i think sho needs to find a way to allow the unit to fight in defensive auto pilot mode all the time. since it seems to be able to kill all enemies presented without breaking a sweat whenever sho isn't conscious

they are very scarce, and expensive now if you ever find them, i don't think they made many of the bfw sets to begin with.(well, not as many as the guyvers)although, would still be easier to find than 'lunk' from robotech. you already know mandarake, also try ebay and amazon(a set seems to pop up on ebay between every 4-6months or so), plus alot of google searches. i think theres a vamore&panadyne set on ebay now for around $300or best offer. theres also acouple different sets on amazon, but the sellers' asking $800!!!!!!! also, post an ad here in the classifieds, thanks for your reply by the way

yep, second vanmore looks the best, its almost the same shade as the bfw figure, great work odin. i think if you ever decide to do a zerbebuth, that redish shade would compliment him well.

i think you've nailed gregole with v2, he was always big and broad in the shoulders and chest. maybe try a pale brown with vamore, see how that looks?

here's something for all the godzilla fan's, will be released soon, 30cm tall space godzilla. photo's of prototype only just found it afew weeks ago and figured i might buy one for my brother's birthday, he's crazy over godzilla. was going to put this in the figures thread and then stopped, and thought, hang on a sec, its freak'n godzilla!

very revealling chapter, i wonder if takaya sensei will show at what earthly human lengths she went through to acheive her position or leave it to our imagination! definately shows how strong willed and determined she really is, i can honestly see this story going over to the darkside and finally the death of sho, the demise of the resistance and chronos acheiving their goals and final destiny. a fabulous dramatic end in true japanese fashion instead of the typical happy ending. its a nice thought but its anyone's guess, she can do a complete turn around as aptom has and actually fight side by side with sho against chronos............. whats going to happen!......whats going to happen!LOL. many thanks to cannibal and all the silent workers for this chapters translation.

thanks matt, never picked up a comic book of xmen, only the tv anime and even though i have the box set of dvds sitting on my shelf, haven't had a chance to sit down and rewatch the series so its still wrapped in plastic. its alittle difficult for me to recall specific things from 25+ years ago. especially since i continued to have all those foriegn substances enter my body 4nights a week 20+years ago, but that all stopped 15+years ago, so most of my memory is short blast pixellated flashbacks, hhehehe.

saw this acouple of days ago, wasn't too bad, i liked it even from being an original fan from the 80's. although had doubts about the robot scene in it, reminded me too much of the chromed robot in thor. i'm sure they could of come up with something better. anyone else's thoughts on this and the movie? oh,yea, being a marvel movie, everyone knows to stay till the end of the credits? i found it very interesting and got me excited and thinking about the next movie.

i guess it was more of cardbord filler than an advert, was packaged with vol2 to keep it from flopping around in the case. had a photo of guyver one side, set contents and brief intro on the other. it had advert for gantz and elfen lied on other sides.

i'm hoping it'll happen sooner than 100years,lol, still got all my fingers crossed in the hope that guyver will become mainstream again sometime soon.

will be framing all of them eventually, so thats all 1st & 3rd editions, so yeah, it'll take some time. like i said, i think its agreat storage idea too in keeping them mint. will post photos when done, however long it'll take have you still kept the advertisement devider that came with vol2 book case?

thanks for the comments guys. apparently, these 2mil mylar sleeves are all the rage with uv protection and ten times more durable than previous regular sleeves and with 1/3 the strength of steel! i have two sets of these comics, so figured i'd display the crappy ones which i suppose are still in good condition and continue to keep the better set in storage. figured making frames for all of them would even be a good storage idea in keeping them flat and clean. depending on the size of frame(the first edition tanks are smaller than the 3rd edition tanks so could probably use the smaller frames available) cost per frame including foam would be between $12-$18.(approx difference between the smaller and larger frames.) definitly worth it in my opinion.

well, it came time to replace the sleeves i have my comic books in since i took delivery of some new mylar sleeves. and for a long time been thinking about making a display/frame to show off these guyver comics on a wall or shelf somewhere. everyone knows these tanks are pretty thick and the norm i've found has been to make or buy a clear perspex case. which i probably would of done if ikea didn't open a store in my state just a couple of years ago and found these picture frames that they sell. just measure and cut out the diplay border to fit. add and cut some closed cell foam which is moisture resistant for surround and rear support. and thats it! hang on a wall or place upright on a shelf. (thats one done, afew more to go!)
