the Rewrite/update plan for the next while.
Sully replied to Sully's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Ok time to update this to what the plan is at the moment. Finishing Time War This is what I'm currently working on. At the moment I have chose to completely rewrite what is now part four's beginning. Reason being the old fic didn't flow well logically. I've get to get to a point where this matches up with the old version of the story. But I imagine it will at the point Warrior Guyver actually goes back in time. I do see a lot more needed to be added as the world detailed in Parts 1, 2 and 3 needs to carry forward when Warrior Guyver goes back in time. As before this is a central story line story. Litrally every story after it refers back to it in some way. That's the reason it's getting a lot of work put into it. Union of the Guyvers This is the next story I'll be re-writing. It's basically going to get a whole new beginning and a new "villan" on the Chronos side. the first half of the story will focus purely on ACTf and Guyver US. The point where the present version starts should be now the mid way of the story, where the Japanese Guyvers learn of what happened in the USA. Warrior Guyver 2 The WG2 character story will be the 3rd story to be rewrote before I go to work on Revenge. Reason being in being so different to the main time line fan-fiction it futhers the story and explains why Warrior Guyver 2 gives Guyver 3 the Gigantic. -

I've said this before on the board to so no spoiler here. Look at Agito in the WG2 universe. Key events have happened differently in the WG2 universe for him so that he's basically a litle "nicer". He never made zoa-forms. Zeus Thunderbolt never got the Libertus. I'll let you go from there in guess work, but events like that mean the WG2 universe in the re-write will have more explaination and Guyver story behind it. -
Yup, once the re-write is done and the fic is moving forward again and Takaya has finished is current major arc then I'll go back to it.
-
Yes, but even with the lack of a Gigantic the Libtertus should have made a huge fight of it. there's no real story to it, no sense of lost. No how did Agito escape etc. In short there's some good story to give. Basically yup, the Gigantic in the fan-fic now in the re-write is basically the same as the comics. Meaning Warrior Guyver isn't the most powerful around.
-
Yes, basically Chronos has being fighting Guyvers for 4 years+ by the time of the fan-fiction. They've lost heavily, Zoalords almost killed (in Prug'stalls case he was technically dead for awhile and brought back to life), defeated cut in half... Chronos wouldn't have gone through that and recovered without developing and planning for more combat against the Guyvers. The main difference here to the offical story though is that Alkanphel knows the events that lead up to the paradox. This has twisted the timeline of the offical story and even for Alkanphel unexpected events have happened. After the Dragon Lord event it marked a turning point in the story. Agito's defeat at the same time in Arizona mean what we see now happening in the current offical story won't happen the same way in the fan-fiction. Sho won't be dragged out of hiding into a battle by Agito and Zeus Thunderbolt (quite the opposit as Agito is forced to come to him for help, speanding instead the last 6 months perfecting the Shizu clone). Apollon doesn't happen, what happened to Prug'stall and Khan is answered around this point. Basically the battle as I see it in that fan-fiction would be Guyver 3 and Gigantic Guyver v Rogue Zoalords, Guyot and Valcuria v Chronos. And even then it's more complex than that. So out of this story where in the fan-fiction it's clear of one result, the Rogues lose, Guyot dies and Valcuria escapes. Chronos has learned a lot and becomes stronger, by the time of Union Chronos has all the 12 Zoalords back in power. They didn't do that by losing, and they didn't do that by having those defeated before keeping their old weeknesses that lead to their defeat.
-
Not exactly power boost. Zoalords are bacially made more harder to kill and more anti-Guyver. Basically what happened to Imakarum minus the giant space ship giving him Alkanphel levesl of energy. Zoalords like Prug'stall get more regen abilites, so if a hole was blasted through his chest again, he'd get back up and laugh.
-
Yes but this goes down to story writing and is the point worth the pop at the end when you read "I killed your Family Jason" from Alkanphel. To me it's not because it doesn't allow you to show what is happening in Chronos fully, who is aware of the plot and what is they are after. In the end as this is a rewrite, it's not worth the pop as simply put you all know what happens. This time for the story to actually work and give you guys something new, the story will also show the side of Chronos and who setup events so that Warrior Guyver happened.
-
The lastest Guyver chapter is up at Japan Ledgend. Spoilers! More Guyot and Valcuria, looks like Guyot is as scheming as ever! It's reveaed he's simular now to a Proto-zoalord and his crystal has a undisclosed end of life date! Guyot also has a small army of zoanoids with him too. Chronos isn't handling the idea of two Gigantics well, looks like a Zoalord is going to join in on the battle (the muppet! Good chance he'll be killed off later).
-
Even so, a few hours without Warrior Guyver and Guyver US would be very costly at this stage, even pre-rewrite there is clearly open warfare between ACTF and Chronos. Chronos hasn't used Zoalords against them, but everything else is being thrown at them. In the old version Warrior Guyver was more powerful than most Zoalords (as he was twice the power level of a Gigantic), which actually makes him pre-rewrite more powerful than Alkanphel (that's before All Things Change and he becomes Dreadnought, we then adjusted things so that Alknaphel was his "true power level" to match Dreadnought). The way the story was wrote back then, it really didn't show the side of Chronos properly to explain, Alkanphel actually wanted the Warrior Guyver to happen (for his own, and everyone elses survival). But even so he is smart enough to know that Chronos not to give resistance wouldn't be correct way to go. in the re-write the Warrior Guyver is more powerful than a Guyver, but he's less than half that of a Gigantic. Meaning most Zoalords are capable of killing him. In the old version of Revenge we see what happened when Chronos "takes the gloves off", Guyver US quickly is captured by Zoalords. But the build up is lessoned by the fact it's never mentioned of talked of much apart from the very end of Union where Imakarum talks with Alkanphel. This time will be a little different.

