Lyphforse_Guyver Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Anybody have any background info on this poster, seen it before? I don't think its an "official" piece, signed by Ruykon. I got it about a year ago, like it a lot. Quote
RazorLaser Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 That is an awesome poster!!! I gotta get a Guyver poster but it's so hard to find stuff in Australia and I don't have paypal for ebay... Grr. Quote

Geist009! Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Oh man http://www.japan-legend.com/forum/index.ph...ost&id=2798 http://www.japan-legend.com/forum/index.ph...ost&id=1922 Jesus. Does anyone knows where I can find the Guyver doujin? Or do I have to wish that I was born in the 80's Quote
Archangel Ashes Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Unfortunately I don have many Guyver related paraphernalia. The most I have is this bitchin Zx-Tole figure I got from Otakon 08 for 25 bucks (It blew my mind it was so cheap!). I have an Aptom figure and the 80's Guyver series dvd 1 that funny enough is in the dvd 2 case. Quote
.:P:. Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 WOW!!! Awesome thread & amazing collections, some of those are really impressive!!! I'll put some pics of mine soon!! Quote
BoomerBane Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Hey guys I know this may be a bit off topic but does anybody know of a real sturdy Guyver figure? Quote
Guest rodder2008 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 GUYVER 2 AKA DARK HERO - impatience prompted me to buy the us version before the remastered version was released here! is it me or does it last for ages!!??!! I'm curious about R2 "Dark Hero (Special Extended Version)". It's the same 2-hour uncut as in R1? They cropped it to widescreen or it's totally untouched full frame? BTW, anoyone have Guyver Messenger Bags? I wonder how it looks from inside (can't find detailed photos anywhere). Quote

All feature films are shot in widescreen and then they simply stretch or crop them to fit on a standard 4:3 ratio TV. Not the otherway round. As most TV's are widescreen now, what's the point in continuing this trend? If my Live action guyver-fu is strong, the special UK DVD is the same as the US release but without remastered picture. The sound is okay, but the video looks slightly grainy and a bit narly. Quote
Guest rodder2008 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 (edited) "Untouched" full frame is an erronious concept. No, it isn't. All feature films are shot in widescreen and then they simply stretch or crop them to fit on a standard 4:3 ratio TV. Not the otherway round. You ever heard of open matte? As most TV's are widescreen now, what's the point in continuing this trend? B'cuz in that case the movie meant to be 4:3, even though IMDB say otherwise. Here, left to right: uncut VHS (4:3) - cut R2 (4:3) - uncut R1 (16x9). I have few more lines of comparison if somebody cares. I'm not trying to argue with you or anything, I'm just explaining my point. So if uncut R2 edition have that same cropped picture it's not worth hunting for imo. Though, it have cool cover comperaed to R1s. If my Live action guyver-fu is strong, the special UK DVD is the same as the US release but without remastered picture. The sound is okay, but the video looks slightly grainy and a bit narly. I wouldn't call R1 very clean either, even if it was (and was it?) remastered. Oops, I derailed topic again. Sorry, I just didn't want to make new topic for every single question I can come up with. Edited June 29, 2010 by rodder2008 Quote
