Haha, that's an interesting spin on it. I hadn't considered the possibility that Archanfel was just in sulk. My theories are based around how the story can be wrapped up as soon as possible without leaving any loose ends. Things like Apollon gathering all of the crystals, Shizu's death and Gyuot obtaining a G-Unit all seem like inevitable events at this point. But I'd love to know what relevance the Ark will have in the end game. If you look at it from a Biblical angle and consider Archanfel to be Noah and the Advents to be God, then I expect there will be some kind of purge performed on earth, with those taken to the Ark being the only survivors.

Thanks, I must have missed that. Like I said, everything is speculative, so there will be reveals along the way that will change my view.

Is there a new chapter this month? The only chapters I've seen since Vol 32 were 9 pages in Feb and 13 pages in April (All Agito Vs Rogues). I can't see anything relating to Valkyria in those chapters. I know there was nothing last month. Seems we are getting them every 2 months lately! Anyway, my points above were all speculative, all will be revealed when Takaya gets around to it. Probably another 10-20 years to go!

Quite the opposite I feel. The last thing the Advents want is the G-Units being used by another of their human creations. It was the fear of a Zoalord wielding the power of a Guyver that lead to their decision of complete planetary destruction. If anything, the Advents are afraid, so unless their technology has progressed hugely since the time of their departure, their attack would likely involve aiming a big gun at earth and pulling the trigger from a safe distance. I would like to think the main plot elements of the story will continue like this: 1) Agito defeats Jabir & Krumeggnic 2) Apollon collects the Zoacrystals before travelling to an unknown destination. 3) Gyuot uses the opportunity to follow Apollon as he believes this destination is the where the remover is held. 4) The remover is being guarded by Galenos. A fight between Apollon and Galenos ensues. Galenos is ultimately defeated and his crystal taken, but the remover is missing "Gyuot!!" 5) Gyuot returns to Valkyria advising he has a plan that will help her achieve revenge for the loss of her brother. An elaborate plan is set out, but in a twist, the Zeus Thunderbolts appear on the scene instead of Sho. 6) Sho is on the search for Apollon again, who has visited Shin. He asks for his Zoacrystal, but Shin refuses until he reveals his identity. Refusing, Apollon battles Shin in his Zoaform. 7) Shins defeat by Apollon is witnessed by Sho, Aptom and Balcus. Balcus holds Shin on his deathbed. Shin begs Baclus to keep Alkaphel safe from Apollon as he is their saviour. (Teary brotherly moment) 8) Back to Gyuot and Co, Valkyria asks Agito where Sho is. Agito isn't interested and explains his target is "that man". Agito tries to attack Gyuot, but Valkyria intercepts. In the confusion, Gyuot pulls out the remover and shoots Agito. 9) Agito's Guyver returns to its unit form. Agito reaches for it, but Gyuot attacks him. Shizu sacrifices herself to protect Agito and his killed by Gyuots blow. A teary death scene ensues and Gyuot escapes with the Remover and the G-Unit. 10) Back to Apollon and Balcus demands answers from Shins killer. Apollon creates a portal and asks Balcus to follow him. Sho and Aptom jump in behind. The portal takes them all the Silha. 11) Apollon takes the trio to Alkanphel and the Segawa twins. Sho and Balcus are in shock, but a typical reunion is had. Balcus asks Alkenphel what the meaning of this all is at which point Apollon finally removes his helmet revealing his true identity, Imakarum. 12) Imakarum explains what happened and that Alkaphel gave him his power in order to collect the zoacrystals in order to power the ultimate weapon of the Ark. Since they left Alkanphel has known that the day would come for the Advents to return and finish what they started. 13) Alkanphel thanks Balcus for his service and asks for his zoacrystal, Balcus happily agrees and thanks Alkanphel for the oppurtunity to serve. He briefly transforms into his Zoaform, before Alkaphel removes the crystal and Balcus dies. 14) Sho, Aptom and the Segawas are told they can return home. Imakruam and Alkaphel now have all the zoacrystals and need to take them to the Ark to activate the weapon. 15) Sho, Aptom and the Segawas return to earth only to find chaos and destruction. Valkyria communicates with Sho via the control metal. She explains Agito, Natzuki and the others are safe, but that Gyuot has stolen and activated the Guyver Unit!! 16) Gyuot heard about the Arks weapon from the Rogue Zoalord and wants it for himself. He is looking for Apollon and the crystals. Agito apologies for being careless to Sho and begs him to get revenge for Shizu. 17) Sho and Valkyria decide to team up to defeat Gyuot, but that she still wishes to settle the score aftewards. They go in search of Gyuot who has arrived at the Ark. 18) Alkanphel is still weak, so Imakarum battles Gyuot on the Ark (Reminiscent of the battle at the Relic). Imakarum appear to have the upperhand, but is tragically incapacitated. 19) At this point Sho and Valkyria arrive on the scene. Sho wishes to end this once and for all and both him and Valkryia battle Gyuot (Guyver Battle Royale). 20) As the crisis point approaches, Alkaphel reveals that there is a planet sized asteroid on a collision course with earth. This is the final attack from the Advents he had been expecting. 21) He transforms for the last time using the power of the 12 crystals to charge the Ark. The weapon is 2 fold, an immense laser is blasted at the asteroid and a force field is projected up around the entire earth to protect it from harm. 22) As the asteroid hits, the entire Ark is engulfed in a huge explosion and destroyed along with Alkaphel, Gyout, Imakarum, Sho and Valkryia. 33) As the smoke and dust settles a very weak force field dissipates in space. inside the force field, 2 control metals are shown, although it's not clear who has protected them (Alk/Imakuram) and also, who's Control Metals they are. 34) Fast foward in time and Mizuki has her hands on a Cacoon listen for signs of life. Inside it is revealed Sho is alive and reformed inside. The other reminisce on the battle and about finding the control metal wondering whether the others were destroyed and whether that was really the last of Gyout. 35) We then see a shadow of a Guyver watching the group from a distance, and a voice saying, "I guess some scores are best left unsettled". The shadow is revealed to be GIIF THE END

