Guest snow Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 One of my favorite videos games of all time is Skyrim. I was really impressed by the vampire dlc. Being a vampire in Skyrim is really fun. Gives you a sense of superiority almost. However I enjoyed the level system quite a bit.The only downside is that the game is really really glitchy on both the PS3 and X-Box 360. You could be playing and the entire game would just freeze up and you'd have to restart from the next save point. I think I've been playing Skyrim on and off since it came out in 2011. I really enjoyed the companions quest line even though it was very short lived. Both the Dragonborn, Solsteim, and Mages Guild questlines were the longest. I really enjoyed the endless quests that you could do. I like how you can level as much as you want thanks to the 1. 9 updates . I enjoyed Skyrim more than any game out there. Just I didn't care much for the game freezing up on my PS3 during a quest. Very aggravating at times. I don't think they will ever be able to fix all the glitches. But I don't really care. Still one of the best games I ever played. Quote
*V Guyver Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Game uses up a lot of ram memory, precisely where the PS3 suffers when compared to the 360. Did you try an hard drive install into the PS3? It helps with the memory, though it might take up a good chunk of the hard drive if it has very limited memory. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Does anyone remember Xenosaga ( namco)? That was a great role playing game. I remember playing it my freshman year in high school. What I didn't like about it was the constant grinding of levels. It took weeks just to get to a workable level just to be down a few bosses before the process started all over again. The grind was really boring but the story and characters were great. Took forever to just level up....but that all changed when I went out and purchased a Game Shark. I really liked Kos-Mos and how bad ass she was. I'm disappointed that the trilogy hasn't been converted over to a PS3 HD collection. Its really sad that we're having to leave its legacy with the PS2. Its graphics have so much untapped potential. Quote
*Chernaudi Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Console: I'm still stuck on the PS2. I hope one day to get a PS3 or 4 when I'm able to get some money saved up. But anyways, Gran Turismo 4, since I'm a racing fan. The Medal of Honor series, since I'm a World War II history guy. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, set in a modern setting with a quasi-government assassin taking down criminals. PC: Only PC game I really play is Postal 2. Funny game, open sandbox game play. You can chose how violent you wanna be, and how violent everyone else will be. You can set it up to where the whole town is insane and want to kill your character. Game's just insanely absurd. Where a gallon of gas is much cheaper than a carton of milk, and going to the bank, library, church, or a factory can become life or death experiences. The town of Paradise is anything but, and it's entirely played for laughs. I'd love to have Gran Turismo 6, but by then, 7 might be out. They've been pretty rapid fire with releasing the GT games the past few years. Quote
durendal Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the PSone. For me, it was the best game hands down. Quote

LordSpleach Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I got too many myself, but in recent memory, it would Mortal Kombat(2011). The series not only returned to form, but came back in spectacular fashion. It IS the best game in the series. Quote
*PrimalNemesis Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Way too many to name, but being the wrestling fan that I am I would have to that say one of my favorite wrestling games would have to be WWF No Mercy for the N64. It is very well rounded game with solid wrestling mechanics. You can easily tell it was made by hardcore wrestling fans. The game had a lot of love poured into it. I got many years of joy out of it! *Chernaudi Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 And there I am with Postal 2, which is basically bad South Park with guns LOL But the low-browness is as entertaining as the strategy in the MOH WWII shooters and the stuff in any GT game. Quote

Cannibal Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) I love first person view and don't like third person view, I just don't understand it, it's almost always too unrealistic (like you can see what's behind the corner) and I can't feel the character. But I love tpv when playing racing games. My TOP-25 of games (copypaste from other thread):1. Operation Flashpoint, ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 (because of editor and all that realistic stuff)2. Cannibal Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Dune 2 was on a Sega system? Yes, it's called Dune II: Battle for Arrakis, it's a port from original PC Dune 2, but it have it's own graphics. Quote
*Chernaudi Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Postal 2 is the bomb on Impossible mode. Only issue is that the game's code in all difficulties is a bit unstable and fragile, so it can crash often sometimes. On Impossible mode, everyone wants to kill you and to discourage save scumming (which would normally lead to Postal Dude making snide comments), you're only allowed one manual save per stage/day (a day in Postal 2 is a stage). However, the game being older than dirt and have crap loads of load screens does help out and act in the game's favor here, because each load screen is a check point that triggers an auto save. Aside from the crashes and glitches, which can be frustrating (crashes) and funny (glitches), it's pretty damn intense and fun. Quote
TheAptomStrain Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 The Tales series in general but Tales of Vesperia is easily my favorite in the franchise. Also love the Kingdom Hearts series with Dream Drop Distance being my favorite. I actually prefer the handhelds over the actual console games in that series. My favorite Final Fantasy game is IX. Love Dissidia as well because I get to play as Kuja. Any game by SNK with Garou: Mark of the Wolves being my my favorite. Xenogears is one of the greatest video games of all time and I believe Xenosaga is a disgrace to the Xeno name. Love Mega Man X, but only X1-X5, perfect stopping point for Mega Man Zero to take off. Dragon Warrior III was my first RPG that I had myself and wasn't owned by my older brothers so I'm still wishing the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VII will make it overseas. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I recently started playing Drakengard 3 and its become quite a favorite of mine. The gameplay is fun, as well as how everything works from buying weapons and leveling up. I am very quite fond of the story. They have 6 Intoners, women that are immortal who rule over all the lands. They all go by numbers like Lady 5, Lady 4, Lady Zero. The Intoners don't really have regular names, and they are also worshipped by man because they are supposedly are seen as gods. But as Zero. She goes on a killing spree killing her sisters so she can have the kingdom to herself after they have tried to kill her and branded her an infidel or demon of the 5 Intoners. So apparently Zero has been enemies with the current 5 over some dispute for some time and is pissed because they have put out a hit on her. So she pays them a visit at the beginning of the game. Its quickly became one of my favorite games that I enjoy to play. Zero reminds me alot of Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII in many ways. But the only difference is, Zero is a warmonger who enjoys killing people left and right due to her Immortality and seeing mortals only as objects to kill or destroy so that she gets what she wants. Anyways. Good game, good story and its only a Square Enix exclusive just for Playstation 3. Too bad for X-Box 360 gamers. Quote
