That would be cool if they had made a series of films on the guyver and they did really well. Than they made a film based on Aptom. I'd want to see something like that.

One I've wondered about in the Guyver universe--wouldn't it be a hassle for Shizu to wash her hair in a sink instead of a shower, or deal with on a windy day? I guess maybe Natsuki saw her long hair from early in the manga as an inconvenience in several ways, and why Shizu almost never wears her hair fully down.

It occurs to me that Archanfel never slept in a house before. Or in a bed for that matter. I kind of really want to see what is happening with him and the Segawas. Has he ever spoken to a human? A normal ordinary human who then didn't become a Zoanoid? He was created in an environment where it was clear from every angle that he existed for warfare. He and everyone and everything he had ever seen or experienced - Everything on the planet he was born on had been devised by his creators to be a weapon. For him, there has never been a moral aspect: How could there be? For all intents and purposes, he is a gun. What use could he possibly have for love? Or doubt? His entire ancestral line existed only to serve in a war. None of which explains why he protected Earth and its beings after they had been dismissed by their creators. He was sad. So I guess the creators failed even worse than they had realized. They must have felt really bummed out. How did it go again... ARCHANFEL: "Please, tell me what we did wrong. Just tell me what I have to do? What do you want me to do...?!" CREATORS: "Die." If there is any pair of people in the world who could introduce him to another way of thinking it's the Segawas. I have another idea: We know there was a war on. What if the beings who created humanity were the bad guys? Space Nazis. Who else would create an entire ecosystem only to use as weapons? Perhaps they finally lost, and now the Space Allies are assessing the damage. And Apollyon was sent to see whether humanity should be destroyed. That's why he disarmed the Zoalords: They are the most dangerous, most deadly life forms on Earth. Without Archanfel, humanity would never have become Zoanoids again. If he manages to destroy Chronos, perhaps we can eventually join the Galactic Federation or whatever. Apollyon is James Bond. (Or Sterling Archer. James Bond would probably be a little less prepared to say "Acceptable losses".) Of course, the Guyvers are a complicating factor...

even if guyver was to come to an end, this site would still operate and members would grow.... why? because different people of different ages are constantly rediscovering guyver and their search for anime and manga will lead them here. these new past translated chapters and future ones will never be released openly, so yuki will still be busy answering peoples questions about how to preorder the volumes for along time to come yet. elvis died in the 70's, yet how many people do you know or see who wear elvis tshirts and own elvis albums, who were born in the 80's and 90's? (i know, i've just compared guyver with elvis, but in the anime and magna world, guyver is up there with the best.) anyone know how big of a market guyver is in japan and china alone, most probably bigger than the population of australia! and for the rest of us already here, we would always be here, some interacting, some not. cause guyver is one of our passions. for example, look at yourself jupiter, you've said in short that basically you use to be a guyver fan but got bored and lost your passion and interest for it many years ago. yet, here you are today, an active contributing member. as for guyver anime, both out of control and the ova were really just stand alone since they branched off slightly from the original story. the 2005 version was the only series which followed the manga. and why there hasn't been a series2 could probably be due to ADV films closing down in 2009. i truely believe that if a new series was to be made, that it would continue from the 2005 series.

Aptom's Gregole/Vamore/Enzyme II composite form is the "final boss" of the series so to speak, but let's think of what could actually happen if it had gone on longer. What does Aptom do after Sho defeats him? He absorbs Elegan, but wait! Elegan died giving his life energy to ZX-Tole, who also died way too early. Gaster and Derzerb? Also dead. The entire Hyper Zoanoid 5 died before Aptom even showed up. Think about it, with all of them gone, how is Aptom to evolve past that composite form? He can't. Don't get me wrong, the 12-episode OVA is probably my favorite Guyver media outside of the manga, but 12 episodes is all it could be. It's absurdly gory and violent, and with horrible dubs (which makes it perfect in my eyes), but there is no way they could have possibly extended the life of it. Yeah; I ran into that problem myself, when I was writing my series. I solved it with cloning; and I have to say, I really enjoyed writing first-clone ZX-tole's freak out when the second batch of clones was decanted. Cloning is a good way to get around ZX-tole and the other Team 5 members demise.

I think the anime series is closer to the tone of the manga. I like the anime more because it plays up the human aspect while the OVA played up the violence and alien aspect more. Even the music of the OVA seems more alien and not so emotional. Not that I tink the OVA is bad by any means but I guess I like my alien superheroes to struggle more with their former human lives, not saying Sho never did. I certainly much love how Anime Sho spends an episode or two struggling with being a clone while even the manga sort of brushed it aside after a chapter.
