  1. Must be an an interesting war. I mean, they spent billions of years just making weapons and never even put them into action. Billions of years our time. They might go by a different time system than we do. Our eons could be a few decades to them.
  2. Nice and stormy...perfect for sleeping.

  3. Thanks! I'm sure they will. Blog: We had our first Nerd Club meeting here on campus, and we've got A LOT of new faces this year! Usually we don't get that many freshmen to attend, but this time around there were at least ten in attendance. Hopefully we can keep the numbers up because this is the most amount of freshmen to attend in the history of the club. We also watched two episodes of Fairy Tail; that's a really good anime for all ages.
  4. Cheers! I'm glad it got it's goal so fast! At least it will be stalled again (I don't see those old farts abandoning it altogether yet).
  5. I've finished my first custom order on Etsy! It's not the best picture, but basically it's a modified version of some yoga socks I have in my shop. A lady wanted this for her 4 year old with casts asked me to add a heel and try to make it to where it would fit over said casts. She didn't have any method of measuring the kid's foot, so this was a lot of guess work (and referencing a foot chart in a sock book) and I added a draw string system to make one end tighter if needed. I hope these will fit the kid [emote=monkey]yay[/emote]
  6. 11,000 more signature to go! Texas is already making their own currency and backing it with gold. I think civil war will break out much sooner than a few years with Texas and a number of the southern states ready to break from the nation.
  7. I was wondering if this would happen. Considering that Woferdanos was a plant creature of sorts, I wondered if it was possible to 'regrow' him with a part of him that was still alive.
  8. I wasn't sure where to put this, but it HAD to be posted somewhere since this law Congress is trying to pass will affect this site. SOPA is a revised version of the Online Privacy Act that the United States Congress tried to pass back in 2011, only this time the forefront of the law is centered on fan-made postings (fanart, fanfiction, fanvids, etc.). If you are caught with such things and found guilty, you could be sent to prison for years under felony charges, even if you are not making a profit from said works. There is a petition to stop this, and it needs a total of 100,000 signatures. So far there are over 20,000 signatures. I have already signed it. My fan buddies: SIGN IT! Let's stop these old farts on Capital Hill from wrongfully convicting artists and fans for showing their love of a series on the internet! petitions.whitehouse.gov/petit…
  9. I'm actually working with an organic cotton blend for this project (no harsh chemical treatments, so it'll be safe for babies that love to suck on things). Still, the cost of this project is adding up to a jaw dropping amount. You used to knit? Cool!
  10. Yeah, it is cool until you run out of yarn I got up to 9 inches in length before I ran out.
  11. Cabin fever is where you're stuck in the house for days on end and build up too much energy from not going outside. My state, Arkansas, has a lot of family run shops in every town/city since we're mostly a farming state. Not much civilization in between the towns really You never know what you'll find in each town since the big chain names are in the big cities where the colleges and business are. I know I'm going back to that yarn shop in the near future; the yarn I bought there is currently being used in a baby blanket project
  12. Well, what we planned on first was visiting a few stores we looked up that were related to our interests (me: yarn and anime; dad: trains and bikes), and we attempted to find each store in the areas we visited. That idea somewhat fell through with a number of the places being shut down and us finding little store the piped our interest, so this was more of a spur of the moment sort of trip. One town had a number of shops that would be a great place to find Christmas gifts. It's certainly worth a try if your up for a day trip and got a case of Cabin Fever.
  13. Went road tripping with my dad today. We hit several towns and went shopping before school starts up, and we had fun! We mainly hit the small shops, then hit the largest Harley-Davidson dealership in Arkansas, and lastly stopped at a little yarn store that had a crap load of natural yarns that cannot be found in the big brand stores like Hobby Lobby. I found some stuff to decorate my dorm room with (my dormmates are going to call me the resident hippie when they see one particular thing I found), some new clothes, and some damn good yarn from our last stop for the day. Dad got some T-shirts from the Harley-Davidson store, so we were both happy by the end of the trip
  14. I don't think any package I've received before has ever smelled like Fruit Loops I got some handmade clothes in from Thailand yesterday and when I opened up the package I smelled something fruity coming from the clothes. I guess it's something in the dye they used while making the clothes? P.S. For those who don't know what Fruit Loops are: they're a very popular kids cereal here in the US that tastes fruity.
  15. Done. It's in the General 'whatever' section I'm lucky to be working with theses guys; this'll help out once I start looking for a job with manga companies or something similar.
  16. Hey guys! I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I got a summer internship for a new American manga company that's just starting to work on their first story. They're called Rock Steady, and their story is also called Rock Steady. My job right now is to get the word out about the project and help build an audience for Rock Steady, and also help them find a manga artist that is willing to work for free (time will be compensated though). I have read part of the story thus far, and IMO I think it's got potential to be a good manga. I would like to get some feed back on this, too. The guys that started this would really appreciate knowing their project is getting attention.

  18. I can't believe I'm saying this but: I MISS COLLEGE!!!! I'm tired of working out in the factory; tired of not being able to upload art onto devianArt because my numbskull cousin maxed out our internet via YouTube; tired of my meemaw hounding my rear on my career path; I WANNA GO BACK ALREADY!

    Hello!

Hello, and welcome to JP! You've just proven beyond a doubt you're an all out Guyver fan. Holy flippin' cow! Where did you find those? They're awesome!
  20. Saw it yesterday, and loved it! Not too deep of a story line, not too much romance (in fact, the romance is pushed back to the background a bit IMO), plenty of comedy that naturally falls into place, and fantastic fight scenes. The explanation for the Kaijuu invading is left to be desired, along with some of the science in the movie. The Yeager's needing two pilots I can probably understand, but the Kaijuu just deciding to invade Earth for whatever reason and somehow all of them being clones while at the same time be totally different doesn't make much sense. I can see where you guys can deduce that this was influenced by EVA, but I thought this was based on something else. I'll have to look and find out; this seems a little too Westernized to be entirely EVA based.
  21. Just got a job working temporary at my dad's company for the summer. I started today, and Lord have mercy I'm TIRED! Oh well, it'll help with college expenses...zzzzzZzzzz
  22. I'm curious as to what brought Val's mom to Lisker's dad's place in the first place. Mistress? Second marriage? That might be because Guyot was the youngest of the Zoalords at the time and hadn't been as heard hearted at the rest of the Council yet.
  23. Looking back on my previous post on here....I have to wonder how I keep getting my compass directions mixed up I'm going with best of siblings. I don't think Takaya would go into that territory.
  24. Kinda refreshing seeing a backstory not related to the Advents or the Guyvers. Rather surprising Mr. Takaya has paid so much attention to details like this. As for the mansion, since Lisker's dad was a Senator and comes from a wealthy family, I'm not surprised it's a plantation styled home. I guess we can rule out most of the east coast of North America as for where Lisker came from. Maybe west or southwest where most American plantations were located?
  25. Saw this the other day, and I have to say: I loved it! I did see plenty of dry humor (though most people wouldn't catch it at first unless you live in a family where dry humor is present everyday). My favorite part was at the end where Supes confronts that military guy about trying to find out who he is. I didn't catch the religious implications in it though. I mean, sure Clark goes to a church to hear what he already knows is the best course of action from a priest, but other than that I didn't see that much religious stuff.
