  1. I would definitely prefer if it was a standalone series. I think it needs it to be honest as there is way too much baggage with all this changing of companies. also, I think he wants to go back to his original inspiration and philosophy. so a total new set of characters and universe will be good.
  2. i'm not sure if i got this right, but i don't think it is part of islam to convert others? well maybe not as much as in christianity? I mean, I know full well what the word evangelism is. and some christians can be pretty aggressive about it. the thing about islam though... the written penalty in islam for turning your back on islam is the death penalty. so if these christians at the event had any real sense, they would have learned this and would not even be trying such a silly thing as they did. even if they weren't bluntly telling people to convert.. it's clear what their intention is. saying religion is to blame.. in some ways correct in some ways not correct. I think because the term religion is actually fairly ambiguous. I mean, if somebody reads the bible, makes their own interpretation but does not go to churches and does not wear cross etc, are they religious? what are we calling it? or is somebody who never read the bible and yet wears a cross and just follows what their dad says.... I think it's more as durendal said. fanaticism. and fanaticism exists in all places. most definitely sports. this is where the violence comes from. i believe it is psychological in that this person has such personal issues, they have to engross themselves completely in what it is they become fanatical about. it becomes their whole world and is why they would then live or die for it.
  3. yeah i'm no bigot of course, I love all people. but this is something i feel is dangerous. anyway, I completely redid my post so maybe it has a different message. take another look.
  4. I have many things to say on the subject but i have chose to leave it unsaid for now. just consider this. if it were supposedly part of a persons culture to gesticulate wildly with a machete while expressing his/her opinion, would that make it ok in this country? in the name of political correctness and supposed tolerance of cultural differences? our government need to change their interpretation of public feeling on this kind of issue. a news report i read stated: i wonder just what evidence he was using to ascertain our society as tolerant and respectful, when a poll suggested 67% of uk citizens would support a ban on this type of dress.
  5. I don't mind if durendal doesn't mind.
  6. it's funny though.. because i am seeing something of a pattern now. just in the news today, a member of parliament is being threatened with legal action because he doesn't wish to talk to constituents if they have their face covered. they say it's discrimination. I say it's his right to not speak to somebody unless they face him. actually it's rude to cover your face when talking to somebody. unless you're sick. I would not talk to somebody if they have their face covered. I would feel threatened by it. so this seems, the law is seemingly perverted in favour of muslim shariah law?
  7. wow, you completely confused me then! I think i know what you're saying, i think i also didn't make myself too clear ok what i meant in my last post is that in the navbox, we can still have a link for 'zoaform' and the target of that link is the zoaform section of the main guyver page. that is if it can be done? I'll give it a go now. edit: yes it works, see what you think. if you think it doesn't serve a purpose, feel free to remove it again.
  8. i think you used the VDF2 version as well? it looks very impressive now!! such a fine image! it's unfortunate we don't have a height for him, I cannot do an accurate guyver 1 silhouette. I'll look forward to putting some matte colours on these though.
  9. oh ok, then that would be excellent. well actually the guyver zero image is the one i was looking at when i noticed. it is due to the blasted magic wand of course. it is an awkward tool. I realise now, that is why the image looked faint. because the magic wand tool had stripped the outer part of the lines.
  10. yes, i think that sounds good. unless it can link to the zoaform section within the guyver page? i think that can be done can't it?
  11. proprosal for information contained on main guyver page, be merged with this page and then this page inserted into the main guyver page as a template.
  12. yeah that sounds good to me. I never expected you to do any of that. if you have clean images, that's more than enough. i mean, cleaning the images is what takes most time as far as i'm concerned, so to have that already sorted, is a bonus. i'm not sure if you are cleaning these yourself or if you got them from a different source, i noticed they are tend to be smaller than the ones that i uploaded. could be any reason for that, but if by any chance you are shrinking them, I think it better if they are not resized. i mean.. i don't know, maybe i'm wrong, the images i uploaded were over 1000 pixels high normally. but then again that could be due to the cropping i used. I tend to prefer a larger margin. edit: ok, just checked the size and i see where the image was come from. the VDF. no problem. I decided though, I want to redo the cleaning on the edges because there is some corruption that i can avoid if i do it by hand. it'll take a bit longer and just make the outcome a little smoother. but if you can do these quickly that great for now. it certainly makes the articles look so much better until i can get off my backside and do some work on the images.
