Hi, sorry for the delayed response. it's very difficult to decide how to distribute these. I have trouble keeping track of too many things and each time guyver is released, I need to check several things and i often forget things anyway. uploading to mediafire as well would just be a huge headache. so no, they won't be posted to mediafire by me. if somebody decides to post to mediafire afterwards, you can thank them for going to the effort. I can't stop anyone from doing so and if they do, I would prefer them to post the link here on this forum so we can try and keep a lively community. I'm not closed to suggestions of course. can you describe what your difficulty is, and is there some way I can help you to overcome it and read guyver easier?

cheers durendal, this is a great perspective. I am unsure about my skill set, I think these skills are not so common around this area but perhaps i am mistaken. I'll try and focus my initial section on achievements and best work rather than a general overview. I can always just add a link to my actual résumé. I could include my japanese skill. I don't have very good speaking and listening skill, but I am getting better at translating, using various tools. bbdude, I see what you are saying. I think your screen is possibly about the same size as mine. I imagined that most people would have large monitors these days and i tailored it for a monitor about twice the size of mine. the gradient you see is part of a large-ish background image. if you use your browser to zoom out, you will see what i did. perhaps i can adjust that to make the gradient start higher. edit: I've just worked with colour balancing to give it a more gentle, subdued feeling. hopefully that is more pleasant to look at.

I did write my words to be as positive as I could make them. seems I did not go far enough! oh the main about me section was copied from my résumé. it does need rewording. thanks very much. do you think the larger text and the bright colours is a bad thing? perhaps it gives the wrong impression? I've often used muted colours for my work in the past, but I am thinking bold and bright colours can promote a positive feeling. maybe it is too much and too garish? I made the text large, based on my witnessing of my friend who always zooms in on a page on his monitor because the text is too small. there is also the fact that there is not a great deal of content in the site. I can only say so much and i need to make sure the space is used well. perhaps i can use the space more wisely by attempting to increase my text content (trying to avoid hyperbole) and adding various icons and perhaps some 'toys'.

there are a number of user groups. when registering a new user will be in the validating group. once the account is validated (usually by email) the user will be in the 'member' user group. after 5 posts the member will be in the member+ user group. the reason for this is that some users register just to put links in their 'about me' description and abuse our site for their own advertising. I have restricted the 'member' user group to prevent editing of the profile and restrictions in the signature just to prevent this from happening and also to encourage new members to join in. it is only 5 posts and that is not difficult if you have a healthy interest in the site subject. I have also added a member++ user group to give a clear indication of which members have stuck around and talked with us a fair bit. there are a few advantages to this, nothing major just a little bit of extra file space etc to be a little more generous. of course there is also VIP membership. VIP members are members who have really contributed to help out with the site running. many VIP members have contributed financially. some other VIP members have contributed a great deal of their time and support to the site staff. The main differences for a VIP member are very relaxed usergroup. no restrictions on language, no restrictions on post editing time, ability to delete own posts, very large PM box, ability to upload large files and more. oh yes, also a shiny badge by their user details.

I'm thinking we could change the ranks. at the moment, since most members are allowed custom ranks with no real restriction, the ranks are almost meaningless. I have set member-double-plus at 100 posts. I don't know, I was just vaguely remembering what we wrote in the VDF. can't remember the words and can't remember the translation. I'm not for a moment imagining the armour inside the human cells. the armour comes through from the void space. that much is clear. what i am thinking is that the presence of special DNA code or perhaps another nucleic acid capable of producing RNA or whatever.. this would be advantageous to switch the function of existing cells when the guyver is called. (maybe TNA :- trioxyribonucleic acid) I don't know about you, but I doubt the increase of the number of cells within a normal humans muscle, would increase strength to the degree that we see in guyver. I don't know what my knowledge of biology is like compared to yours, but I don't even think a gorilla has that level of strength. I'm pretty sure the guyver must have some exotic type of muscle cells and fibres, perhaps made of exotic compounds. in this respect I guess what i could be suggesting is that the host is now a similar state to that of a zoalord, but without the ability to power up on their own, because they don't have the energy source until it breaches the dimensional wall.

ahhh, right! so here we have a separation of terms. the booster organism is a parasite, but the GUYVER is not a parasite, it is a symbiont. absolutely. oh yeah, I'm almost certain the remover doesn't result in a dead host. it's never been explicitly stated and I believe there has been an assumption by some people that the host dies due to the guyver zero flashback. but it seems clear to me that it was archanfel that killed that human and not the removal of the unit. after all, the function of the remover is simply to delete host data. the guyver unit would simply revert to it's dormant state, leaving the host as it was originally found. or not. agito certainly looked human... but let's not assume. it's possible that the host remains in the same state. minus the armour. regressed digestive organs, improved guyver systems. really strong probably. but not likely to live after the residual energy runs out. I dunno. I'm rambling. I hear you about the syntax and the balloons. yeah you are right, many things can be said in reverse order. but I can't currently think of anything that is said in 'reverse' that couldn't be said 'forwards'. it's a literary style that exists in japanese and english. I don't mind, I do these investigations of my own volition and it is a satisfying challenge. in your rearranged version ,you have used 'super lifeform' twice. aside from that, I do not personally approve of mixing up the dialogue. I believe that the dialogue from one section should stay in that section. if this re-translated dialogue were to be put into the guyver advocacy pages, the right phrase needs to go in the right balloon in order to fit with the pictures and have the intended pacing. but of course you never said that was your intention so no worries yes guyver does perform as a symbiosis, but it is clear that it is a parasite by nature. was just thinking about the behaviour of it in book 2.

oops, sorry to double post. been scrutinising the kanji æ®– shoku. youngguyver, you'll like this if you're reading. the kanji shoku is often used in biological terms. so the term bio-boost is actually very suitable for the kanji we are shown in the title of guyver. so what we have here is a kanji that my main dictionary describes as 'augment' but in actuality, probably means more like organic propagation or breeding, or organically increasing. I believe this does link strongly to the actions of a parasite, so this sentence above could be describing the actions of a parasite latching onto a host and propagating throughout. so in fact pervading would be a good word to use.

cheers. but i am still not happy with 'pervading'. you see, the kanji that is used... there is absolutely no english equivalent for it. I'm not just talking about an awkward word. there is no term for it. at least not one that i know or have been able to find. one of the kanji is used with a different one but pronounced the same to mean 'predation' or 'eating prey'. but that kanji is switched with the kanji for augmentation. the one used in 'kyoushokusoukou', 'booster armour' . so the most straight forward way I could say it is that it means "catching prey in order to augment/boost it". it's like predation, but instead of eating, it is augmenting. aggressively catching a creature in order to increase it's abilities. I can't think of any term for that. pervading works in a poetic way... but it's not technically correct. it's frustrating edit: it could be a portmanteaux though... if that is the case.. we could creatively come up with something perhaps.
