Wow; I just looked over the pages I have yet to transcribe, and it seems like I'm nearly at the end of Days of Fire and Thunder. I've just got to get through this one batch of pages, and then I'll have pretty much done it. It's been awhile since I finished a fanfic, I have to admit.

There was a fire just a few houses down from mine two days ago; mom and I were close enough to see not only the thick, billowing smoke but a burst of flames from the start of the fire itself. Luckily, no one was hurt or killed, and the fire department responded fast enough to keep it from spreading to any other houses. So much for nothing ever happening on this block, though.
