<div>I'm impressed, the project has come along nicely and the sprites are not as shabby as one would expect from some artists. </div> <div> </div> <div> <div></div> </div> <p> </p>

alright, gave it some thought, and it makes no sense. If half was sealed with the demon and himself, and the other half in a scroll, then where exactly has the Kyubi's chakra been drawn from this whole time? I back tracked and went to the very well put and reliable media. And this is how I understand it. Alright, naruto's dad, used the demon seal to help him split the chakra, he pulled out the Yin, and via the Demon seal, he had it placed in the scroll that was entrusted to the Frog and the rest of it's caretakers. It was never in Minato to begin with, he just used his own body and the Demon Seal as a conversion conduit. The rest of the chakra, the Yang chakra was sealed along with the Kyubi into Naruto.

Are THere Any Gundam Model Series That Are Prepainted?
V Guyver replied to Mirabilis's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Gundam repaints can sometimes be pretty awesome. What color sets do you use, have you ever tried spray paints and a paint coating for plastics? -
When Naruto was fighting Pain, I recall the 4th gave naruto the rest of the chakra, since Naruto already was given scroll and seal of the other half. It was a while back now. So I don't remember all the details. Also, nice that they killed off one of naruto's friends. It was starting to look like all the young Konoha teenagers were immune to death.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too, wasn't too sure how durable they are. It knew that there were some limitations, but from what I've seen, they are flexible enough, and the range of motion can be made up for. For example, I already knew the head, like most action figures is incapable of looking in a range of directions. So I planned to keep the basic animations with a standard head position, and later animations, which required limbs or the head to exceed their built range, I could just edit the positions in photoshop. The joints can be edited too to make them less obvious, and lighting like you pointed out could be a problem, but that's what trifolds are for, light control. Whenever Robot Chicken converted a character for their animation, they had to essentially destroy the figures joints and build new ones to make them usable. I wont be doing that to a figure, god forgive a $300 guyver figure, but, for other figures it's possible to look into. Another option I can consider is to dismantle a figure. Once dismantled, i can take shots of each part, convert them, and than recombine them on photoshop in any manner I want. If you want an example of something taken apart and than recombined for animation, I suggest you look at Gundam battle Assault II. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oob5mz8DUB0

That's a given, but after watching Rueben Kee's (god bless his soul though he left us too early) work on Dragon Claw, I realized that it was more simple in converting it than I had originally thought. Don't get me wrong, still hard work, and lots of editing and frames, but it has the potential to cut out a good portion of the labor in the process of creating the sprites. After he had created his 3D model and animated it, he lowered the colors for a 2D sprite, and the animation was very smooth. This is what I'm going to try out, to see if it's feasible with an action figure. Thinking back, I wonder why i didn't think of this earlier. I actually considered what you mentioned, me up against a wall doing poses, and later drawing over them to get some animations down as a Guyver set up. Than I realized, I'm a lousy artist, hardly practice, and i'm much better at graphics editing on a computer.

plausible, idea. strange that they can all survive together too. But it doesn't explain all the different some of the species from different time periods though. The biggest piece of evidence is that stone structure, isolated island or not, it's stone, and stone made stones works wouldn't last more than 5000-7000 years, though the worlds oldest known structure is 21,000 years old, it was natural altered stone landscape and doesn't count. of course, i'm thinking reality wise, the plot regarding the island would of course be rooted in finction

For a number of years now, I've seen various attempts by different people to try and create a Guyver game, and much of it with mixed results. The firs problem is designing the game, but the second problem, which is probably the hardest thing and easiest to give up on is creating the material. In just about every game we've had people create art, sprites, and CGI from scratch. All intent on making a good game. What people under estimate is the difficulty in drawing or constructing a Guyver, let alone all the complex Zoanoids. So it dawned on me... we've all been going at it the hard way. A few of us have the actual poseable figures from the Guyver. Considering the simple editing I've shown you can do to erase some of the obvious plastic sections, and if you lower the colors, you can effectively turn the toys/models into actual sprites. So here is what I suggest as an experiment, take a Guyver figure, set some correct lighting on a pure white none reflective background, and bit by bit, attempt to create an animated gif of the character as if it were walking. From there we can actually test out weather or not this is a good quality, faster method of creating a basis for guyver games. I intend to make my own experiment on this, but with a different figure since fully poseable Guyvers would break my bank. But I am considering trying out a Spartan figure due to all the detail and price. There are hurdles to all this though, not all figures can do this, some have to be in an angle, there is a need for patience and skill, and a Need to study how to do the animation by using a chart or a sprite sheet from a game to help figure out the correct frames and motions, but it's very doable. Also, unlike the majority of action figures, the Guyver's aren't as obvious in having joins as say... WWE wreslting toys. Another set of toys that are also pretty good base models for what I have in mind is Gundam toys. A basis for animation is not too hard to follow. If you want an example of games with stop motion animation, look up Clay Fighter for the genesis or N64. Oh and this also brings into mind my earnest desire to see Guyver on Robot Chicken... preferably with the Robot Chicken Nerd in the Armor.

