I agree. I was so certain that it was imakarum after seeing that move, but now I am swaying towards what somebody else said earlier.. who was it that said that this was merely demonstrating that he was on a par with alky and imakarum?

well that is what it looks more likely right now.

well... we do know that imakarum has under a special procedure... so I still don't think he can be ruled out.

but this is very interesting.

it has re-affirmed his cold and calculating approach, everything is an analysis. like a computer. very odd.

anyway, the things that stuck out to me the most...

he is keenly aware that testuro and mizuki are significant people.

a complete stranger would not know this in my view. sure, an outsider would be aware of zoacrystals. an agent of the creators would have that knowledge right from the offset. but would not know of the significance of these two people.

he collected the solitary zoacrystals, and then went in search of tetsuro and mizuki. specifically. not shizu. not natsuki. not aptom. this person is intrinsically linked to shou.

which convinces me it is imakarum. or very closely related to him.

but does not seem to be imakarum as we have seen him previously. because that guy talked different and would surely have recognised at least something about aptom.

hmm i don't know.

Awesome chapter! But what does Apollon want with Tetsuro and Mizuki? Does he actually have some kind of connection with Sho? Well, lets recap different possibilities:

1) Apollon is either Archanfel or Imakurum.

2) A creation of the Uranus for either a fail safe left on earth or Arbiter sent to earth recently.

3) He is a Uranus being wearing a suit (his face does look a lot like a Uranus being).

4) A lost Zoalord.

5) A possible enemy of the Uranus that wants to harvest the power of the Zoacrystals.

What do you think?

That's why I stopped theorizing about Apollyon's identity. So many theories with so many flaws in them all.

Buuut, I'm gonna break my rule just this once. I think Apollyon is probably is a "Super Zoalord" created by the Creators to replace the "Old Guard" so to speak. Maybe the Advent/Creators/Uranus/whatever found out about the fate of Earth after the ship at Relic's Point reactivated. Since Sho's mind interlinked with the Relic, maybe the Relic and the Creators learned about Chronos, the Zoanoids, Zoalords, etc. After they learned everything, they sent Apollyon to spy on them, collect zoacrystals, and confuse the hell out of the readers about who he/she/it is. It would explain why Apollyon is aware of the Segawas. As for why he's collecting Zoacrystals, perhaps they want to create a new weapon or more "Super Zoalords" with them. This still doesn't explain Archy's power up though, I think Imakarum gave Archy a portion of his newfound power to help delay Archanfel's condition and Takaya did this just to make us think that Imakarum is Apollyon.

I know my theory has some flaws, but oh well. I kinda like it though.

great chapter, i loved the double page spread as Apollon was taking Mizuki and Tetsuro away behind Aptom and also the last 4 pages were very fitting, silent panels the shots odf the graves and a big ariel wide shot of the Guyver crews base up in flames, end of an era and onto the next which is welcome really as now the story is into another gear.

to be honest i dont care if Apollon is a new character because whoever he is and whatever hes doing for whoever, the fact remains that it is shaking the story up bigtime, not that it needed it, but as i said in another topic, if this is how Takaya is threading things together then its fine by me.

i wouldnt say it is approaching lame either way. its enjoyable, so who cares!?! who envisioned Apollon coming into the picture, did anyone imagine that?? someone coming and laying the smack down on the zoalords? im just enjoying this as its WTF moments galore...

The possibilities are many, i think Purgstall's post on the previous page makes sense, but who knows...

Apollon could be affiliated with the rebel Zoalords, why hasnt he gone after them yet?

i do think that the Creators have something to do with it. when he arrived at the mansion and announces himself as '' Apollon - one who returns everything to nothing'' that could be alluding to the fact that before the creators came there was nothing on earth and now they have sent apollon to return it back that way???

if the creators are back -Shou and Cronos pairing up against them?? dont know how i feel about that, Shou and Agito maybe... aagh my head hurts so i'll just stop and enjoy it

just for fun i'll throw this out there - what if Apollon is Agito??

I just noticed something, for a guy who is so stealthy... and arguably robotic, why would he do contradictory things? It could just be the method of Japanese storytelling in lei of Japanese Tokusatsu acting, but, if you think about it he likely isn't a machine as he does seem to have a personality.

Why of all things would he be stealthy, then just stand around and announce his name, and his intentions and desires? Truly methodical, robot like methods wouldn't bother with it. In fact, I don't he's a machine, nor is he being efficient. I say this because if he was truly a robot he'd have little regard for much else, he wouldn't answer questions, make statements, or give out his intentions. He'd take what he wants and leave without a word, this would include battles. In fact, considering his abilities he could easily just pop in and out, and be gone before anyone could react to his abduction of the Mitsuki and Tetsuro. Also, for a guy trying to be stealthy, he didn't even care to kill any Zoalord's despite his hurried nature and previous need for secrecy.

All this leads me to conclude that he is not only not a machine, but indeed sentient. Otherwise he wouldn't be making these sort of mistakes, unless, well unless he wanted all those in Chronos to know who he is.

Another issue here is of course Sho's childhood friends. Why kidnap them unless he needs to lure the Guyver? Before he was going after zoalord's crystals, but now Guyver? That can be anything, though chances are it's to manipulate him... like always. But considering the situation, it could be that he was also saving them, (though doesn't look like it either). It's possible he wants Sho in the game by saving them too and keeping them away from Cronos, his current enemies. But hell, for all we know this guy could simply want them for a simply tea party, become new zoalord's, or some other nonesense.

when it comes to guyver, machine and biology are not so well defined anyway. after all the guyver itself has been called a biomech.

could we use the term automaton? would that be a better descriptor?
