Thanks BBdude, as you might have caught on by now, backgrounds are not my strong point I wish i could just not have a background. what you say could well be correct. I was having trouble with the placement of that to make it seem right. looking at it now after a few days of rest, I can see that yes it should be lower because of the angle we are viewing aptom from. I'll consider correcting it. btw, as always, if anyone wants to work with this image to make a derivative work, let me know and i will send the psd file.

actually the original reason I started doing this is his eyes. looking at the title page for chapter 177, I studied his eyes and i noticed that apart from being the shiny gem like object i had previously thought, I could actually see pupils inside.

I know what would be interesting. if you could identify parts on chaos aptom or the group of zoanoids he absorbed, that look the same as the other zoanoids you've presented from the american base.

I think you scared people off Del. it's pretty showing that after your last post hardly anyone replied in this thread. if you care for this community, it is my opinion that an apology would go a long way, but that is your own decision. with regards to the torrent, I think your intentions are good and we do seem to have gotten a clear indication here that most would want 4 arcs for what we have so far. that is how I perceive it. I give permission to distribute our work as 4 arcs on bakabt.

I think these are really interesting observations but I also want to point some things out that I think are important. when aptom is imprisoned by khan, he is evil aptom, he has the high frequency lance. it does not look like the one in the picture you showed. in that picture, it appears to be a high frequency sword. I guess it can work in the same way, but the images of the two are very different. the beam weapon is also very similar. on first glance I was like " wow, that is a pretty good point!" but then I looked at it some more. the surface of the inside of the 'shell' of the weapon looks different. the one aptom uses has a bony ridged structure, the one on the large zoanoid looks to be more ribbed. I think it is interesting to look at this though. it lends to the idea that zoanoids can use similar 'plug-in's. I always remember what our translations told us about vamore. that his lasers are not part of his original genetic code, they are put in as extras. it's almost like there is a specific genetic code for these lasers that are spliced into his DNA.

same here. though, we have not many bike riders, but we have lots of bike paths. however, the bike paths are stupid and usually make no sense. if I were to follow the bike paths, I would never get to where I need to go.

yeah, I will get to work on translating chapter 44 soon. I had been concentrating on finishing my aptom picture, really needed to get it done. now I have that done and out of the way, I am able to do some other things like translating guyver and editing more naruto kai. and in time I may continue by working on translating other chapters that we currently have Viz versions of.

those are some weird bikes. oh, i see you are very enthusiastic about your bike and so are your friends. is this a big thing in Russia? is it like a cultural phenomenon?

hey guys, I spent a fair bit of time on this project. I guess it took longer than I originally envisioned but I wanted to make something nice and i didn't want to be spending several hours each day on it. it's been 2 or 3 hours every couple of days, giving me chance to do other things. please view the largest one to see the detail. I received a lovely parcel today I had asked my friend in Tokyo (lycanthropebata) about packet curry, the type to put into a big pot when making curry. he offered to send some to me. wow, very nice! very kind. so I accepted graciously. it turned out that he decided to send a bit more than curry. I got a big parcel with 2 fans of 'one piece', various tourist niceties of tokyo, guidebook for sunshine plaza, hokkaido geo park, a manga volume (morning manga, like shonen ace), misou packet, ultraman cup noodle, o-cha (japanese tea), very nice noodles, ramen stock, condiments, some burned dvd of zetman and other tv, curry paste ( the one i wanted) and a whole host of ready made packet curry (very nice!) and.... best of all... volume 27 and 28 of guyver!! there aren't any words to even describe how generous that is, and I can't beging to express how special this parcel was. it was great. a wonderful treat. of course I have sent a parcel to him. unfortunately I am not earning a lot of money so I had to ration what i send and i will send 3 parcels instead of one big one. I bought mulled wine, welsh ale, welsh fudge, stick of rock, welsh recipe book, tea towel with recipe's and traditional foods on it, book of tales from mabinogion, welsh phrase book, rhubarb and custard sweets, a little fluffy lamb toy, some freshly picked lavendar, a postcard, a tin of laverbread... i think i got more stuff but that's what i can remember for now. It's tough to think about what is unique to the uk and unique to wales, since the english empire brought a lot of stuff from overseas that has become every-day.

Oh I see! it is omegablast! I was looking at the side 'fins' or 'ears' or whatever they are... and they looked like full blast mode. now i see why you were unhappy with it. it is still really cool and looks completely like aptom. the new version also looks really cool

I would say that if it were not for the potential of putting guyver on a very popular torrenting site for manga, I would not even think guyver ever needed 'arcs'. it's not really been so formulaic as something like naruto or dragonball. but to put it on bakabt, it would help to allay issues of other people making torrents without talking to us or getting our blessing. it would also bring more people to guyver and push the goals of guyver advocacy. naming them is not necessary, they could just be numbered. from looking at the breakdown i put in my earlier post, it is my opinion that there are currently three large story arcs, the first two having a prologue of sorts. the first volume is like a prologue for arc 1. x-day and neozxtole fight is like a prologue for arc 2. arc 3, looking at it, seems like it has no real prologue, unless we could consider the journey to the chamber where aptom is kept as a prologue of sorts? but it doesn't wind down as much as with the earlier 'prologues'. I guess referring to them as 'prologue' is wrong, but I hope you understand what I'm getting at.

it's ok dave well we don't know that yet it sounds like a cool name, maybe if it turns out to be the advents, it could work?

then I apologise in their stead. please remember that a lot of people don't always have enough time to read every post and also people can be forgetful. I read every single post, but I don't always remember clearly, as demonstrated by my forgetting Daveblackeye's original suggestion.

I'm not sure about the smaller arcs ideas. I'd like to see the reasonig behid it and natural stopping points. I'll go through a summary of how i think the story flows. I'll put it in a spoiler tag to save space

come on man, there's no need to be so adversarial, we're all friends here the reason I asked what I did was because i thought you'd already agreed to leave it for a week. what you said in the post I was replying to seemed to contradict that and I was confused. I wasn't trying to string you up or anything, neither are anyone else here. I don't know how much reading you do of the discussions that go one here ,but we are not like other forums where every other person is out to flame you or try to embarrass you. everyone who has spoken in this thread has done so with the best possible intentions.

when you say you're 'about to' offer it, does that mean you are ignoring what I said earlier about giving the community a week to give their views? also, I don't think it's the right thing to ignore what people have said here about volume 1 being one arc. I think it would be most appropriate to, in a weeks time, offer up to bakabt what the community has asked for. if they say no, then we can reconfigure. I DEFINITELY second this. It was pretty well self contained... then they found out that Cronos was a Multinational Corporation/Secret Society/Cult. That's Why I refer to it as the Cronos Japan Arc. I meant to comment on this. I would like to suggest the following to reflect this view. volume 01 - 01 (Guyver Discovery Arc) volume 02 - 08 (Guyver Reborn Arc) volume 09 - 17 (Guyver Gigantic Arc) volume 18 - 25 (Guyver Gigantic eXceeD Arc)

oh hang about, recapping, it looks like my more recent thinking is the same as daveblackeye's suggestion. how could i be so absent minded, sorry about that dave! so looking at that, I think it seems a good arrangement but a bit of uncertainty about the first volume being separate or mushed in with mount minakami story. saying it in that manner, it seems clear what my view on it is. so I'm agreeing with bbdude and larz. even thought the first volume would make a relatively small torrent file, this should be largely irrelevant to the actual structure of the story.
