You're just going to make the problem worse. The best call is to disassociate Japan Legend from any translations, even keeping posts of raw chapters to a minimum, (thus keeping yourself safe). You can't stop people from wanting access to the manga for free, and any attempt to do so will either aggravate them, inviting more trolling, or simply lead to the creation of new scanlation groups picking up the series and duplicating efforts (as has now already happened which I have no doubt added fuel to the fire). http://chillock-amt.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/guyver-chapter-184-english-translation.html As you can see from this groups comments, they've clearly made no attempt to engage with JL and actually understand what it is you were trying to do, they've just made accusations based on unfounded rumours that are circulating around the community stating "Guyver Advocacy are charging for their translations". I'd personally be interested in knowing exactly how many volumes of guyver have been purchased through the pledge system since it began, and whether this justifies the continuation of the project. It was a great gesture, but without official instruction from Kadokawa it's not right for us to take this decision upon ourselves. For all we know, they may advocate the free international distribution to raise awareness in the hope a bigger publisher invests. Restricting access like this may actually be to the determent of the series. Bottom line, be open and give it away for free, the wider community doesn't care...........be secretive and charge for the translations (even if it is being spent on the manga), people are going to raise an eyebrow and think you doing something shady. It's a sad world we live in where everyone expects people to exploit each other for a quick buck!

Yeah, Manda ship internationally, I use them quite a lot and they offer different shipping methods as well. A couple publishers have released Guyver in English over the years, but only up until volume 10.....After that the license seems to have been dropped, and so far no one else has picked it up.....still hoping for someone to eventually!! good luck grabbing some Bio Fighters

I actually started collecting them 10 years ago now......so The Guyvers hadn't been out long.....unfortunately since not many were made, and it was so long ago, the prices have really skyrocketed. The prices on eBay are crazy, but you'll find most of them available there.... So my explosive effects finally shipped! Should arrive in 10 days: Looking forward to finally setting up a cool Guyver battle display......not sure which figures to use yet..........I want to use the new Figma, so for scale purposes my options are HZ Team 5, Gigantic Dark and Imakarum or maybe Evil Aptom........

Great to see everyone has received their Guyver I!! Mine just arrived today along with the Saint Seiya Stage with the energy blasts that guyverfan rigged with LED's in his other post!! Pleased I didn't go for the di stage......doesn't look anything tbh!.............Will be great to display with the tamshii stuff though! Especially those explosions out in Feb!! Fingers crossed for more Guyver stuff at Wonder Festival in 39 DAYS!!!!

acouple of led's hooked up to a battery and switch does the trick.be warned, after consuming some alcohol, do not stare at the photos for longer than 10mins. you may suffer from welders' flash for afew days, hehehehe. Very nicely done!! I just got mine along with those energy blasts from tamashi. Will have to look for some LED's to replicate that!! Edit: And now I have mine!! Figma Guyver I is finally out!! Just paid my invoice at amiami!! Can't wait for it to arrive!! Hopefully we get a new announcement soon!

So I read in the Wiki that as of 2009, Guyver had reached 5 million copies printed. Quote below: "The comics, as of December 2009, currently consist of 26 published Tankoubons (comprising the Tokukan Shoten version, Kadokawa shoten version and refurbished version), with a breakthrough of 5 million copies of the Tankoubon printed" Could I ask what the source was for this information and whether there has been any more recent sales figures? I mean, if it hit 5 mill 5 years ago, then I can't imagine that would have increased dramatically, and when you compare it to series of comparable age, pace and genre such as Bastard!! or Berserk which have sold 30 and 31 mill respectively, it's clear that Guyver isn't getting the much needed attention it deserves...... On the other hand, 5 million copies is still a very respectable number, and probably the reason we are still getting merchandise such as Figma Guyver I next month!!

you know, i was thinking that you can probably use blu-tak on the bottom of those feet effects to stick them on to figures to create a kick/punch 'pow' effect.Yeah, I actually managed to regain some sanity and cancelled some of these since I had too many other figures on order.So now I just have the 2 impacts and 2 sets of Act.4 stages. Going to hold fire on the Saint Seiya stage Act for now, but may order next month and combine with Guyver I if AmiAmi still have them in-stock. I'm trying to reduce collecting One Piece Portrait of Pirates figures so I can start buying articulated Figma & Tamashii figures. Can't afford to get everything!

Yeah, I was always under the impression that Guyver started in 1985. Quoted from Wiki "The manga was originally serialized in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly ShÅnen Captain, the first appearance being in the February 18 magazine beginning in 1985." This is quite interesting considering we have the Figma coming out at the end of this year and next year (2015) marks the 30th Anniversary of Guyver!! I've recently been getting into the Godzilla franchise and similarly Toho put it on hiatus for 10 years between the Showa and Heisei series, where it made a big resurgence as part of it's 30th year! I'm just really hopeful that the same will happen for Guyver!! Someone, somewhere must want to mark the occasion with some sort of celebrartery release?!?!? Also, I couldn't get over the similarity between Draglord and Biollante!! That Exceed Vs Kabral battle was a classic Kaiju fight, and probably my favourite part of the manga! Would love to see it animated and even more get some scaled figures of Exceed & Draglord!!