Wow, all these posts and only 1 mention of Valkyria. I can't imagine Takaya introducing another Guyver without her playing a major role in the end game. At the moment her plan seems to be revenge on Sho for killing her step-brother Lisker, but expect it will develop further than that as the story progresses. Back to Alkanphel, if you recall his history, I don't think you could ever say he was truly "evil". He considers himself the father of humanity, who were created as weapons with him as their leader. I believe his goal is to seek the advents to find answers and take revenge (presumably if he doesn't like what he hears). I'm on the 'Apollon is Imakuram' camp, but either way, it's clear he is an ally/attendant of Alkanphel and the collection of the Zoacrystals must be connected to his goal. The relevance of the Ark does need some explanation though. Does Alkanphel plan to man this himself with the power of the crystals in order to find the Advents? Regarding the Segawa twins relationship with Alkaphel. I think Mizuki looked at him with the thought that he was just like them. An innocent person captured and held hostage on the island. They feel they need to protect one another and have no idea of his identity. In fact if Sho appeared and tried to attack him, I expect Mizuki would get it the way and tell Sho to stop. With the 2 Rouges on the way out, and an alliance forming between Alk/Apollon, Balcus/Shin, Sho/Aptom it only leaves Valkyria, Gyuot and Agito and the Zeus Thunderbolt as threats. As was mentioned before, I think the only big events that could end this are: 1) Gyuot obtaining the G-Unit. Either from Valkyria or Agito and going on a rampage. 2) The Advents returning to finish what they started (destruction of earth) and the remaining Zoalords/Guyvers working together to stop them.

It's sad, but you are probably right. Lets not forget a Zoalord as obscure as Purgstahl got a figure, so perhaps not all hope is lost. Damn, if after a Figma Guyver III they would make any of the below 3 I would be ecstatic!!

My fan favorites after G IIF have always been Aptom Ver.5 Omega Blast and Apollon! Also that Alkaphel is probably my biggest wish list figure of all time!! If they do any Zoalords though, they need to scale with the Figmas. Keeping them BFC size would be perfect.

Pre-orders don't close until 6th July so I have a bit of time to pull the trigger on that one. I actually prefer the purple one, just shame it's gonna be more expensive.

I'm glad to see that some of you guys got your figure safe and sound. I did place a pre-order originally, paid upfront, but then after I had dropped them a few e-mails inquiring as to the what materials they used, when it would be released, futures plans, etc. and I received no responses I got a bit concerned and ended up requesting a full refund through paypal. I've been stung in the past with new online stores and since they seem to offer 0 communication with their customers I decided to pass. The figures looks pretty solid. I've got no where to put it though and still have my fingers crossed for more figmas.

So did anyone else take the plunge on this? I just dropped the best part of £200 for it including shipping. Today is supposedly the final day for pre-orders!! It looks amazing and I would love to create a city diorama to make it look like XD! Just a shame it isn't red!

