August 25, 201510 yr We still don't really know just how Zoanoids are named. Presumably the scientists decide on a name, either individually as a sort of recognition if they were mainly responsible for some new type, or as a committee; or maybe it's the Zoalords' privilege. Thing is, most names don't seem to make much sense. Even in Japanese. So... how would you name Zoanoid types if they had to have English, somewhat descriptive names - ie, supervillain names, kind of 90's style? Gregole – Ramhorn Vamore – Glare Ramotith – Feral Thancrus - Deathblade Derzerb - Ironclad Gaster - Blastwave Elegen - Conduit Zektoll - Hercules
August 26, 201510 yr This looks fun. I'll have to put some thought into this! Anyone have any ideas ho2 the Japanese translates to English?
August 26, 201510 yr Author No, but that's just it - pretty sure the Zoanoids' names don't actually mean anything in Japanese or any language. (Excepting names like Enzyme, Oranganann - which I think is Indonesian for 'being human' - Libertus, and Casvarius, which refers to the Cassowary). Some more Hyper-Zoanoids... Zerbebuth - Arsenal Panadyne - Alchemy Myumelzee - Sonic Bilbo-Negg - Pinball Gastal - Spectral

August 26, 201510 yr Author ..Research? I'm just making stuff up here. Like I said, Nineties style, when all superhero and -villain names had to be ridiculously 'badass'.
August 26, 201510 yr I mean the stuff like Casvarius-Cassowary. Although I thought a lot about Zoalords names, but never thought about Zoanoids. Yes, hardcore guyverology

August 30, 201510 yr just some fooling around while I got a free moment. グレゴール gregole. in japanese more like gurego-ru. gureru means delinquent. go-ru sounds like the english gore. so gregole could be delinquent gore. ヴァモア vamore. vampire? moa? ラモãƒã‚¹ ramotith. ramochisu.mochi can mean full moon. ゼルブブス zerububusu. mazeru means mix/mingle. busu means extremely ugly woman. (seru can mean competeã€buu buu can be sfx for a pig) zektor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zektor elegen elegant? zancrus zan can mean beheading. curusu can be cross. gasutaa gasu can mean gasoline.
September 3, 201510 yr as another name that does have a meaning, Eltopo is named after the spanish word for "mole". "El Topo" means "The Mole" interesting, eh
September 4, 201510 yr Author That is interesting. And I am suspecting there is more to the names after all than I suspected. 'Zangallo' is an actual Italian name, for instance. Bilfinger is a German name. Bresnel, Curvill and Ziatt are all existing names (and so is 'Getz', of course). 'Gregole' would be spelled the same as 'Gregor' in Japanese. Gustav is a name outright.
September 5, 201510 yr I always assumed that the names of the types of Zoanoids, were a kind of decifganacion of the creators, such as guyver term, or the same name alkanphel
September 19, 201510 yr Author ....That is an interesting thought. Does Archanfel know the names of all the Zoanoid types? I am gonna say 'yes', he knows all about all of their qualities. After all, he's the one who has to deploy them. In fact that's probably pretty much all he knows. So are all the Zoanoid names originally made up by the Creators?? They are all alien words? Now I feel even more justified in making this thread.
September 21, 201510 yr It is just speculation, but it is consistent with what is known of Cronus and alkanphel, if that were the case, I would say that even the term Zoanoid, would like the zoalord terms of the creators, Specific names may sound similar, or even equal to one that exists in the language, current word, but have a very different meaning in the language of the creators,