Gigantic Guyver Power Levels
Sully replied to Azaar's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Moved this topic to the science lab area. -
his powers stay the same, the main correction is in that of the Gagantic Guyver, Kron and Agito's Zeus armour.
-
I was thinking more powerful when considering that the gigantic guyver's megasmashers are 100x more powerful than a regular guyver's. You're both wrong... Power Levels for most fan-fiction characters will stay as they are. The power level for a Gignatic will be corrected, making it one of the most powerful Guyvers until Agito makes his Zeus armour. in rough power level terms Black Nova would be about equal to a Gignatic Guyver but while she's got great gravity based attacks Gigantic Guyver could nuke her with it's mega-smasher. Dreadnought as said before, is basically a Stable version without the added hight of the Gignatic Exceed in terms of power level. So basically the fan-fiction stay's in line powerlevel wise with the offical story.

It would be hard for you guys to guess that. Kron pre - rewrite was ruthless. Basically he was the polar opposite of Jason. There wasn't much story behind him other than he was made after Alkanpehl and Zeugma. But you'd no clue what it was he did before then, the only thing shown was he's basically a great leader, and a fighter willing to reshape Chronos as he sees fit. He's completely no loyalty or love for Zeugma and basically completely loyal to Alknaphel. That and he hates Agito as it's Agito who has stood up to him the most. There wasn't much character behind that. hewas a character being driven by the needs of the story more than anything else. He's a strong characater, but basically he was Alkanpehl mark 3, the character made to lead Chronos while Alkanphel slept. There wasn't much thought put behind who this guy was, why is he the way he is? The only good hints didn't happen until Allen's fiction where he was given some proper story. Time War has built on this, Kron is a warrior, born in a savage time of kill or be killed. He was selected by the "Gods" to be their second in command. Given control of a City. He's lived and ruled a civilisation far ahead of it's time. He's not a cruel leader, but resents the powers the Gods use to control him (shown by the fact when his brother became the Guyver Zoalord he didn't hold it against him that Reeve was forced to kill him, it was the Gods fault!). The next set of re-writes will build on this. As I said before Revenge will pretty much stay has it was wrote before. It will end with the revelation Kron is to be awoke. All Things Change will be the Kron story for the first chapter, it will start of with him given the rule of yet another civilisation at war with the Gods based around the same time as Rescue and will the story from the Chronos view point and bsically picks up the story the next day after Revenge.

In the end, that's something for me I couldn't care about. What other people write is their own business. But we're talking two totally different times here which is why I'm re-writing the story to fix it up at the moment. 1998 to 2007 you might as well call the Dark Ages for Guyver fans. We only really has books 1 to 7 translated. We could only see fancy pics of the new stuff and basically guess what was happening or being said. The fan-fiction of that time is basically the result of that. So no wonder people would look at what we guessed. Then basically say "Well at least their stuff is in English, lets use that!".... If anything this site going quite after that and me basically getting fed up with the story and the site going into a go slow was dam good for Guyver in general (though it was a painful time for this site). The guys at Japan Ledgent (or The Guyver.net at the time) got it together and got basically what is the real Guyver story out there. Anyone who wants to read the proper Guyver story can go there and read it, and read the offical data files and know just how things are meant to runa nd run properly ion the Guyver universe. Simply put if it wasn't for their translated work I wouldn't be back writing a Guyver story again. Guyver II F being another reason, I'd lost intrest in Guyver so much I didn't know she existed for a long while. one bored day in work I stumbled onto Guyver on Wikipedia and reading the "Guyvers" section thought to muyself.... "Who the hell is Guyver II F?" that got me back into reading the offical story. I've it fully downloaded on my PC. The result of reading it, I deffo wouldn't be back writing the Warrior Guyver fan-fiction as it lost touch with the offical Guyver story pretty much from the moment Time War started. After spending a month or so reading my old stories and reading the officlal one, lets just say... it took some effort and raw love of the story to think to myself it was fixable if things where wrote in a certain way... The DBZ style for one pretty much was something I wanted to shoot right away. Stroy is what's important, characters have to be interesting, even pass "throw away" characters like Lostude shouldn't be just brought into the story for 1 second to be bascially killed by Warrior Alknaphel soon as he appears.... Yuo guys know the rest, the re-writes have started since and 7 Days is finally finished! (Thank god for that). Simply put at this moment in time the fic is being writed to do it properly and show you guys what it should have being like from the get go if we actually knew then what we do now. In short the next year or so should be intersting, so bare with us. It won't be quick, but for you long term fans it should be worth it.

