movies as an intelligent film. They shouldn't have the excuse of 'Well the fight at the end is all that matter, etc.' I also had a hard time getting sucked in when I saw Thor and Loki in those ridiculous costumes and some of the dialogue was ridiculous like Coulson when he shot Loki with the destroyer weapon has a massive hole blown in him and is dying yet still finds the time to quip, 'Oh, that's what it does.' The only clever stuff I saw was Black Widow manipulating Loki when he thought he was manipulating her. Maybe I'm being too harsh but it just lacked depth and felt like an episode of a cartoon come to life. At least Iron Man one had some depth to it. I don't know, it just lacked charm to me and felt like a two hour, 'buy the figures!' commercial in much the same was He man and transformers did back in the 80's I did think the Mark 7 armour rocked though...
  11. I think it's definitely not Alcanphel as he doesn't report to anyone and we have sen Apollon speak of a mission as though he is under orders.
  12. I suppose it's a much better explanation than ageing. Makes much more sense than the zoacrystal creating a permanent sate of youth. Sold.
  13. I do agree with the ageing thin and the crystal, I found that a weak and overused plot point. It always seemed to me that their immortality and other abilities are genetically encoded and the zoacrystal is simply a huge battery to power them. To suddenly have his ageing linked to the crystal itself seemed a bit contrived and depowered the genetic engineering of Cronos.
  14. How is it plain? There's far more evidence to the contrary.
  15. Also having the advents return via Apollon utterly depowers them, they work far superior as a mythological sub text rather than a returning force. Back stories are always much more powerful if they remain in the back. It was why that Thing prequel sucked so bad, nothing could compare to peoples imaginings of what went on in the Norwegian camp.
  16. It seems if this Imakarum his new personality functions in strange ways; 1. He places no value on his fellow zoalords 2. He acts very robotically (but then so did Imakarum to a degree) 3. He acts in a very mission based manor as though he is working to some kind of schedule / under someone's orders. I also postulate that is this is an alternate personality he may not be unaware of past events, functioning only to complete his mission. Perhaps this could be part of the Alchanphel brian washing program; If something goes wrong he is to use the armour to retrieve crystals and or other objectives set to him by Alcanphel before his dormancy, this program countermands all other Cronos objectives and personel making him even more of a machine than he was before. As he is a potential threat to Cronos Alcanphel makes sure his face his hidden so that Cronos doesn't turn against Imakarum and Alcanphel whilst these strange objectives are carried out.
  17. The grave are meant to be acknowledgment of the end of the era for the gang, not insinuating a new grave was dug, also it's clearly in real time, not later on, I doubt they would dig a grave exposed as their refuge burned around them, it's not Natsuki. I don't think this is meant to be making out this Apollon is Alcanphel as a red herring for later on, Carleon didn't think it was him and Alchy was asleep when Apollon was doing the rounds, not to mention his armour seems to give him Alchy level abilities. Neither would Alchy kill his own loyal troops. So this is either Imakarum or someone new. I'd forgotten about the 'Those two' comment. I always assumed he was referring to the rogues so he could take their crystals (as he seems to be gunning for disloyal, dead zoalords or those that get in his way. I wonder why he knew Guyot would lead him to the Segawas, that would insinuate he knew what Guyots goal would be and nobody here had a clue he was after the Segawas.
  18. I this is Imakarum he seems to have a split personality and so perhaps doesn't have access to certain memories.
  19. Sho's gonna be pissed when he gets back home. 'For Christ's sake, I leave you alone for FIVE minutes.
  20. The rumour is that there may be a small alien appearance at the very end but that could be nothing more than a quick shot of an egg or something.
  21. Can't believe there's no topic on this movie, I hope to God it's good. Trailer 1: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/prometheus/ Trailer 2: Trailer 3 (US): Trailer 3 (UK) http://io9.com/5894326/uk-prometheus-digs-deeper-into-the-films-archaeological-mission?utm_campaign=socialflow_io9_facebook&utm_source=io9_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow Viral 1: Viral 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEO3lmVy-tU
  22. I'll ditto the fact that something like this I would prefer to read in full rather than bits as I would lose my momentum in the story. I think it's fantastic that it is being done though.
  23. Yes and no. The advents said they were going to create more zoalords but after what happened with the unit G the cancelled the project and left with the intentions of levelling the planet. I don't dispute there is a possibility they have created another Alcanphel type being to takeout the earth but I highly doubt it for several reasons. 1. Guyver zero showed them how much a threat they would be under from a simple bio boosted human so they probably realised what would happen should Alcanphel get a unit. Clearly there was no work around for this problem or they would have implemented it, instead they decided to leave the planet and sterilise the area. So why would they create another zoalord susceptible to a unit G and therefore potentially able to turn on the Uranus, especially with Guyvers running around down there with Gigantics, navispheres and who knows what else this would be a massive risk on their part and undermine why they left the Earth in the first place. 2. Why is he collecting Zoacrystals? He nearly let Carleon go. It seems Apollon is only after crystals of either fallen zoalords or the rogues and doesn't wish to take out those loyal to cronos unless they stand in his way. Strange behaviour from an adversary who is here to wipe out the Earth. If he is an advent agent this is an incredibly convoluted way of taking out the earth. Some people have said 'well he's collecting the crystals so Cronos won't have them.' Well that's pointless if they want to wipe out the Earth there are much easier and less tricky ways 3. If they wanted to destroy the earth they could throw any number of celestial bodies at it again rather than send this guy down. I also don't dispute his arrival looks like Alcanphels transportations but that more than likely means Apollon is either Alcanphel or Imakarum (his abilities are nearly that of Alcanphels and perhaps this suit gives him the edge.) We have already seen Imakarums personality going through some strange moments of inner doubt (this is in the second image you posted and doesn't help your argument for Apollon being a Uranus agent, it does show Imakarum as being potentially Apollon so I'm not sure why you posted it). Also Carleon himself said there was only one other person with all of Alcanphels abilities before he was cut down by Apollon leaving the question unanswered but insinuating it is Imakarum as we have seen him display many of Alcanphels traits including his massive Psionic powers. The other thing to bear in mind is Takaya doesn't just dump a surprise on us. There are clues before a twist happens so you go back and realise it was staring you in the face. There was a build up to Apollon but so far there has been zero buildup to him being an agent of the Advents. Apollon also doesn't act like someone who is a stranger to this planet, he seems very human and well versed on what is going on. I also hope it isn't the advents as they work great as a back story but would change the plot too radically if they turned up now. It also doesn't make sense that their war would still be going on and they would be be sporting the same biotech hundreds of millions of years later. BTW post counts don't mean a thing. I can be wrong same as anyone.
  24. The advents never created 12, only Alcanphel was made then they left.
  25. Ah, of course.
