Welcome to another session of the Japanese Word of the Week. This week we will be learning about the word "naru" [なる]. "Naru" literally means "to become", and is usually connected to the end of a noun to denote becoming that noun. example "Pairoto ni naru" or "become a pilot". [パイロト になる] There are other form of the word "naru" depending on how you use them. "Narimasu" is "will become", ie: "Isha ni narimasu" [医者になります](Become a doctor) "Narimashita" = became, ie: "Kyoushi wo narimashita" [教師になりました](Became a teacher) "Naritai" = want to be, ie: "Onna ni naritai" [女になりたい](Want to be a woman). This is getting a little difficult to feature as future subject will require readers to have basic knowledge of Japanese. Should we feature a kanji of the week instead?

A bear, a lion and a chicken were talking, who's the most feared? Bear: I roar and forest trembles. Lion: I roar and the jungle shakes. Chicken: I cough and the whole world panics.

The part about feeding energy to the baby gives me shudders at the outcome of the baby. If that happens, then you would be having a mutant baby that can cry particle beams. Obviously this is a joke and has nothing to do with the discussion. But really, we can't predict what the unit can do unless we are the author of it. Also, knowing what the Guyver unit is, would the mother really risk bio-boosting while pregnant? But before all this technical data about the Guyver, I used to believe that it's just a piece of armor that covers the flesh, and not some bio weapon that changes your insides. But before we dwelve further in to the details of this, would a recent injury be removed if the host bio-boosts then de-boosts? Once we have this established I think we will be able to determine as to what will happen to the baby.

Aye, it's next week already. I've seen the preview of Gundam 00 unit from plastic models currently available on toy stores. Looks very impressive.

Actually, there is a point to that. Since the baby would be a hindrance during combact, a weak point actually, and the armor might take that to the boost dimension. But I wonder how the organs are stored. Are they in suspended animation? If that is so, then that would mean if the female stayed in Guyver form for a very long time, the lenght of the pregnancy would exceed the usual nine months.

Well, good point. The control metal does seem to have some work around it. And even if Mr. Takaya would not like to tackle the issue, there are still discussions bound to surface from this. Beside, since there is already a female guyver, I'm sure many "otakus" would like to make a H doujin about this.

But then, we had this debate about the internal organs regressing in the old Guyver board. If the female Guyver is pregnant, what would the effect be on the fetus when she bio-boosts? There are developmental stages in pregnancy, and how would the boost armor react so such developments? Would the control metal recognize this as part of the body or would the armor reject this and reset the body of the female guyver? And could the boost armor save miscarriages?

Uh.... so.... anybody read a recent chapter of Berserk lately? I don't think I've seen a new chapter for a while now. Anybody know whats been happening?

That may hold true if the girl feels a neutrality towards you. Perseverance however is a double edged sword. If you are successful, the girl may see something in you that she has not found before, but if you try to do it in the wrong way, then, the girl will construe your annoyance as stalking and would hate you even more.
