June 7, 201114 yr I keep jumping from anime to anime for inspiration, I am watching at the moment Darker Than black, it does not have a main plot from what i have seen so far but stand alone stories, the characters are so-so but i am more in it for the powers and how they are portrayed, here is the epic intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ILsMmZG4VM&feature=related you can watch it on funimation if interested.
July 9, 201114 yr Sacred Seven. First episode was pretty decent... But I do so love the opening theme.
July 9, 201114 yr seemed boring at first but then he donned some armour and was fighting some monster looking guy. looks intriguing. I'll try and locate it. edit: no decent group picked it up yet, or at least not that i can tell from anidb. I hope i'll remember to check on this in a week or so.
July 12, 201114 yr Just finished Deadman Wonderland the other day and am now reading the Manga Tiger & Bunny anyone? I got into it a few weeks back and have now caught up - it's quite entertaining and interesting. Reading about the characters on Wiki didn't quite give me the right impression of them, but my brothers and I are hooked! A lot of people find the first episode kind of slow, but it does pick up. I guess the only thing I'm in a twist over is that it's not based on a Manga so I can't read ahead to see what happens [emote=onion]nofair[/emote] Edited July 12, 201114 yr by ErutanXiku
July 12, 201114 yr I've been keeping an eye on tiger and bunny for a while. it does look interesting. I haven't picked it up yet but from what you say about it, I think i will pick it up now. I recently finished watching dragonball Z so now I'm looking for a way to get blue dragon. it seems to be difficult to get them though. lots of dead torrents,k lots of groups that have dropped it or some which only started part way through. it's a bit of a struggle that one.
July 13, 201114 yr well i really like it so far. just got through the first episode. great concept and really thought inspiring. I love the imagination that has gone into it. I get the same feeling that i got from macross plus.
July 13, 201114 yr Author I have Tiger & Bunny on the back burner list of anime that I'm going to watch alongside these other ones. Hidan no Aria Ao no Exorcist Digimon Xros Wars X-Men Also, Matt, nice recommendation with Sacred Seven. I love the OP Theme. Ryuki, there are two groups subbing it so far. One is GG Fansubs which does a pretty decent job at subbing anime. the other is a team up of two groups. They are Kagayaki and Hadena Fansubs. Hadena is in a joint work with Hatsuyuki Fansubs on the series Ao no Exorcist and they do a pretty amazing job on most of their series.
July 13, 201114 yr couldn't find that other one on nyaa. can't be bothered to go tokyo toshokan. GG seem fine. if i really hate their work then I'll look for the other one you recommended.
July 13, 201114 yr Author If you want me to Ryuki, I can send you a PM with all the fansub groups that I follow for different anime series.
July 13, 201114 yr thanks but it's ok I usually check anidb and then i go to nyaa and then tokyo tosho. unless of course you can get me the first series of blue dragon....
July 14, 201114 yr well i really like it so far. just got through the first episode. great concept and really thought inspiring. I love the imagination that has gone into it. I get the same feeling that i got from macross plus. Glad you like it so far - for a moment, I felt like a raving fangirl *shudders* I do like it because of its concept and the characters - I feel it's pretty well thought out, and has a certain amount of 'realism' to it regarding attitudes and development. Regarding your Blue Dragon question...perhaps, I could help? I don't know what your stance on dubs are, but I managed to find it here: http://english-dub.kametsu.com/blue-dragon The first 24 episodes are dual audio, but the rest are only English... Have you tried searching http://www.baka-updates.com - they have a pretty good database of stuff that's been released, but they're not too good at housekeeping because some of the torrents could be dead. They do, however, sometimes have the groups website or IRC address (if they have one) so you can take a look through those, but again, they're not too good at listing whether a group is still active or not.
July 14, 201114 yr I'm scared of IRC. any time i've tried it in the past, it has been full of elite-ists who will ban you as soon as you ask any question. it doesn't help that there aren't really any clear instructions and it's pretty confusing to use. anyhow, THANK YOU SO MUCH for that link. it was epsodes up to number 24 that I was having most difficulty getting hold of! after eps 24, there are some better availability. hopefully i can watch this now
July 21, 201114 yr Currently watching Fairy Tail, cool anime and the comedy is very random, if you like shonen series you should give this one a shoot since its very entertaining, its about Wizards in Guilds battling other guilds or doing jobs pretty cool concept, the action scenes are awesome and almost all the characters are Likeable.
July 21, 201114 yr somebody recommended that to me in the past. I never got round to it. I watched first episode of sacred seven. don't like it. it's a little depressing. tiger and bunny is good. blue dragon, got it all up to 38, thanks EX. watched 3 eps. like it.
July 22, 201114 yr Now I'm watching: One Piece Kaiji 2 Gintama 2 Naruto Shippuuden Beelzebub Fairy Tail Bleach Also randomly picked up Puella Magi Madoka Magica, now on 9-th episode.
