  1. it's because of the bad summer, the cheese flavoured potato crop is especially sensitive to the weather.
  2. Sakura. [emote=monkey]z026[/emote]
  3. two things. firstly, if they find a fossil with an imprint of soft tissues, they can confirm the structure of that soft tissue. secondly, if no soft tissue is present, they need to extrapolate using known factors. deininychus was raptor style dinosaur and as such was very similar to today's birds. there are no known birds who have anything like a forked tongue so the reasonable expectation is that deinonychus did not. it's not set in stone however... he he.
  4. latest chapter was so freaking awesome!!!
  5. does he have armour on his palms in the movies? I don't think a bullet would penetrate the tendrils, I would imagine the impact would be deadened and the bullet might be brought to a stop and just fall.. that's my own feelings.
  6. since the body is completely remodelled with the guyver equipped, It is not really a covering, rather than it is his new skin. the skin has softer more flexible parts and harder armour like parts. the armour probably has some give, but the agility could be severely impaired if he was totally armour. it also seemingly must act as some kind of a matrix to protect the clothes. this was suggested by what happened to valkyrias clothes. it demonstrates that the armour does something to preserve the clothes and because hers was malfunctioning, the clothes were not preserved and ended up disintegrating. The guyver is a different shape and size from Shou so those tendril sections are really important to not only preserve his clothes but to also preserve his original body tissues. in fact, I think it's more accurate to say that those tendril looking parts are the actual guyver and the armour is the shell. essentially, if the armour sections could be removed, the guyver would still be like that underneath. the appearance is quite interesting because when we saw that image of the bioboosted parrot cross with guinea pig, it didn't appear to be all tendrils. so why does this part appear this way all over shou. the control metal must tell it to remain that way, maybe because it is the most economic way to be while allowing safe equip and removal.
  7. I hope somebody else can help, I shouldn't really offer to help when I don't actually have the free time to spend on this kind of thing.
  8. It's not a simple thing to do. you have to balance colour and make sure it's masked properly. although somebody who does this kind of thing all the time it's a walk in the park. I've had a bit of practice so I think this is good enough for your needs? I can look at the other pic later
  9. yeah, I could probably do that easily. so could a lot of other members. post up the pictures and somebody will provide
  10. I believe we need to see more from valkyria than her simply deteriorating and being taken out. I think that this development of her background, warrants her being much more involved and some key event happening. something like shou gaining a new ally, somehow helping her to resolve the obvious issues with her CM. I think we could see some very powerful dialogue between aptom and her. He defected from cronos and is on shou's team now. although Val's motivation is clearly different... it's a tough one. Takaya sensei does not disappoint with his character development. I'm not sure I want to see another fight between guyvers though. not in such short time. I think it would make for a bit of repetitiveness. whatever the case, Val is no match for shou anyway. any fight would be fairly short. That's probably why she teamed up with guyot of course. and now we realise, guyot probably has a clear idea of her motivations. she was an inspector and he probably was aware of her family connections. I can imagine Val attacking shou and shou holding back to see if he can negotiate. and some heated dialogue between them. some flashbacks. perhaps shou can explain that lisker didn't lose the fight, that his CM malfunctioned. that shou got lucky.
  11. Do I have to pre-order, too? I don't think it's fair for me to talk about who pre-orders. generally, people need to pre-order if they want to read it. exceptions are only in cases such as those who actually work on the scanlation and those who have shown remarkable consistency in buying the manga every single time it is released. if you think something is amiss, or unfair, please talk to me via PM.
  12. these things sound like make-believe. is this real life? damn, who would have thought! is this just in your home town or is this something that has happened across Canada? I always thought of Canada as a progressive peaceful country.
  13. those who were waiting.... this chapter has been translated, so if you want to read it, now is the time to pre-order.
  14. dekaranger and kabuto... that's a fairly keen observation. I like that.
  15. both alphard_p and Lycanthropebata were at wonderfest. none of them found anything guyver related.