I can't lend any credence to the theory that G3 and G0 are the same unit. All three Units are identical in appearance barring the OVA's recoloring.
-
It just dawned on me, how much of the GA's work was on the torrent that was set up a while ago. Is that the possible source of the archive they used?
-
Nice post lost unit, and thanks again for the work you guys are doing at GA group. Also, it's neat to see all those animals, well up until the sabertooths came up, and became extinct again. I wonder who has been actively collecting all these different species for Alky, it's the only explanation I can think they would remain there after the advents leff along with the temple. Also, dig the new Zoanoid, likely a hyper. I wonder if he has any answers for the group there.

Well you wont really know how you feel until you get there, and you are definitely going to go through stages in your acceptance of the environment maybe even get homesick soon, though the reverse is also true. Korea is a pretty nice country, I used to watch a lot of Korean TV and there is a Korean Neighborhood in the township next to me. Whatever you do, you know the board is going to wish you well, and I hope that in some small corner of this universe it matters, maybe in making a positive difference in your life. You'll be alright so long as you make good friends over there, stick to the right crowd and neighborhood respect law and culture, and find the lack of differences that you can appreciate, as well as the differences you'll like to adopt. I'm a bit envious of you heading there, partly because I don't have the money, guts, and support to do it, but even if things get a little sower, it's probably going to be an adventure you wont regret. Weather it be on the forums, facebook, or email. We'll be keeping a touch on you brother.

The IVA was an outright merciless defeat of the guyver, and that episode, they really went all out with the gore, horror elements, and animation. It actually disturbed me a little, since Sho was screaming in pain, and at one point after having been stabbed with the tail, he was whimpering! How many heroes in a series do you see whimpering in battle as they face death? That's what makes Sho such a good human character, he's only an average person forced into heroics. The TV series was such a let down in comparison, animation, gore, and acting wise. Sure it's cleaner than the OVA, but doesn't hold a stick to the originals presentation. It got willy when Enzyme was bitch slapping Guyver.... really? Slapping?!

His Muppet makes him look like a toad Zoanoid... no offense to him though.

liking this, really liking this.

Yeah, was thinking the same. Once that office got bombed, Sho and Tetsuro didn't want to risk any more lives. Something that would weigh on their conscience like that was not welcome. In today's age, they could of tried the internet, but we all know it would of been futile in some way. Exposing the public while Cronos controlled governments AND media outlets is just a futile endeavor, it also serves as a warning to all of us in real life in the dangers of manipulated media. ahem... jj abrams? you just made me throw up. how could you think that jumped up imbecile could treat the guyver franchise with ANY respect after what he did to the star trek franchise? http://lunduke.com/?p=517 Don't get me wrong, if that was a standalone action flick and not meant to do justice to a franchise spanning 30 years, intended to address societal issues in a futuristic setting.... it would be just fine. I am sure many people like it. but when you consider that he was supposed to be doing justice to a much loved franchise, and he completely tore it to pieces, I don't even want to imagine what horrors that guy would do to guyver. I'm sorry, that is off topic. I just got very upset at the suggestion of THAT GUY touching something that is so precious to me. Okay, how about Micheal bay, maybe Uwe Bull... just let me pull of up a list of names, I'm sure I can twist that knife a little deeper friend.

Metal Hero was a 80's trend back when Guyver was being made. I believe the Guyver manga prototype/predecessor was not biological at all, it was a more cybernetic-armor manga. Metal Sheriff was one of those live action toketsu series, and it was important here to the USA as VR Troopers. I wonder if he mentioned Skull Man.

This has become rather messy.

I think the pressure cannon works in the same principal as this Snapping Shrimp, but it's done differently, but I can guess that the energy created is done in a far greater scale.

I'm going to go over on how i feel about this. Q:Should we limit the accessibility to the fandom work Guyver Advocacy has done for Guyver fans? A: No, I feel that that would destroy the purpose for which this site was built. Q:Should we add more copyright information to the pages, like watermarks, URL's, and disclaimer of distribution? A:Absolutely, this should of been more thorough from the start since someone took the work and is now possibly generating a bit of revenue off this. This is the nature of the internet, and in turn you should expect another couple of sites to follow up in making duplicate postings. Closing down the site or other drastic measures would have little effect since there is now a copy online of all this work thanks to spectrum. It should of been expected. Even if spectrum was taken down too, someone out there would have it, and even search engine spiders have a copy image already. Q:What should we do now? A: Carry on, this is normal. Doesn't make it right, but it just means we proceed and enjoy what we enjoy, it's not like we actually own the franchise, it's just a matter of being more careful on how we release updates. Granted they will likely take the updates, but now we know what to expect and can have a properly prepared page setup for dealing with it. Q:What will happen to Guyver as a result? A: As frustrating as this is, it actually works out for us in a way. If Guyver Advocacy's work spreads to the most popular sites, this in turn spreads Guyver's awesome manga plot and increases a fan base for a franchise to a new generation or a group who thought it wasn't continued. This may of been a shameless theft of fanwork, but it's also a chance for us to spread guyver, and with the URL's and digital imprints, we have a chance to attract more fans here. Q:What about Spectrum? A:Honestly, I don't know? If you want, contact them and tell them we are unhappy, or ask them how they came about this sites work? I think an apology would be in order. i would like it if they would ask permission as well, if they do ask it wouldn't be too bad to let them host it, though i'd like to know if they make money off the work, in which case we shouldn't let them. Another problem is if they don't care and do what they want, but it's a matter of how communication would go. You can probably look up spectrum's webmaster if you want to really get down to the source of the site.