It's been a while since I re-read the earlier chapters, but my last feelings towards Archanphel were of pity as it was the cliched Frankenstein story whereby the Advents created a monster, but then abandoned/try to destroy it. The fact that Archy saved the earth kinda suggests that he is a being of good nature, but his hatred towards those who created him sent him on a revenge trip. I think this was why he continued to create the 11 zoalords and build an army. From the reaction between Arch and Apollyon, I think it's safe to say that he knows his identity and they share some trust/common goal. Whilst he may not approve of what he's doing, (removing the council of 12) it seems to me that Archy has acknowledged that this is necessary for the next phase of Arch/Apollyon's plan. Personally I still think it's highly likely Apollyon is Murakami. It would certainly make sense in this context. As far as the next phase of the plan, I assume this requires the power of the zoacrystals, which is why Apollyon is collecting them. Whether it is to restore Arch's power/create new zoalords/create a new weapon/power the ark/simply destroy them I can't tell yet. He has 6 of 11 so far (if you include Guyot/Imakarums) and it's suspected that those still alive and loyal to archy are being spared, (Barcus and Shin). The 2 rogues will likely have theirs taken following the battle with Agito, leaving Galenos as the only real question mark. I'm expecting a big reveal chapter on Silha with the Sagwa's reuniting with the Guyver team and Apollyon and Archenphel explaining their plan. It will involve the guyver unit/the crystals/the ark and the Uranus and both the operation and threat will be BIG!! This is probably all still 5 years away though! lol

I still have faith we'll see an ending, but what that entails is entirely subjective at this point as Takaya keeps moving the goal posts. Jabir, Krumeggnic and Guyot are arguably the last 3 "Villains" left. The former currently have their hands full with Agito which I don't think will end well for them (Similarly to the Waferdanos/Yentsui battle). It'll then be interesting to see how Guyot fairs without their aid as I don't believe the alliance with Valkyria will last much longer and she may even be the one to finish him off once she gets what she wants. Shin, (likely Barcus) and team "Guyver I" are united now against the threat of Apollyon, meanwhile Alkanphel, Mizuki and Tetsuo all appear to be getting along, and once the identity of Apollyon is revealed we may see a complete Zoalord/Guyver alliance formed (especially if Apollyon is who some of us suspect him to be) The only real unknowns for me at this point are when the Ark and the Uranus will have their big moments. If the remaining Zoalords and Guyvers combine forces with the Ark as their weapon against the returning Uranus intent on destroying earth then I would be very happy with that kind of ending. Takaya is only 55 and he's been writing Guyver since he was 25. He could have another 30 years left in him, (look at writers like Shigeru Mizuki and Stan Lee, both in their 90's) I'd like to hope Kadokawa would intervene in 10 years if the pace is still slow and the story is miles from ending, but hopefully Takaya has the rest of Guyver already planned and the editors are onboard.

For £160 consider it bought and paid for!! This looks amazing!! I hope they continue the line..........Looks like it scales with Medicom RAH, Hot Toys. With shipping it'll probably be around £200, but for a 40cm, electronic, articulated figure that is very reasonable!!

Added Evil Aptom and my new dark flame effects

So as you guys all know. Max Factory exhibited many amazing BFC prototypes which never saw a release!! The first of which (and my personal favourite) was this Alkanphel, which they showed us back in 2006 (Yes, you heard right 10 YEARS AGO!!): My question is...........what do you guys think ever happened to them? Kept by the sculptor as a souvenir? Given/sold to a Fan? Packaged up in a box collecting dust in some warehouse? or worst of all.....thrown away!! I would love to track it down someday if it's still in existence!! It would be the ultimate find!! Imagine stumbling across it in some Mandarake store in years to come!! haha!! but seriously, it would just be really great to know where in ended up. Anyway, I would love to know your thoughts............what do you think ever happened to those one of a kind 10 year old relics??

This was a bit of a rush job, but i'm really keen to test the limits of the old BFC's articulation and fianlly play with the alternate hands, etc. (just terrifed about snapping them!) The new effects from Tamashii and the Energy blasts from my DBZ figs really bring it to life. I'm looking forward to being able to give my display more dynamism! just wish I has more space and better display shelves! I hear you on that! I too need more space. Although my figures aren't as sweetly posed as yours are. I only have Guyvers 1-3. Need to get the rest of the BFC. One day! Those 5 are certainly my 5 favorite figures. Love Guyver III, but he is out of scale in comparison now. The Aptom Ver.4, Murikami and Gyuot BFC's are all pretty old in terms of the series chronology now, but thinking I will add Evil Aptom to the display as he was amazing! My Hyperzoanoid Team 5 and Neo-zxtole figures are also great, but I just don't have space for them! Still got my fingers crossed we will see a Figma Guyver IIF one day!! I didn't know whether to start a new thread or bump an old one, but since this is a display of the Figma with the old BFC figures I thought it may as well go here. I love the scale between them! I really hope GSC are brave enough to give us a new GIII Figma in this scale! Apologies now for the big pictures without spoiler tags!! Will add if needed.

Sorry for the slightly off-topic, but do we have any indication of when Vol.32 is set to drop? Usually it's around September time, but we're November now. How many pages are we up to with the latest chapter? Appreciate each tank can be anywhere between 150-180 pages so not a great help...........
