Guyver May 2013
hmm, and I was thinking that this trick was merely a fascia. it seems like there may be some practical uses in battle? or is that what this is suggesting? can't wait to find out!

Religion = codified replacement for lost culture?
http://tremault.wordpress.com/2013/03/25/religion-codified-replacement-for-lost-culture/ These days we see a lot of conversions to new religions and we see a lot of people following particular religions, but is this a sincere decision or do these people seem to pick and choose the religion that seems to offer the ‘best bits’? There are many people who do discover a religion and it resonates with their soul, but how much of this is ‘finding the true god’ and how much of this is ‘finding the code that resonates with the self’? In many ways, the person + religion marriage, says more about that person than it says about the religion, wouldn’t you agree? surely a person who was calm, methodical, liked the idea of reincarnation, liked to sit in silence… may be drawn more to Buddhism than to other religions? does this mean Buddhism is correct? or does it mean the person is a better fit for Buddhism? In the modern world many people are finding themselves lost and direction-less. the communities of old have been disintegrated into this fast paced world where nobody knows their neighbour. I myself have lamented the fact that there is no community spirit around my neighbourhood. I only say hi to my neighbour in passing and I have few friends. I have found that in a church, there is..... (read more in spoiler tag)

random magazine cover with original art
I think so... I think it had media strikes on it. one of the clips was subject to a copyright claim. I haven't logged in to it because of that, I don't want to have it associated with my own personal channels, I've invested too much in them for them to be compromised. The username and password etc could be in the staffroom or somewhere else... maybe in the VIP section..

Guyver season 2 possibile at all????
I was just agreeing with vertexer. give him credit anyway, new face of ultra violence was ADV but they did put up a lot of the money to make it. what was the strap line in Japan? ah well I am sure the japanese marketing was done by WOWOW.

No, I didn't hit the limit (don't have a limit) , it's just that this kid of thing is not suitable for my channel.

Guyver season 2 possibile at all????
Hopefully we can make a difference there! well truth be told, we haven't had a lot of pre-orders yet, but if pre-orders increase, then we could make an impact on them. increased sales may yield more chance of them making a new series.

XMEN 4 days of future past
eugh... I hated the casting for those first 3 x-men films. first class was a great movie, I loved it so much, but this new one, using the cast from those movies... BOOOOO!!! HSSSS!! not sure if I'll follow this one. I paid to watch first class in the cinema but it's unlikely for this. not sure. if they have apocalypse and can do it right then maybe.

Guyver season 2 possibile at all????
agree here. let's look at the timescale. it may not seem like that long ago to some of us but it is actually 8 years. 1986 - OVA out of control 1989 - OVA 1 1992 - OVA 2 2005 - TV series so after out of control was 3 years then they did a reboot. then 3 years and did a continuation. then 13 years and did a reboot. now it has been 8 years. Something else I think we should consider. figures. does anyone remember how the Biofighter collection was announced and started being released around the same time as the TV series? I am sure it was a bit earlier before the TV series was announced. the question was asked and they said no, but that does not mean no. it means that they are not at liberty to announce a project right now. it is highly possible that something is in development but they are simply not ready to announce yet. There could merely be talks, or there could be no plans. but that doesn't mean that nothing will happen.

max factory pre painted kits
very nice work guys some great images right there! by the way, I want to mention something I used to have. I have no idea what happened to it, but I used to have a box that looks similar to those ones up there. in the box was a pre-painted enzyme model. I only know that a lot of the parts were missing, some of the claws and the eyes were not present. it's a shame, it was a really nice model, I think it was an original. I don't have the box anymore but I remember that picture of guyver 1 was on hte back and the front was a colour picture of enzyme. it looks like that one http://www.japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Bfc12.jpg I think. anyway... I am not sure if that helps in any way whatsoever

Oh, what's this? A Guyver/Twilight comparison?!
hey guys, I'm really sorry, there is no way i can read all the writing in this thread. it's too much for me but I did skip over it and saw that there was some doubt over Natsuki's beliefs. I need to point out that her belief is made apparent due to the fact she wears a crucifix. This is shown in book 11, chapter 66. I'm not sure if she wears it at any other point.

Guyver 2F custom
I am rubbish at models etc, but Da-amn, that is one heck of a collection! I'm keeping an eye on this thread, the model looks to have improved, the hips do look a lot better.

What does your full name mean?
I like the reference to old norse. I have been fascinated with norse mythology for a log time

What does your full name mean?
vguyver, what does resendo mean? I'm curious about that. I did forgot to mention that my first name could also mean passionate of cloud, but in these circumstance we get to choose which meaning to take for it.
-
What does your full name mean?
that is pretty awesome! I would love it! but I am also curious as to why it is ironic. I mean specifically. I am thinking now.. I am wondering if link is left handed with his sword, but I'm not sure.
-
What does your full name mean?
all names come from somewhere. through various modes of research we can discover the true meaning of our names. I've long known the meaning of my first name, xxx. it means xxx. I decided to check my other names today though. my second name xxx, is from xxx. my family name is Kendrick and comes from old welsh ap cynwrig. ap means 'child of' and cynwrig is a given name derived from celtic words meaning 'the likeness of a heroic chief' so it's all rather nice and I do so love my names. essentially my full names means 'xxx of the heroic chief' and it is all derived from my culture.. sort of. well gaelic is a branch off of celtic so they are very closely related and that's good enough for me! so why not share your discoveries about your name? I'd love to learn about it! edit: my original source had some details wrong.