He only destroyed the test types and much of the data. But as demonstrated at the mount minakami, Barcus still had access to the data and ended up creating Enzyme II based off that data.

Here are my experiences as follows< I spent the majority of my life moving. Since I was little I would take turns sleeping in my parents homes, First major move was when I was four, mom snuck away with me to the US without my fathers approval. Since living in the US, I have moved over 30 times. Lived in 2 different states, lived in a few cities traveled to 5 states, and been in 3 countries. I will be frank, i hate moving, and I try to avoid it now. however, since i severed ties from certainly family members, my life as been less hassle and more stable, and involved less moving. i also learned that moving from one region to another, let alone a country is hard. Depending on what kind of person you are, this could be a great experience or a horrid one. For most people, the grass is greener on the other side. When I finally returned to my native Portugal after 11 years, it no longer suited me, by than I was no longer a literate citizen of the country and wouldn't be able to find much work other than a hired hand on a farm. My home had become the USA, specifically in Newark, NJ, and it's Portuguese community. I grew up in it and to me it had and is still the place I call home deep down, along with my birthplace to a degree. Now, this brings me to another point, a few years ago I moved back in to help my mom and family out, this meant leaving Newark and going to live in Elizabeth. The area was once nice but had degenerated, I longed for Newark again. I was not happy, the people, the crime, most neighbors, and the land lords were all horrible. I didn't want to move there, because it had become crime ridden once the immigrants left. I also briefly lived in Harrison, NJ. It's just a river over Newark nice place, and had 3 very peaceful if somewhat confined life there, but I am considering it a potential place to fall back to someday. Where I currently live, it's still a Portuguese community, but it's a dying community, the culture has mostly faded. The population went from a 80% Portuguese to a 25% occupied demographic Since that has happened, we've had other immigrants, sure we have Brazilians and other groups here, some who speak Portuguese but it's not the same, it's not a united community, and as a result, crime started to spill over, rent has gone up ridiculously due to development in the areas near by thanks to migrant New York workers. In effect, the place i grew up is now disappearing, so in the near future i to might leave. So here is what I figured I must weigh in a process of thought, and you as well Ryuki. *Cost of Move- Is it feasible? *job security- will you retain or find work? *social ties- What are you leaving behind in friends and family, or perhaps, enemies? *environment-is the place safe, productive, clean? *options- Considered other places more practical *Regrets- Will you have regrets in any of the above? *is the Grass greener- Reasons why the place you seek would be better? * Approval- Will you rethink your decision in the last minute changing your mind while you pay, work, and setup the new local, it's certainly a loss even before you finish the move. * Emotional Baggage- Are you emotionally equipped for the move? What ever you choose, do your best to not have any regrets. Personally, I think it's great you are willing to make such a big decision, just don't do it because you didn't consider your options and just did it because your weren't satisfied with what you had. Had friends who moved out and enjoyed their locals, and others who jumped and left, and are now sitting about doing nothing and heading nowhere, and even unprepared. I've had it from both ends, and when it comes down to it, it's "what you want" vs "what you need" vs "what you already have".

Hmm, slight facial movements, eye squinting slightly and the jaw move (or maybe just the tongue XD) Actually, that entire shot should of been redone, but I was thinking of reanimating it like the thread implied. In redoing that entire shot, having Sho in 3rd person stand in the middle above the waist only visible, and have their silhouettes/backs of the zoanoids rotate around him, all in varying sizes, Sho doesn't need to be animated, but his head can be turned if you do want to animate it some. I think this the best compromise between animation investment for you, and getting a decent shot.

I wouldn't do much with it, kinda, try to keep it secret and not rely on it on life, though I would put on a cloak to hide my appearance while transformed and go around town doing stunts. But heaven forbid I'd find myself using it for anything other than that. I don't want to know how dangerous me going around using it for combat would be, though self defense would be okay I suppose, but i'd be afraid of the authorities wanting it. What worries me most about having a guyver is, what if I lose my inhibitions? Whenever I've had an attempted mugging, especially that last one with the idiots pulling a gun on me and my friends, I don't know if I would be the type to hold back, for a while thought about tearing them apart with my fists, even kill them in my anger. Changes are with the Guyver I'd only cripple them, but in real life the Guyver can easily kill them by accident.