  16. what really made me want to watch super sentai in the beginning, was the same thing that keeps me reading naruto. the characters have heart and depth and there is a cool factor. to various things such as the gouraijers and abarekiller. then mixed in with that is the odd occasions where they tug on the old heart strings. I think this is the sort of things that keeps people interested in the sense of 'otaku' as well. this has been made very apparent in some shows like akibaranger and also densha otoko. I think it's this 'passion' that really makes a show. I think akibaranger highlights how this passion and imagination, is the driving force behind a successful show or at least a show an adult would want to watch. is this passion being lost? maybe this passion is being replaced by 'enthusiasm.' .. this type of enthusiasm that kindergarten teachers bring to the table. it's bouncy, it's 'fun' but is it genuine? does it really bring a feeling of hope and positivity?
  17. you should probably make a thread for it. I am sure some guys will find it interesting. good job on that, it's great to be involved in things. I recently stepped out on something I have been heavily involved with for months. I really need to focus on my own stuff now but the work I did will definitely get me recognition.
  18. I would not be satisfied with downgrading at all. I sold my iphone 4 voluntarily in order to switch to an android phone that is equal to or better. actually, the android operating system as standard is better than iOS so the galaxy S2 was better even if it was within the same band. well no way I would downgrade. I decided to get the S3. WOW. The Samsung Galaxy s3 is amazing. now, I realise that another member of this forum has just upgraded to an S4 so .. I'm not the most fancy pants guy here but anyhow, I am the person with the best phone out of everyone I know face to face. the screen is large and clear and the animations are beautifully smooth. in terms of performance, it is more impressive than my laptop. in terms of CPU I think it may even out perform my desktop pc. my desktop pc is a mental case when it comes to graphics though. The S3 is by far the most beautiful thing I own.
  19. well perhaps it is not declining as a whole, but what I mean is, the otaku culture and akihabara in general. it appears that with the demographic of tokusatsu being a lower age range, it appears that they are aiming the show to children who will be more likely to ask their parents for toys rather than go out and buy them themselves. this will represent a difference in style and approach with the merchandise and therefore the presentation of the show. we see an increase in more childish things like transforming 'familiars' and bright colourful weapons etc. instead of the old days when the design of these things would lend themselves to more prestigious products. remember when you could get the 'deluxe' henshin belts and they would be of the same build quality as high end products like mobile phones. this type of prestigious product would be found in a place like akihabara, but the more childish toys that may be available now would be found in general toy stores. this could i fact be seen as an increase in sales for tokusatsu related products but perhaps a reduction in revenue per sale. one could say that the popularity is increasing, but there is a decline in the type of sub culture surrounding it that we would have had 10 or 20 years ago.
  20. ok, I made a new thread on that subject. is-akibaranger-a-metaphor-for-real-life-decline-of-tokusatsu yes it is like a super sentai. 5 of them and different colours. but these are not a team, they are opposing each other, aren't they? it's sort of like kamen rider ryuki in that respect. using fruit to henshin, well that aint a bad theme, but what worried me was how much his sword resembles the fruit. I mean, before the fruit theme was mentioned, I looked at his sword and thought it looked a bit like a fruit segment. maybe a bit too bold. who knows.
  21. wow, I just realised something. Akibaranger seems to be communicating this very issue. the danger of the death of tokusatsu and otaku due to various other things such as fashion etc. could it be that this is a real issue in japan? that the people who used to watch tokusatsu into their twenties and thirties are no longer taking an interest in otaku things and are instead spending their money on fashion etc? sorry, this is way off topic. if you think this is something that could be discussed more then let me know and I'll split this post into a new topic. yeah i think we could rant a bit on this topic! ok starting a new thread for this subject. :- is Akibaranger a metaphor for real life decline of tokusatsu?
  22. sentinels such a big part of x-men. but most biggest part of xmen for me and somethings that have not appeared on movies screen yet... mr sinister, apocalypse, ... and what about bishop?
  23. writer? wasn't it the director?
  24. really? because my search on amazon says different! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-I9100-Galaxy-Free-Smartphone/dp/B004QTBQ2C but regardless, I will take it back. they cannot claim that it is to be expected. it wasn't advertised with a dodgy screen so it's not as advertised. I'll get a replacement or if they don't have a replacement, I may get a refund or I might take an s3.
