May i ask what the hell? I mean the ending was good and all but 6 months man?! I wonder what happened to Allelujah because now Hallelujah isn't around which is really gay because i thought he was the best and that dumb trinity bitch needs to die along with the chinese chick because sh'e just annyoingly gay but Hong Long is ok. I loled at how Grahm is alive but what is Shaachez doing alive? but i guess Setsuna needs to be his death. I can't wait for the new season even though its going to feel like an eternity before it comes back, but hey Code Geass R2 comes out in alittle bit more then a week.

The 6 month wait is all due to marketing.

It's 6 months where they can catch up on merchandise like Model kits, character figures, DVDs, ect... but then not have stuff really go stale because Season 2 will start up, keeping the first season still in peoples minds.

They saw how badly having a show can end can effect the merchandising of it. Gundam Seed attempted to continue it's merchandise well after it was over... and it worked... for a while. But it died off probably a good 6-8 months after. Destiny kind of helped, but all in all, the merchandising for Gundam Seed was dead, and Destiny took over.

This time they are playing it smarter... and sure, we get a break from it, even though we don't want it... but it's not like we are not left with other things to watch.

...Hallelujah's death gave me giggles. They show that, when Allelujah and Hallelujah cooperate, they're nigh unstoppable, and then they go kill off Hallelujah so they can't do it again. So predictable.

Also laughed over Lasse's death and how glossed over it was. Everyone else that died got a death scene, whereas he got an explosion and Setsuna destroying the remains of the vehicle he was in along with the GN Arms in a suicidal rush at Alejandro's mobile armor. Hallelujah got a better death scene than him, and he didn't even have a physical body. Hell, Tieria got a better death scene than him, and he didn't even die!

Still, I think it's kind of messed up how they are heavily implying the deaths of three of the main characters (Setsuna, Hallelujah, and Lockon). I'm sure I'm not the only one expecting the return of at least one or two of them in part 2, if not all of them in some form or other.

Edit: One last thing, just because I like to bring up awkward subjects. Since Allelujah's head injury apparently killed off Hallelujah, one has to wonder at the extent of the brain damage it caused. One would think that it would need to be pretty significant to kill of an entire alternate personality.

My mistake on the schedule then. But you are wrong about the title that they won't use the same title. Much like Code Gease, they added an R2 to the title, so I don't think Gundam OO will remain as Gundam OO, but will be renamed like Gundam OO + O, or something like that. Still, I will be doubtful of a second season without first watching how they did with Code Geas. People have tendencies making cash cows out of popular series.

They had two seasons of Gundam Seed and didn't change the title inbetween seasons... o.0 I think it was like 26 episodes in each Gundam Seed season and there was a 6 month wait for season two.

The only thing they changed was the Opening Theme. Title stayed...

Err... Gundam Seed had 49 episodes, and it was broadcasted weekly non-stop. I think you mistook their second season which was Gundam Seed Destiny. Also it is not peculiar to change opening theme mid season, as most Anime practice this to feature a dramatic change in story.

Gundam Seed was 50 episodes, while Gundam Seed Destiny was 50 as well, with 2 specials. And both Seed series had 4 openings each ( technically Destiny did have 5. Since the Final Plus ep had a different opening).

Gundam Seed was a one season show at 50 episodes. Gundam 00 will be a 2 season series at 26 episodes each. The difference here is that normally an average "Anime Season" is one half of the year, usually 26 episodes. However, in the past a lot of series go longer, and go for the 50-52 episode run, with no break between episodes. These are still considered a single season. Especially since most of then do not have cliffhangers at the end of ep 26.

There was no break between playing the episodes of Gundam Seed, or "mid season break" like what Gundam 00 or Code Geass are doing. There was a 1 Year break between Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny however. But naturally they are considered seperate seasons.

And if you look at the titles, naturally being a sequel series, it was only modified from the original. But it was changed.

I HAVE RETURNED FROM MY AP EXAM! God I hate US history.

I totally agree about Lasse.

The only masculine character has to die a pointless death of course. I'm a little suspicious about Setsuna trying to confirm is vitals after the bird pit even exploded. I would think you'd only add that if there was a significant possibility that he survived. He might come back with an arm missing like Waldfield (There has to be a sane way of spelling and pronouncing this name.) from Seed.

I don't think Hallelujah's disappearance is a physical injury as much as it's a mental breakthrough. Split personalities form so that People can cope with situations that their normal state of mind can not handle. Rather than confront their obstacles they forcefully suppress whatever memory they have of acting out of character. By working with him, Allelujah proved he had the will necessary to fight, and thus the alternate personality no longer had a purpose that Allelujah could not fulfill on his own. From a writer's point of view this is a maturation of the character as he has learned to support himself. Also, I totally saw that coming too!

It's in a in-between season break and would resume in September, I think. A new trend that they are testing to see wether the series is worth the whole 40+ episode. They've done this to Code Geass and seems to prolong the popularity of the series.

I was expecting it to be crappy like G Gundam (I love G Gundam, but it is still crap) and a lame imitation of Gundam Wing.