Guyver Rebirth Project - A Guyver Fan game
love it!!! it's very cool and I feel very enthusiastic about starting the game. even the guyver standing on a blank screen gives me a feeling about how the final game could be. btw there is a msvcp71.dll warning at the start. doesn't stop it from running though. also, I don't know if this helps, but i think it would be better if the title screen doesn't show up until the song properly kicks in. a delay of maybe 2 seconds.

cheaper pre-order without book?
unfavourably? i'm not sure what you mean. is it perhaps a product of me being tired when I wrote it? how would you phrase it to make it sound better? I say disposed of, just to make it clear that the person would be relinquishing ownership of the book at the moment after the sale of the book.
-
cheaper pre-order without book?
yep. well if a person were donating their book, something would have to happen to it. I have emailed a friend and asked him if he is willing to receive the books and do what he wants with them. He may burn them, or put them in waste paper, or gift them to his friends or give them away as prizes to somebody, or even re-sell them as used goods. The idea would be that the person who chooses to go this route on this site, would be completely relinquishing ownership of the book. what happens to it after that.... could be anything.
-
cheaper pre-order without book?
doing some calculations now.... looks like we could do it for £6 perhaps.

cheaper pre-order without book?
proposition. if I can find a person in japan to work with, then instead of having the books shipped to me and then shipped to you, there could be a batch of books that are shipped to a location in japan to be disposed of. the costg of shipping would be completely partially removed and the cost would be greatly descreased. this ay be useful for people who do not want a copy of the book but wish to keep reading the monthly chapters. the moral and legal issue is dealt with, as teh physical copy of the book would absolutely be purchased. feed my back please. edit: clarified on shipping being removed... of course there would be a shipping cost to whoever accepts the books in japan.

Are you a loyal guyver fan or not?
mr mctaco, that is an interesting proposition. sort of 'going halves' on a book. I'm not sure where we would stand on that morally and legally, but it's worth thinking about. in another thread. not to mention that we can do nothing that would make the people who have already pre-ordered effectively miss-out. I won't allow those people to be hurt in any way. oh yes, I did want to mention in addition to what i wrote in my first post. What we have been doing previously is helping people perpetrate criminal acts. piracy is a crime whether people like it or not, whether people trivialise it or not. some people seem to think we are spoiling their fun by not publicly releasing a guyver translation, but no. we are simply attempting to help guyver fans while remaining *sort of* within the law. i.e. we are not publishing our translation. there was a thread where we talked with guyver four about this extensively. anyone who feels like we are hurting them should remember that we are not to be expected to help anyone break the law. we don't owe you anything. we do what we do, to help, not to hurt.

Are you a loyal guyver fan or not?
sorry to be so provocative, but this has been on my mind recently. with our recent efforts to ensure that yoshiki takaya gets his dues for his work, there have been a few responses. some people reacted very positively and strongly showing great support for this endeavour. some people were understandably upset due to their difficulties either financially or logistically. some people only care that they can't get free manga any more. The fact that there are any people that are in number 3 upsets me greatly. even people that we previously considered fellow guyver fans, may not actually be people we would want to call friend because they are selfish and merely want to rip-off the producer of guyver. now, I am not going to assume what is in anybody's head from their actions or their words. I will allow people to present themself how they wish and will merely react accordingly. but I am sure there are people who will have this attitude. I'd like to say that if any person who has attitude number 3, get the hell out of here. there is nothing for you here. but well, that is something that I would like to say, actually, this site is a welcoming place in general. for people in position number 2, we'd all love to help out and for people in position number 1, you are great and should be proud of the fact that you are a wonderful human being. ah well that is enough of my views on the matter, I want to hear what yo think. P.S. if anyone here is watching this and thinking that we are merely trying to make money, you guys should know that our margin is something like, less than £1 per book and that is in place as leeway in case of increased post costs etc. there is actually a possibility that I may make a significant financial loss if postage prices increase significantly. Also, current order volumes do not allow us to work with a books wholesaler so we cannot get bulk ordering discounts. This is the sad reality of things. people think we are trying to make money off of this. simply put, it's not financially viable for us to try and make money right now, it would make the books unaffordable for most guyver fans.

What real weaponry do think the Guyver armor could stand?
Chernaudi, there's a little link on the bottom left of your screen labelled 'G.M.' please click on it.

What real weaponry do think the Guyver armor could stand?
Since we've already cast reasonable doubt on it, you really do need to provide a credible source for your assertion.
