LordSpleach Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Yes, I have a blog now(WARNING: WON'T POST OFTEN). But I'll probably vlog random reviews if I ever get around to getting a webcam. Back onto the topic, I'm a smegging excited right now, cause I just got a e-mail from Bethesda Game Studios that they are interested in interviewing me for a PAID Internship for a QA Tester. I'm just waiting for an e-mail/call back for the time. Hopefully I didn't jinx this by posting this. [emote=monkey]yay[/emote] Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 i look forward to reading wow, so you want to work for bethesda? good luck with that, as I have heard that testing for games is very painstaking and can get really boring. Quote
LordSpleach Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 I'm sure its a lot better than filling jars of spices which is what I'm doing now. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 i guess it depends on your perspective. I never view filling jars as a fun hobby. but games are a fun hobby. and if you do a job that makes you very bored and fed up of playing games you'd ruin a hobby. that is if you play a lot of games, it could potenitally ruin your gaming fun. but that is only what i have heard. positions can entail different kinds of testing. and some positions may be very easy going and fun. i haven't heard of that but it's possible. That's understandable, but I played games and done nothing and screwed around. I'm not the type of person to let one bad experience put me off the rest of my life. I've heard it gets dull, but I am doing this to get into the industry. This is just the first step. I'm just hoping they get me an appointment for the interview soon. *Jess♥ Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 yeah it si a good way to possibly get into hte industry. I was talking to some guys who work for EA and they had a friend who got in that way. Quote
LordSpleach Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 EWWWW. EA! I heard they force people to work 80 hours per week. Quote
LordSpleach Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 I almost made a HUGE mistake today. I forgot my mom's birthday. My dad came up to me and asked if I wished her a happy b-day, and my jaw dropped. [emote=monkey]oops[/emote] Fortunately, I saved the day by getting her a cake from Safeway.[emote=monkey]phew[/emote] Quote
LordSpleach Posted July 2, 2009 Author Posted July 2, 2009 Finally got an e-mail back from Bethesda. They said they'll contact me next week. Figures, but in the e-mail the person I been talking to said she has been travelling. At first I found that weird, but I know she technically works for ZeniMax the parent company, and they just bought id, so I hopeful. Quote
LordSpleach Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 I'm very smegging nervous. I have my interview today. Hopefully, I get the job. Quote
LordSpleach Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 Thank you. I hope they call me and say you're hired. Quote
LordSpleach Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 I think I should do this on my birthday! Quote
LordSpleach Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) I am really pissed off right now. My job with the spices isn't that bad but the person I'm working with has become a real . I wish I'd win the lottery or something, that way I can relax and focus on better things. Edited August 12, 2009 by LordSpleach Quote
LordSpleach Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 YAY! I GOT MY LIBERTUS!! YAYS!! Quote
LordSpleach Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Not having a good day today. Just quit my job cause the other guy I work with was getting too much of a smeghead. Somedays were good, somedays were bad. The job itself wasn't too bad, but I'm just fed up with the other day that I just quit. If i'm lucky, I can get a job at Wal-Mart real quick since my friend works there in management. I know it's Wal-Mart but at least the job is stable and there are actually customers unlike Sears. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 wow that's major. I hope you manage to get another job soon. definitely good luck to you dude!! that guy must have been a real idiot then, if he made you quit! Quote
durendal Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 So what happened with Bethesda? Did they call you back? Quote
LordSpleach Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Yeah, Bethesda decided not to hire me. I got an interview, but no luck. That why I'm in this smegging situation. I decided to go back to the job for money. But I don't how long I'm going to last. If only I win the lottery, then fun can begin. Quote
LordSpleach Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 This has been fan-smegging-tastic weekend! Been hanging with my friend, had a party on Friday and got drunk for the first time, and Saturday night played a game of Risk for NINE HOURS!! Quote