See this is what the fan-fiction pre-write didn't mention enough. the important thing about Cori is she's the top person on "fringe scince" about the Guyver unit and the relics. She actually found one while all others joked about Cori and Marcus Edwards. Simply put if you apply what happened in Dark Hero correctly and bring that story forward fact is she's very important. The Grakken kidnap her for a reason, it is because she had info to the possible where abouts of the Battle Unit. Looking forward it's a gamble but one ACTF would be willing to take giving her a unit so she can find more others. ACTF have a goal, Cori is marely part of the goal and while the Battle Unit is important it's not their whole goal. -

Not much of a spoiler = so she can find more Units. that a little chaos and events going in her direction. -
Andre Harmon suffers from what all men dread... he's married with kids! Allen is still around stalking though suffers from half of what Andre does... he's just married. Though I havn't chatted with him in a month ish so you never know he could be a dad by this stage... Mike is finishing Uni. Hense busy making sure he gets whatever you call a Degree in the states. It's unlikely Andre in the near future will continue his story. Maybe someday when his kids are less demanding (like that ever happens!) he'll get free time again to write. But we're talking a long time off here. Between James and myself once the re-writes are done and the site major update has begun then we'll continue on his story (and do a re-write of his older stuff, but for me that's mainly to fix small parts up not do total re-writes on the likes of Time War. Mainly the aim for me would be to remove the "script" look of his early stories and make sure events tie in with the re-write (though as seen with Time War the re-write is also designed to explain events in Matt's and Andre's stories). The new format of the site will be based on the story not the person writing it, so the Nova Guyver fiction can be continued on by us and we can show what has being planned for that story. Allen's group of stories will continue by him. but at the moment if anything my decsion to go back and re-write stories in a major way has slowed down his progress. So at the moment after Time War at the same time I'm re-writing Union I might also be getting the plan and story started for Story 8 so Allen can continue his fic. That or he could always go back to do some GWOTG re-writes of his own... you never know with Allen. Mike plans on coming back and writing more Chronicles and the Guyver XT story. just he's busy for the next year'ish.

time for an update on Part 4. It's actually going slowly as I'm totally re-writing the whole beginning and most if not all of happens inside Area 51. The old pre-re-write lacks a valid reason to send the USA's only Guyver assets to Area 51. They're bacically sent their for a holiday... Now as showen in the priview they have a very valid reason. Even getting close to the frontdoor will have a battle to do so. Martin will be even more of a bastard than he was before too. How the Grakken got to Earth and how Galen survived will also answered. There is a lot needed to do before Jason goes back in time so it's delaying progress. But the end result should be worth it once it's complete.

Kron may hate the Gen, but Kron is an agent of Chronos now. Ulimately he now hates whats Alknaphel hates = the Uranus. Kron wouldn't have any love lost on the Gen, they turned his brother into the Guyver Zoalord. He knows who killed said brother too. Part of your next question will be answered in All Things change which starts with a more heavy focus on the modren Gen along with Assassin Guyver (though for it's mostly about correcting terminology and what G'Kor said to Isis).

Little bit of a spoiler here, but the story of Cori is going to change a lot in the re-write. The Battle Unit will have a much longer story as simply a dormant Unit. Cori won't have some sort of predestained "you got it in the WG2 Universe, so why not" arguement going for her this time. It will be something else but bare in mind the dormant Battle Unit will be sitting in ACTF HQ a lot longer. There's a logical reason to this. All Things Change as a strange reason for a lot of battles, now there's a very simple reason. And part of that is above there the dormant Battle Unit is the most advanced non-Warrior Prototype Unit. The last Unit made by Solom before the Warrior Unit - P5 itself, who do you think will want it? -
Matt's already done it... I don't have the link off hand, but it's done. Look for GuyverC on Deviant art.

Ummm normally I'd say "no Comment"... But lets just say, you'd be wrong with your guesses. Time War to 7 Days has a flow for Seraph. It's not guessable yet but fact of the matter is there is a flow. Enforcer Prime was the first Enforcer Kavzar. Was he the first successful Kavzar though? Here's a question you should consider though what is his relationship (hell all Kavzar in fact) with Seraph?

Who said those prototypes where still alive? Simple fact of the matter is the offical story goes from Zoanoids ----> Alknaphel. Ask Takaya where the rest of them are. ->Note Survival in the world of the Uranus was not a garrentee. The Uranus showed Alknaphel what they did to other species. So the chance of any prototype being left alive in there world isn't certain. So Balcus simply is lucky to be alive, included in that would be : that is about as offical as you get to an Alkanphel prototype, a living forest collective simular to the relationships between humans and zoalords. That prmitive life from aka Waferdanos would be even older in fan-fiction terms than Fulton Balcus. As for the rest, use your imagination. I'm not going to spell everything out for you, and as Zoanight said it leaves penty of room.
