  1. well It's normally released on the 25th so we got another day yet.
  2. wow, yeah that discussion was a long time ago! I only remember the main concept that I was playing with and forgotten that you were also discussing a similar idea.
  3. I just can't believe there was no replies
  4. it's interesting thoughts... but i personally don't believe it is efficient enough. I first consider the lesions on shou's back. the unit leaves shou in an altered state. he appears fully and properly human and his genetics are probably the same as ever, but there is a presence of the guyver in and on him. it makes perfect sense to me that the guyver can leave remnants within each cell that can take over the process of the cell nucleus at any point. after all, it seems to me that bio-boosting would take too long otherwise. just like the first time. I like your comparison between guyver and snails. but i think it's more like the skin analogy. because shou must have an effective sense of touch. think of it like a hippo. their skin is almost impossible to pierce. I think the armour comes in like it does because it is such a strong and complex structure that it is the most efficient method. the tendrils that seem to come out of the armour, could well be a simple way to bind the armour and easily fuse with the host body. here's something interesting... have we ever seen shou injured in a section between armour? it must be flexible so it must not be as hard...
  5. This posting is rich and full of juicy meaty goodness. I really enjoyed your first part and was really disappointed you haven't written more yet XD yeah you were absolutely right about the translation of Cronos. actually, the note from them is signed 'kronos' but I noticed that too late. it'd take an age to re-do all the instances of Cronos throughout it. Cronos is technically right anyhow and close enough to 'chronos' that many people are familiar with. I'm really looking forward to future posts in this thread
  6. yeah, gobusters is still really good. can't figure out the ratings... could be because the time slot is wrong for such a quality show. it would probably do really well at tea-time. kamen rider wizard also looks really good. saw the preview, the setting and characters looks really attractive. looks to have good potential top be much better than fourze. I'd watch Garo, and Dekaranger when I get a job and get some good friends who'll watch it with me.
  7. book 8 is. I had previously done the 1st chapter of book 9 myself, and Guyver Alpha has done 2 after that. I've formatted and sent him the next one and he is currently working on it.
  8. as the title says, what web communities or forms of social media do you spend most time on, or do you spend your online time browsing for information or perhaps you spend most time watching vids or something else? and is there any particular reason you prefer it? I spend some times on twitter, often talking with a friend, a japanese guyver fan. I try to watch some youtube vid of japan if I can. I follow facebook and talk to some guys from here that are my facebook friend. I visit other online community to talk about this and that. I'd probably spend more time here but it seems to be vacant a lot these days.
  9. good choice. well actually it's not much of a choice. power rangers was good when I was a teenager and had no access to super sentai. now I see it for what it is. it's an adaptation for an american child audience. there's nothing inherently wrong with childrens entertainment. (really looking forward to seeing Brave) I just don't like the separation of themes in most american tv. if it has colours in it, it has to be for children. if it is for adults it has to be as close to film noir as they can get it. that said, I haven't watched dekaranger. I like to watch what is popular or current. otherwise I feel isolated.
  10. really sorry to hear that news. were you close?
  11. Hey Guys, Perhaps I should have been more vocal about it but you need to know that GuyverAlpha has done a great deal of work in re-typesetting our volume 8 and part of volume 9. why not take a look at what he has done for us and give some thanks for the work he has done I personally really appreciate all he has done. it is a huge job typesetting. I think many people who read manga don't realise how much work it actually takes blanking out and placing the text just right. obviously any of us who works on this, we do it because we love guyver, but I would like to say that props go a log way towards motivation and making it easier to get it done
  12. youngguyver, I love the sound of that book. I'm not parent so I don't need to think about it at length yet. I do find it very interesting though, the description of rewards as bribery and time-out as torture. no actually I can relate to that. I don't respond well to authority due to inconsistent parenting when i was younger. I saw that book, fifty shades darker, in asda. seems pretty popular.

that's beautiful dude is the original line-art also your work?
  14. odin sent this to me. wonder what you think of it?
  15. no, I'm pretty sure he hasn't posted anywhere else. the only other place he has written anything is in PM's. (for assistance with technical issues. )
  16. heh heh, that is pretty good did you get your photo with him?
  17. just a note here... 'nyan' is a product of the way some japanese girls act like cats. don't know if you've heard of 'nyancat'? yuinyan is a way of referring to her in a cute fashion, similar way could be yuitan, yuipon or yuichan etc. Aether, I share your view. no surprise there of course, but I do wonder on occasions if this is also rather tongue in cheek. I wonder if Harry Capstan has a strong spiritual identity but perhaps does not literally associate with yuinyan in this way. the messages listed with the images do seem to be too poignant to be conjured out of thin air as part of an elaborate ruse. then again, these messages could actually be paraphrased from some metaphysical or spiritual website. but of course it is my opinion. I think it is useful for people to postulate.
  18. heh heh, yeah I know. well it's not only that. the dialogue tobi uses is almost identical to what obito's inner monologue was like. I read it again last night and was thinking that it could have been suggested that it was the guy they were fighting. but it couldn't be. there doesn't seem to be any link between his attitude.

not sure, haven't seen his screenname for ages. he used guyver-raziel last time i saw him. he might have changed it and we just didn't realise.
  20. So perhaps we can get people's opinion on the thread. the winner is to receive a 'follower of Yuinyan' t-shirt in the colour of their choice.
  21. episode 14, http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=340599 chunin written exam!
  22. I don't think that's the point. though it is just my opinion... I feel there is something behind the focus on yui ichikawa that points to a deeper truth. the themes that are explored here point to the primal nature within each of us and whilst we may not all focus on this lovely young lady, we do each have some divinity within that could be connected with by engaging with the themes that are presented. I would love to learn Harry Capstan's take on this, but so far he has not engaged with us other than his presentation of his view of spirituality.
  23. I'm not sure exactly how to approach this.... but my opinion on the effects a full moon might have on people, is based on the gravity of the moon ad the effect it could have on the fluids within our body. similar to a high tide, the blood in our body could be drawn more towards our brain i that time and the air pressure could also potentially be increased by the tide squashing the air. there could be various things going on with the atmosphere as well. the collective centre of gravity for the earth/moon system would also be closer to us so that could affect us in some way. I don't personally think reflected light has anything to do with it as the clouds would have an effect. I don't think they do. unless increased visibility at night has some psychological effect. perhaps it could give us a kinship with nocturnal predators.
  24. interesting. the style reminds me of kamen rider kabuto. unexpected since i thought it would be more reminiscent of kiva. it's good that it looks to be of a more mature appeal.
  25. I don't really sketch much. I didn't envision more than this so i can't show you more i'm afraid! I don't like to spend a lot of time sketching as I rarely feel any real reward for it. that's why i keep it quick and simple. it's enough reward that you commented on it and that is the balance i like. I know what you mean about spending hours on something. I can get that way with some digital work. i hate it when that happens.