So if you were following the Figma thread you'll know that I've just ordered a load of Tamashii effects pieces and stands for my diorama project......... So today my first effects piece came, sadly no stages yet so I can't do anything too dynamic, but I have to say I am very pleased by the detail. I hope you like the pictures...they were very rushed (as usual).....looking forward to doing more when the rest of the effects and ultimately Figma Guyver 1 finally comes (since he's more posable)

Congrats on the pickup........from what I can see only Derzerb and Gaster are from the BFW collection...........that Elegen and to a lesser extent Thancrus look like pre-painted model kits.......am I correct......? I never knew which ones to get originally, but I was fortunate enough to pickup all 4 BFW's for a good price in the end!! Looking forward to being able to take some new photos once I've had a clear out!!

What about "G-Units"? I wouldn't mind being refereed to as a G-Unit, but I guess in the context of the series it doesn't make sense. Also, wasn't that the name of 50 Cents group? lol

So I think I went a bit mad with the Tamashi Stages.......I saw Amimi put them back up for order, so I snagged another 3! I got thinking when I was looking at my BFC collection, how much better my display would be if they were on clear stands instead of the original black ones with those horrible fixed metal poles!! Problem is, I don't know how sturdy these stages are....... Anyway, I've got 5 coming now, along with an extra Saint Seiya stage so I will have 6 of those energy blasts and 12 feet effects, plus a load of extra bases and arms to go with my impacts. I'm hoping I can put all of my BFC's & BFW's on those stands with the exception of ZX-Tole, NEO ZX-Tole, Derzerb & Gyuot!! I'd love to make a dynamic mid-air battle display with GD & Imakarum, with Energy Blasts and Impact Effects!! Probably still my favorite fight in the manga!! Stay Tuned!!

Yeah this is what I feel. I know you guys were trying to do a service to Takaya-san, by only making the scanlated chapters available to those who pay for the original work, but you won't know the number of casual fans I have spoken to on other forums who thought the series was on hiatus/cancelled after chapter 189 since they can't find it on the regular online manga sites (http://www.mangapanda.com/520/guyver.html) I have explained to them that they need to come here and order the volumes........but being casual readers, most just drop the title.......it's a real shame..... As they probably won't go on to support the series in future by buying merchandise, or spreading the word.........We live in such a throw away society these days that unless things are easily accessible, people don't have time for it.... Sales of the new Guyver I Figma will be a big indication as to the continued popularity of the series. Nowaday, the big money isn't made from the source, but from the franchise built around it. Take Toriko for example. TOEI animation ran the series for 2 years, with 100 episodes, but in the end it got cancelled because the merch wasn't selling!! The manga sales were still good, but people weren't buying the figures, the straps, the collectors cards, the video games, the branded clothing! I just only wish the Guyver manga was made more accessible again like it was in the past!!

Wow!! Awesome!! Those blasts would make for an awesome megasmasher pose!! Just ordered myself one from amiami for 1,490 yen!! They look awesome with Vegeta! So now I've got coming: 2 x Stage ACT.4 1 x Beige Impact 1 x Grey Impact 1 x Saint Seiya Special Display Stage These should make for a sweet Guyver display when I get the figma!! Now to decide whether I want to get the flame effects......I guess thats more than enough for now though!!

Awesome!! Amiami got the ACT.4 stage in stock and just put up an extra 7. I just placed an order for 1 and the beige IMPACT EFFECT. So now I have both Gray and Beige IMPACTS and an ACT.4 stage set coming down for around £30. I was tempted to buy an extra ACT.4 set, but since they have 6 more in stock I'll wait until the end of the month as I already have another pre-order that I can combine it with. It's only the arms I need really..........not sure what I'd do with 6 stands!! haha Now I'm wondering whether the BURNING FLAME effects are worth getting............I think I'd rather hold out for the Explosion set! They look amazing!!

Yeah, judging by the general scale of the Figma line, I think it's unlikely we'll see it expand to anything more than the guyver units, and maybe aptom (although apollyon would be amazing!) On a separate note, I was lucky enough to snag the one set of the Stage ACT.4's from HobbySearch for just 1,105 yen when they re-opened reservations today! Looks like it was the only one! Also, after finding the below picture I decided to go for the beige IMPACT EFFECT as well, since they look amazing together!! I will most certainly display my Guyver I like this!! Only thing is, I'm not sure how they are using 4 arms on one base.....unless this isn't the ACT.4, since I think it only has 3 holes?? Anyone able to confirm which base this is, and whether arm extensions are being used? Thanks in advance!

Personally I'd just really pleased to see any more characters from this line!! Looking at how Berserk has 5 figures now (Guts, Griffiths, Guts Berserker Ver, Guts Band of Hawk Ver, Casca) as does SNK (Armin, Eren, Mikasa, Levi & Levi Cleaning Ver.) I'm really hopeful we'll see more Guyvers!! The only problem, is that the former series both have recent anime adaptions...........but so far there has been no news of a Guyver anime reboot!! Although I really hope there is!! If you base it solely on recent manga characters though, I think our best candidate for the next Figma is either Guyver IIF or Aptom Omega Blast!! How I would die for a figure of him: Sadly though, we're probably more likely just to get another Guyver III

I think the concrete effect is more fitting with Guyver than the earth..........but I may get the beige one from amiami another time......
