  11. ain't the british cool.....
  12. woah, BK!!! sounds like maybe your schools are vastly different from ours? the thing is, our schools focus on creativity rather than skills. I do know that in other coutries it is different such as I know in china, most schools focus on skills. perhaps the usa is also that way? although.. saying that, we do not get any exchange students from america. mostly from india, china, france, spain.... and i think a few more. but i never met an american student.
  13. not really, I was learning on my own even before i started going. a lot of the lectures were boring and showed stuff i was already very familiar with. the most important thing for me was having pressure on me and being able to structure my work. that way i knew i could produce something substantial because if i didn't i would fail. I found that it gave me a good work ethic. so you are in school, is that high school?
  14. the thing is, as you go further in education, you get talked at a lot less. in my final year of university, I had ZERO lectures. I was left to get on with whatever i decided to do. I had to find resources to learn what i wanted all by myself. I could get support from tutors if i could hunt them down, but the responsibility was solely on me.
  15. well hte most important thing when going into any art and design career is showing that you can do it. grades are not too important. I failed art in school.
  16. as long as it's moist i am happy I HATE dry meat.

you know, that is quite interesting dude! I do not have kids.. but if i think about how it might be to have kids... If they were so well behaved all the time, I think i might be quite worried. because if there is no situation for me to teach them right from wrong, then when they leave my care, there would be a danger of them making a lot of mistakes because i had not had the opportunity to teach them. when parents throw their kids out of the house, I think while it seems like a punishment, it is a way of saying " if you are ready to make this kind of decision, you are ready to be indipendant" it's like a rite of passage maybe. it is a path to growth.
  23. no problem dude. i don't want to put you off at all. we're all capable of slipping at times.
  24. i played vampire today. it's a bit annoying at the start, if you don't run right away you get stuck being bounced around by that thing. also the controls were awkward having my hands swapped round.. i can't move with my right hand.. it's so crazy... anyway... I really liked the way it was made. the graphics were delightful. it certainly had a castlevania feeling to it and the 3d effects were pretty cool. i'll try the others at a later date, no time right now. thanks for posting them.