  13. yeah, I think it's gonna cause some issues when the person who converted that to romaji, exchanges 'ha' for 'no'. didn't really have a fighting chance did we? anyway.. i was just looking at that one, durendal do you think that could be 'harsh detective'? I'm just going from my dictionary programs, I've not heard the phrase before so I'm probably barking up the wrong tree.
  14. i don't think it's the tone of the images that is the issue, rather it is the thickness of the lines. I was mainly looking at the guyver zero image. I actually agree with your decision to take the black backgrounds off. let me do something to the guyver zero image to show you what i mean. btw, I'm not suggesting we find replacement images. I'm suggesting that I add the matte colour to the images we currently have on there.
  15. yeah i understand the issue. I guess it could appear that the police are behaving unfairly towards christians. is there any other occurence of this? or is this police acting in favour of muslims? which way around? hmm, In a way i guess it could be seen as awkward. i would like to say, with regards to spreading the gospel, any christian doing this, in order to be effective, needs to think about how they would be received. the simplicity of the act is simply making sure people know about it. in this respect, going to talk to muslims is kinda redundant since they already know about the gospel. they just add more stories and dogma to it. so this may not be completely relevant but evangelising to muslims is kind of redundant. or maybe i'm wrong. if so, no big deal. I'll accept it. edit: seems matt has posted before me. my post was not taking into account what matt wrote but it's ok, doesn't change much.

  18. I was thinking, do you suppose the images are hard to see against a white background? obviously, not an issue against black background, but now maybe it is. what say you? maybe a dash of simple colour on each figure. no fancy shading or whatnot. just to make them stand out against he background.
  19. if the muslims were celebrating their faith in a festival and the christians were coming along to 'spread the word'... actually that is incredibly offensive and almost like they are oppressing the muslims. they are acting like the muslims are wrong for believing what they believe. now I'm not a US citizen so I don't fully get what it's like to live in a place with a RIGHT to freedom of speech or freedom of expression. here in the UK, if your actions are causing upset to a large chunk of the community, you can be asked to stop. so from my point of view, those police were acting normally. perhaps to an american, it looks wrong? I'm not sure. the problem with a right to freedom of speech, you can get a lot of people writing things that are incredibly offensive. I watched a program on tv about some christian offshoot sect that was picketing the roads with signs saying "god hates fags". i see that as a problem and I think it can promote violence if the police cannot stop anything like this. in the end, I do agree that it is probably more of a political issue than a religious one. since I believe that many westerners are very uncomfortable when confronted with islam. and so the authorities have to be aware of this and know that any situation could arise quite easily.

  21. from that news reel, you get the impression that they are coming back as the original power rangers in the zyu rangers suits etc. are they not going to be using shinkenger footage? it'll look pretty dodgy if they 'green-screen' the zyu rangers over teh shinenger footage
  22. but if i understood correctly, those aren't the actual actors, just that the names are correct. like the actors have not been decided on yet. it was pretty cool anyway.
  23. actually, my measurements guide is up to 3 metres so it's no too tricky to simply size them up. draglord was tricky because he was enormous. and the others were tricky because i had to carefully clean round the edges.
  24. i'll admit the images are better and are more presentable. if you request, I can do the height comparison on images. i could do maybe 4 or 5 at a time. it does sometimes take a while to clean them so if you have clean images, then could submit them all to me gradually for adding on the guyver 1 silhouette.
  25. ok cool. hmm, i guess i can do that one now before i call it a day. it takes so long to do these It was particularly challenging to do draglord!!! working at that scale is tricky, and my new computer even has trouble when the actual image size is bigger than my house...