August 3, 201114 yr I read through bleach a while back, wanst that impressed. i liked the series until the Arrancar arc, then i got bored with it. Now its just too much for me. But today i just started watching Zoids. For nostalgic purposes. I used to love the models as a kid, and the show was fun too, so i thought id give it another go round.
September 18, 201114 yr finished watching Kenichi : The Mightiest disciple , the story is about a weak kid that got tired of being pushed around and being called a coward and by fate a girl that he likes called Miu recommends him to go to a dojo that she lives in once there he is being trained by different Masters at the same time these masters are: Akisame KÅetsuji - AKA the legendary philosopher martial artist - Kenichis first master and the one who invents a lot of ways to improve kenichis psychical abilities in the most painful ways, he also has an awesome mustache. Fighting Style: Aikijujitsu Ma Kensei - chinese master and lecher nuff said, he and kenichi do a lot of crazy things together. Fighting Style: All Chinese Martial arts Shigure KÅsaka - aka the child prodigy of weapons - the only female master of the group, she has a bit of trouble to express her emotions and talks a bit weird, she is still awesome tho. fighting style: weapons Apachai Hopachai - Aka the death god of Muay Thai underworld fighting circuit - My favorite master of them all, Apachai is actually like a little kid and gets excited easily, despite his appearance he is actually good around kids and animals, he does not know how to control his strength tho and results in him almost killing keinichi in many hilarious ways . Fighting style: Muay Thai and Muay Boran Shio Sakaki - Likes to drink a lot and looks intimidating but is actually good at heart. Fighting Style: Karate Hayato Furinjin - aka the Invincible Superman - Miu's Grandfather and the elder of the Masters probably the strongest out of all of them. Fighting style: unkown here is the opening video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yrwftxLrls&feature=related Edited September 18, 201114 yr by odin
September 19, 201114 yr The Kenichi anime ended abruptly and didn't even reach the Yomi arc. The series was cool, but I was hoping that they would animate the Yomi arc.
September 19, 201114 yr yea me too, but until then i will just continue reading the manga which is pretty cool although the is an aweful lot of fan service compared to the anime.
December 10, 201114 yr Now watching: C - The Money of Soul and Possibility Control and Nurarihyon No Mago. Finished Detroit Metal City
December 11, 201114 yr Currently watching Toriko and One Piece, not much else has caught my interest lately.
December 11, 201114 yr I am simply watching gintama. (like up to episode 20) I don't have anything else on my plate currently since hunter x hunter is still airing. I will watch that when i get much further in gintama, but i also am catching up on kamen rider fourze. so i won't watch anything other than gintama for a good long while.
December 16, 201114 yr I accidentally stumbled upon Beelzebub on Animax. I have to say, it has a lot of LOL moments. It's story is about a high school delinquent tasked to take care of the Demon King's baby. Very funny and a lot of humorous violence. And because of the single episode I saw on Animax, I'm now currently reading the manga and just finished chapter 63. Fairy Tail also has a lot of potential. I've heard good stuff about it. There are also a lot of potentially good anime being shown on animax.
December 16, 201114 yr i started watching it and recommended it to my friend at the same time. I stopped watching it because it hated the feel of it... felt too much like a naruto clone and not enough originality for me. my mate loved it and has watched all of it. i find it interesting that my mate is not a naruto fan. since you are a naruto fan, I imagine there is a good chance you will not like it. that's my deduction but of course you could easily prove me wrong.
January 18, 201214 yr Well I finished Char's counter attack a long time ago and have watched stuff along time ago too just never posted it-so heres to update. THe last animes i've finished were: Spice and Wolf This show was very interesting to me-I enjoyed it very much though it was a bit odd. Regardless I look forward to watching its second season. Kaze no Stigma This one was a bit of a let down. It had great potential but ultimately it crumbled in on it self. Atleast for me apparently many people like it myself, I want my money back lol Chrono Crusade This was really a unique one for me. It reminded me alot of Hellsing. It was a nice show to watch just sometimes creators of stories cross fantasy with biblical stuff gotta be careful as to not confuse people hehe. Regardless I liked it alot enjoyed this show very much Utawarerumono Deffinately a must see. This one reminded me alot of Fire Emblem. A great storyline awesome action and great character development. Its more of a feudal Japan style but those are my favorites anyways. Encourage you to give this one a go =) Record of Lodoss War one of my new favorites. I've said it before I'll say it again-the older animes seem to be the best. The animation was amazing I love that style. Awesome story great balance of character powers. And VA=amazing!!! This one is a MUST see. (This was actually my 30th show I wanted it to be a special anime so originally Outlaw Star was going to be my 30th but now that'll be a later one) =)
