What live-action series are you watching or have you watched?
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
you've convinced me I don't want to watch it heh heh , sorry, those musics are not giving me a good feeling about the series. it's probably wonderful but i think maybe it will make me sad. to be honest, I would probably love it, I just looked at the opening. but maybe i can leave it til a later date. -

looking at the dvd cover, the series looks interesting. i've seen a few japanese dress like that, it seems like an iconic style. jam project have that sort of style. i think it must be japanese rocker style? -
i don't think it's going to inspire me to draw anything but i am sure somebody else might give it a try. good luck.

i wouldn't say i 'don't like' emotional love story. only, the end of zettai kareshi was very painful. I like romantic love story if it is not so painful. i think most of them that i watched have been like that to some degree. atashinchi no danshi was romantic, meichan no shitsuji was. but maybe you are talking about a different style? I guess zettai kareshi is that type though anyway.. like bicentennial man, or like AI or like chobits. they are inevitably sad because of the subject matter. no matter what the outcome there will always be something wrong in your mind. I liked ohitorisama, that was mostly a romantic drama, and the ending was mostly good. I'll take a look at Hero later on. btw i had a quick peek at otomen. i glimpsed a couple of scenes and i did like the style. they have paid a lot of attention to the setting and the environments. what is that word... mise en scene? that's what i like. -

what are your thoughts on these series' ? what style are they and how would you rate them or compare them to? i have been hooked on dragonball and i want to start collecting a couple series as i am empty apart from yama onna kabe onna. well i did look for a new series and i looked on dwiki for a fuji tv series that look interesting. I decided to try a series called otomen. it's about a high school student who is a tournament fighter and in secret is very effeminate. haven't got hold of any yet but it looks like an interesting idea. -
despite how amazing that robot is, the backing dancers didn't help the presentation. I was fascinated by the one on the left. she had great legs!

can you supply us with the character bio? a link or a copy-paste here.

ah, you mean the most recent episodes? because the pain arc has finished now hasn't it? (ep175) because pain is well... pain is no longer a focus of the story. now it is ... i guess you could call it the danzo arc?

actually, i only started reading the manga towards teh end of the pain arc. so there may be fillers that i wasn't aware of being fillers at the time. actually i think if you have not read the manga and do not know it is a filler, it isn't so bad. i thought about not reading the manga... but i couldn't do that! i want to know what happens edit: looking at that list for what would be the pain arc, i cannot see any eps that would be mostly filler because the numbers for canon content seems quite high. are you sure there was 10 eps of filler? or are you referring to 144-151 plus 170-171 ?
-
yeah at least with a filler episode you can skip the whole thing. a filler arc may be best because you can just skip the lot. like the sanbi arc. needing to skip 80% of an episode is lame.
-
it depends how much time you have. generally, throughout the series it is not so interesting. it's not utterly boring but it doesn't have many twists and turns. the end of it is far more exciting. the actual finale is the best i have seen of kamen rider so far. i actually think the OOO page would be more useful than W right now. people will be more interested in reading about OOO right now so I think it would be more beneficial for bringing in traffic.
-
i think we call it Fuuto. after all, we don't call Tokyo eastern capital. so i think that is correct. sorry to hear about your spoiler. it's gonna be hard to avoid that unless you watch the series first.

looking good dude. with armour shadow, you could simply right click and select clipping mask. then you can delete your current mask on that and paint your shadows freely with a soft brush.
-
ah ok. well put it in a zip file and you can attach it just fine. yeah a clipping mask is just like a regular mask. but a regular mask is just black and white and only applies to one layer. if you wanted to use the same mask for multiple layers you would have to use laborious copy and paste. with a clipping mask, you start with your base. your base can be any colour. if you then use a clipping mask you can paint any other colour on top of it and it won't go over the edges. also, if you then decide to adjust the outline, you can paint the master layer and all other layers that are linked to it will change accordingly. following 3 screens should help. basic shape used as clipping mask. other two layers then painted freely. i used yellow to paint on the layer being used as the clipping mask. then i erased down the middle.
-
i can post anything here. but i don't need to post anything. a clipping mask is basically a mask that uses the layer below it as the masking data. it ensures that you can only paint where there is paint on the layer that you have attached it to. a clipping mask will only operate with the layer below it. if you use a clipping mask on a layer above a layer that is already using a clipping mask, it will inherit the masking from the one that was used by the other one. just play around with them and see what happens. to say it more technically, a clipping mask tells the current layer (1) to use the alpha channel of the layer below it (2) as a mask, unless the layer below it (2) is already using a clipping mask (3). if the layer below it (2) is using a clipping mask (3), it will inherit that alpha channel(3) instead of using the layers own alpha channel(2).

also, need to remember that there is a large majority of the human body that is not dictated by human dna. not least of which is essential bacteria required for normal digestion.

I'm glad you found it useful. I actually made this for my classmates when i was in university. I have done another tutorial that i can think of. it was hayami with shou and mizuki hugging outside the villa. I don't have a copy of it but somebody else might have it. but i think it was pretty much the same thing that i showed in this thread. i don't think there is more that i could demonstrate though to be honest. unless there is something specific you'd like guidance on and if i happen to be good at it.. than i guess i could try and fit something together.

Animation, Games and Live-Action Wallpapers
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in LET'S CREATING!
i removed the images that were anime or tokusatsu based. -
it's there. so i would say, yes it's your eyes! but don't worry, i wouldn't expect anyone to be able to tell just by looking, since the tone of the background may disguise it. if you use the dropper tool you'd see. the gradient i used was a basic black to white ramp. and the opacity was reduced. if i had not reduced the opacity you would not see the linework on their feet. apart from that though, the point of the solid colour layer is mainly to control the clipping masks. it's your foundation.

lowrider. that is all.

more like 5. they started on 450 back in ep175 it's pretty bad eh? they used naruto's meeting with inari to fuel an entire episode by giving a flashback to inari's childhood. like we really want to see that. if they're gonna make fillers i'd rather hey just make it pure filler, not spread out decent story and destroy any sense of pacing.
-
to elaborate on the filler situation.... what they're doing at the moment is covering less than half a chapter per episode and filling the rest with made-up crap from the past. it's pretty depressing because in one episode you had to skip through the shite to find the canon stuff that was placed at the end of the episode. here's the filler list - http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=501381 i'll put that in the first post as well. it's like butter spread over too much bread.
