I really hope Spidey's story will be different from the Marvel Civil War comic. I did not like how it turned out.

I don't see how they could make it like it was in the comic. In the comic:

- Spidey was already working for Tony Stark in his civilian identity of Peter Parker, and helped him in his attempt to stop the Superhuman Registration Act politically.

- He revealed his civilian identity to the public for the first time ever when the SHRA went into effect to support it.

- He changed his views when the actual civil war began, mainly because of the way the pro-registration side treated prisoners and, If I remember Correctly, the death of Goliath and the cloning of Thor (and wouldn't it be something if they cloned Thor in the movie? Doubt it though).

- He went underground after the war, but then Aunt May got shot and he sought help from, among others, Tony Stark again.

You just can't do all that in a movie where you introduce Spider-Man.

Hold on. Almost all the Avengers are in this movie. Only Thor and the Hulk are missing. This is almost a third Avengers movie!

I'm just worried about the whole revealing the identity to the public. Perhaps I'm just being paranoid. I will try not to be critical either way. I will watch the movie and just enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah, Thor's gonna be dealing with Ragnarok in Asgard, so doubt he'll be in the movie. Though he was in the Civil War itself. So it's kind of weird he isn't there. I don't know why Hulk is MIA though. As far as Spidey, yeah I think people are just tired of his origin story. Black Panther is being introduced in this movie too. So I don't know. Spidey might take his mask off for the press but it just wouldn't have as much of in impact sense this is a new Spidey and all.

Well, we still don't quite know all of the workings of the Registration Act (or the "Accords") in the MCU, so I guess we're gonna have to wait and see how it plays out.

SPOILERS:

Thor was actually dead during Civil War.

clone-thor.jpg

The Thor lookalike in 'Civil War' was an android, coated in cloned tissue derived from one of Thor's hairs (So sort of a 'Thorminator'), which Tony Stark had obtained way back when the Avengers were just starting up and he wanted to ascertain whether Thor was a superhuman, an alien, a mutant or actually something which could not be quantified - like a god. What surprises me most about all of this is that Thor even has DNA. The Thor clone - usually known as 'Clor' - had an artificial brain, so he was not human in any sense of the word; nobody is entirely sure who programmed him, but there is strong evidence it was Henry Pym; the Thor clone was apparently a group project by Tony Stark, Reed Richards and Henry Pym. The problem with that was that, at the time, Henry Pym was actually Criti-Noll, a Skrull infiltrator.

Anyway, Clor kept repairing himself after the moment above and, after discovering he really was just a copy of Thor, changed his name to Ragnarok and fought the original, only to be defeated again. Eventually he was inured into the Thunderbolts, and the evil dr.June Covington (aka 'Toxic Doxie') used the advanced technology of an alternate universe they travelled to to restore him completely, without his artificial brain. So then he technically really was a clone of Thor, albeit retaining his 'Clor / Ragnarok' memories; he finalized the deal by seizing the hammer of the alternate universe Thor to see whether he was worthy, or just a carbon copy. Then this happened...

Whatever he is now, he seems more heroic than anything, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Oh really? I thought Thor did fight in CW, and went up against Hercules but ultimately was stopped by Odin. Who appeared, slapped him around and dragged him back to Asgard. Maybe I'm mixing two different series or stories together? I don't recall. I haven't read Civil War in years, but I do remember one series I read where Thor showed up to fight the Avengers, or the like thereof, and Odin shows up and says something along the lines of "This is a mortal problem. Let them deal with it." Maybe it was WWH. Sorry for the confusion.  :dead:

Thor was also still dead during 'World War Hulk'. I think the events you refer to occurred pretty much exactly the way you describe right before "Fear itself". The less said about that, the better.

I expected a certain somebody to die, I'm glad that person didn't die.  And is it me, or does Aunt May get younger and younger in each movie iteration?  So what happens to the avengers now?
