As a little something for Halloween I decided to talk about who I feel was the ultimate slasher. Now I know what your thinking, Jason Voorhees. He by far the most popular and has the highest body count. But I feel that body count dose not really as big a badge of honour as some think. Many slashers primary targets are teens, young adults with little or no skills that would allow them to deal with such an encounter which is mad even more unfair by the many advantages the killer has over them. Ok so I just got back from seeing this latest adpation of the Stephen King's novel. Befor I go any further I give the obligitory spoiler warrnings, as I wil be talking about both the film and its ties to the novel. However I will try not to give to much away at the same time. I had watched the mini series once and only read the novel this years so I am relitively detached from most of King's works bare some of the movie adaptions now and then over the years. So Netflix's Castlevania "anime" has been released... And at 4 episodes long, it's more of a "What do you guys think...?" test, rather than a full season 1. Probably why "season 2" has already been approved and is 8 episodes... In order to add up to 12 for a proper season 1. And yes, since season "2" has already been announced, you can guess that, yes, it is pretty awesome. Reminds me a bit of Attack on Titan in that it is very medieval, and not afraid to show gore... Ok so with the Friday the 13th game coming out next week I'd like to talk a little bit the worlds most recognizable slasher Jason Voorhees. Netflix is developing a prequel series to Jim Henson's 1982 fantasy film, The Dark Crystal. Titled The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, this 10-episode prequel series takes place many years before the film and follows the story of three Gelfling who, after discovering the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, set out on a journey to save the world of Thra. The show will feature creatures created by Brian Froud, the original film's creature designer, and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Now, this image is clearly not the finished product being used in the movie, and I bet the final Jaeger designs will be slightly more bulky looking... But the designs themselves aren't too bad. *Edit* other people have noted that the mecha on the right looks to be made of spare parts from Jaegers from the first movie... Looks like the legs of Crimson Typhoon, some of the torso of Cherno Alpha... and that one arm looks suspiciously like Gypsy Dangers...
