I'm not sure about the smaller arcs ideas. I'd like to see the reasonig behid it and natural stopping points. I'll go through a summary of how i think the story flows. I'll put it in a spoiler tag to save space

come on man, there's no need to be so adversarial, we're all friends here the reason I asked what I did was because i thought you'd already agreed to leave it for a week. what you said in the post I was replying to seemed to contradict that and I was confused. I wasn't trying to string you up or anything, neither are anyone else here. I don't know how much reading you do of the discussions that go one here ,but we are not like other forums where every other person is out to flame you or try to embarrass you. everyone who has spoken in this thread has done so with the best possible intentions.

when you say you're 'about to' offer it, does that mean you are ignoring what I said earlier about giving the community a week to give their views? also, I don't think it's the right thing to ignore what people have said here about volume 1 being one arc. I think it would be most appropriate to, in a weeks time, offer up to bakabt what the community has asked for. if they say no, then we can reconfigure. I DEFINITELY second this. It was pretty well self contained... then they found out that Cronos was a Multinational Corporation/Secret Society/Cult. That's Why I refer to it as the Cronos Japan Arc. I meant to comment on this. I would like to suggest the following to reflect this view. volume 01 - 01 (Guyver Discovery Arc) volume 02 - 08 (Guyver Reborn Arc) volume 09 - 17 (Guyver Gigantic Arc) volume 18 - 25 (Guyver Gigantic eXceeD Arc)

oh hang about, recapping, it looks like my more recent thinking is the same as daveblackeye's suggestion. how could i be so absent minded, sorry about that dave! so looking at that, I think it seems a good arrangement but a bit of uncertainty about the first volume being separate or mushed in with mount minakami story. saying it in that manner, it seems clear what my view on it is. so I'm agreeing with bbdude and larz. even thought the first volume would make a relatively small torrent file, this should be largely irrelevant to the actual structure of the story.

I think the first volume as a complete arc is too small judging by what Del was saying. it's really a intro, but not a compete arc. but what you said about mount minakami i agree with. so we could be looking at roughly 8 volume per arc or thereabouts. so it could go something like volume 01 - 08 (cronos the secret organisation) volume 09 - 17 (cronos the world government) volume 18 - 25 (the exceedingly long night) volume 26 -

I liked the look of it, but the advert they keep showing on tv really put me off. it makes it look like any other generic action movie. dark night-time city and all of that. I got really bored with the idea of watching it and can't help but think i would be wasting my money.

essentially aptom has much of this ability. i mean fusing and separating. what the unus do differently is that they have a way to use this fusion to amplify their abilities. since aptom, upon fusing with another version of himself, can change his form to whatever combination he wishes, his version of quadriga wouldn't necessarily look any different from his base form. what we would be looking at really, is an ability to use fusion to amplify power output. how this was achieved with unus, we don't know. and since aptom can already amplify the abilities of absorbed zoanoids, then perhaps the method in which unus does it, is already present in aptom's repertoire?

Hey all, I've updated this thread to include all non guyver advocacy volumes in english. the only missing chapter is 44. I hope to fix that asap.

maybe we should revive the dragonball thread so daveblackeye thinks 4 arcs, Del thinks 3 arcs... there are lots more members who need to give their input I think this should take more than a week to get people's views. I'll post a link on twitter for people to get the message.

can you send them my way please, I've been trying to get at least some version of these in english on our server. I see, I was thinking of how dragonball is split up, it has about 10 arc's or something like that. what you mentioned seems more like 'acts' to me, what is your view on that?

hi Del, you forgot to tell people the reasons for talking about this and why we need to identify 'Arcs'. do you want to explain it or should I?

I really miss finding the individual guyver sites out there on the net. we set up a page in the wiki for linking to other sites but it doesn't seem to be very engaging and we haven't had any update to it in such a long time. so perhaps a forum thread would work better? we can post links to sites and talk about them. I'm sorry to hear abut your loss , I'm also glad she's not suffering any more 13 isn't too bad. I think they live to about 15 or 16 at maximum. my chloe here is about 10.

saw this tonight. went with my mum. I would say, if I went expecting an alien movie, then i would have been disappointed of course. but it wasn't called alien so I went with the expectation that i might see some reference to the aliens but that is it. just wow. this film was so good. i mean it had all the qualities i found good about the original alien movie. except refined. it was like concentrated alien, 10 times the goodness. of course time will tell if it remains so fine in my mind. repeated viewings will be the key to whether it is as good as better or worse than alien. currently, I wouldn't dare say it's a better film than alien, since I first saw alien over ten years ago and it has had time to settle. it wasn't my favourite film back when i first saw it, it has only become my favourite film after so many years of ageing and maturing. but anyhow, I am very glad that I gave Ridley Scott some money for this.

because zoanoids aren't made for the sole reason of fighting aptom. to put it another way, why would you force every soldier in a countries entire army, to carry a tank buster, when the enemy only has one tank and that tank will only be on one battle-field?

why would they though? aptom was barcas' work. the anti aptom virus was his area of expertise. unus were developed by either guyot, kurumagnik or jaervil, who I don't think are on good terms with barcas or have access to his work. it's not impossible, but I don't think it is likely.

that makes me feel safer I used to have one of those. it is very impressive thing to have. although after a while, I didn't have any use for it. I can't take it outside. I'd have a police squad after me. and there is not much wilderness round here where i could go and use it.

there is some footage of him in action I found myself laughing as I watched this. that means I like it