I was pleasantly surprised, and I'm so glad the characters tend to be older then just puberty stricken murderous teenagers in Gundams. Just got pissed that they started to kill all of the older characters towards the end... what is it with Anime hating older male leads and chubby people? Also, it's the most realistic of the Gundams so far.

Ah ok. I've got all current 25 episodes but I've only watched Eps.1. Kinda pathetic ain't it?

It's the pilot. The whole point of episode 1 is to introduce the main characters of the Anime and give you a climpse of the main storyline. But 00 does get more interesting later on! The 2nd season of 00 isn't that far off!

It may also be sunrise trying to prevent the same mishaps that happened with Gundam seed destiny where Animation (their must be a drinking game for destiny every time you spot reused animation) and writing fell behind scheudle and last minute changes were made to plot to market mechs that were not orginaly planned from the start like strike freedom

Personally, so far, I don't like much of what I have seen.

Gundams -

Gundam 00 - I kinda like it... but only because it looks like a retro fitted Exia. It's 2 "Gun Blades" that we've seen I don't like though. They are just plain ugly.

"Kyrios MkII" - Doesn't look too bad. An over simplified version of the first Kyrios... but not the worst design out there. Still like Kyrios better.

"Dynames MkII" - Crap. Dynames was a cool design, and this is an over simplified crap version of it.

"Virtue MkII" - Again, same deal with "Dynames MkII". Looks horrible.

Pilots -

All 4 seem to return... including Lockon? I know what the rumors are, but seriously, LAME. At least Setsuna looks a bit older.

I'm shaking my head in disgust here... I really liked the first season... but Season 2 isn't starting off very well... and it hasn't even aired.

Let's just give them a chance first. Remember that the previous Gundam Series (Seed Destiny) was full of Gundam eye candy so the plot was kind crap. Hopefully the plot for the second season of 00 will make up for the designs of the mech. Besides, if it's a simplified version, maybe they have some attachments in mind for those mechs. We just won't know until we watch it now, won't we?

I can officially confirm that LockOn Stratos will be returning in Season 2 of Gundam 00, however it will be Neal's twin brother Lyle who will be taking his brother's codename. I cann't wait till it airs in October!!

Hopefully we will be to see an upgraded version of Nadaleeh in season 2.

If Lockon does return in Season 2 it will be so stuffed up it won't be funny. Anyway Mat Lockon had a twin brother I belive. Layle I think his name is.

I persnoally reckon Gundam 00 to be one off strongest Gundam series I watched. Minor spoiler.. In our world setting Gundam 00 story takes place in.

Nadleeh Gundam looked pretty cool with its red dread locks hair. System Id mode anyone lol.

Personally, I'm going out of the way to avoid seeing the new mechs and characters. It was kind of obvious that LockOn's twin would replace him though. I'm more interested in one shot I accidentally saw of

Feldt in a pilot's suit

.

Also, I'm not really tired of S1 Gundam designs, so maybe just tweaking them isn't a bad idea. Still, adding body armor and more guns is not "tweaking". Gundam 00 better not just be a giant brick drenn-house.

I'm sure with the months long break would give them enough material to come up with a decent plot and better mech designs. They managed fine with the first season, I think they would surprise us with the second season. They might not let us expect anything, then blow us away with nice and shiny Gundams. Previews doesn't necessarily mean that's all were going to expect of the show.

"Ooh, what does this button do?" :D

Meh... crap designs are still crap designs. They look like some amature fanart of the Season 1 designs.

Seed Destiny's plot was crap because of the director and his way of listening to the "fans". I have hopes that the plot of Season 2 will save the horrible mecha designs... but they are pretty inexcusable. I've watched EVERY Gundam Animation that there is, and while this isn't the biggest insult I've seen... it certainly is a slap in the face to fans of the original mecha designs.

I mean, you look at the 00 Gundam. It seems to fit with the mecha designs that we've seen thus far. But the other 3 new ones have hard edges, and flat designs. They don't seem to fit the general theme of the Gundam designs, and look really out of place.

And for those who mentioned... the "Rumor" I previously stated, yeah I know about it being his twin brother... thus why I called it LAME. Lockon Stratos/Neil Dylandy was a great character. Killing him off was sad, but they did. I would wish that they didn't dishonor the said sacrifice in such a bad way.

I'm still going to watch Season 2 with a very open mind. Season 1 was great, and from what I have read about the plot, it seems it may continue in that direction. But as an artist and model builder... the Season 2 Gundams are inferior in aesthetics to the original 4.

Manage to see some photos of the second season from Newtype. I find the names a bit wierd. Exia obviously is 00 Gundam. For the Dynames, Keldim Gundam? For Kyrios, Alios Gundam, and for Virtue, Seravy (C'est la Vie?) Gundam? Wierd.

From the last few seconds of the previous season, weren't they trying to use proto type Gundams to continue on? Wouldn't it make sense then that the Gundam's wouldn't be as complex? Maybe the simplified designs are a part of the plot in that regard, and not just a marketing ploy. Which is really different, that the series is challenging the marketing campaign, and finding imaginative ways in the story to come up with new toys to sell. I mean, the 'new more advanced mech that appears from nowhere' plot tool has been done to death. Trying to improve outdated tech and make it more advanced is now more interesting.
