In 1997, I was 11 at the time and my mother and I went to my favorite movie rental place "Hit List" and I was going through my sci-fi monster movies and Power Rangers phase, so when I saw the cover for Guyver 2: Dark Hero(As it orignally was called at the time) I immediately picked it up and read the summary on the back and was captivated. But since it was the second movie I decided to grab the first movie as well and watched the both of them and I was hooked. Then about a year later I went to Suncoast videos and went to their anime section and noticed the 12 part OVA. I immediately grabbed the first one and watched it the moment I got home. From that moment I, every bit of allowance I got I put it towards completing my collection. Shortly after I noticed the mangas that were released by VIZ and it took me a few years, but I finally completed that as well. Thats pretty much it for how I started.

I guess The Guyver movie is finally making its Blue ray debut. Might be a buy. Check out the link: http://www.dvd-forum.at/news-details/47121-dvd-blu-ray-die-ersten-screenshots-der-platinum-cult-edition-von-guyver

I kinda have to agree with Super Existence. Three months, and this is all we get? I do hope it picks up...

It's difficult to discern whether or not the human was in control or if the unit was in SM. On one hand the actions Guyver0 took does fit in to what a Guyver in SM would do, but on the other hand the Uranus were trying to give the command to the human to remove the armor like the human was in control/concious. Here is another thing to consider; lets just say Guyver0 was in SM and when the order was given to be removed maybe when the unit "heard" the command, it misinterpreted it and thought the Uranus were telling the human to actually get rid of the unit instead of just disengaging. So the Unit acted out on survival instinct and not of battle.

Love to see some fanart of that!

Plus Skynet may start pumping out Terminators similar to Zoanoids in terms of strength. Can you imagine a Terminator Gregole?

Well how about this; we all vote on what heroes/villians (That are the most well known) that we want to see thrown into the Guyver Universe that won't be very OP or UP?

Thank you that is part of the problem! There is NO consistancy in the Marvel or DC Universes. If someone is really wanting to find out what would happen if the two universes intersected than you have to choose which story arc of the series or of that character and stick with that. You just can't say Hulk because people are going to throw whichever Hulk they perceive instead of the one being percieved from the original source. Please state clearly which version of Hulk. Please don't mistake this post as a rant or me yelling and being a douche because I'm not trying to be. I just think without specifying, we're going to end up just chasing our tails here.

I think a big problem here is that there is no concret information on the physical capabilities on the heroes/villians of the Marvel universe and of the Guyver Universe. Before moving on with this conversation I think it would be best to decide which heroes to compare to the Guyver universe and then decide which era/arc do we believe would be the best "fit". Same thing for the Zoanoids and Guyvers, do we just want to base things that have been written on the datafiles which I believe have remained more or less consistant (correct me if I'm wrong). Example: Lets take the Hulk; obviously no one Zoanoid is going to match the Hulk unless we go way back in the day. But today's Hulk can easily take on a couple if not more legions of Zoanoids without breaking a sweat. Whereas Spider-Man; can take on maybe just one legion or a little less with little difficulty. This is nothing definitive and I am just using my own perspective on this and of course like anything else I can be wrong (most likely am), but the point is to come to some agreed upon measurment of physical abilities. So here is a start, lets go from here.

You'll also have to take into consideration how much of a "power-bump" Chronos will receive or "power-drop" MU will lose, depending on which universe crosses over to which. If Chronos goes over to the Marvel Universe you know something stupid like a Gregole will be on equal strength terms with Thor or Hulk. If Marvel seeps into the Guyver universe the heroes will most likely be dumbed down to the point where they face an "overwhelming" enemy and would "need" the help of the Guyvers. Either way, even though I would still like to see this happen, someone is going to FUBAR somewhere, where either fans of the Marvel side are displeased or fans of the Guyver or displeased.

What about something that focuses on the site like "Armoured Legends" followed by a collage of armoured figures such as Guyver, Kamen Rider, Tekkaman, etc.

Same here. Have it reserved!

Is it just me, or is that the same tragic end for any spider?

I know it will never happen, but think about Aptom trying to fit into "normal" society as someone that works an everyday job like the DMV or gym teacher...Yeah he would be fired within the first hour. Sorry just find some humor in that.
-
A think a normal life the crew is something that they will most likely never experience. This is a, lack for better word; experience that even after they've completed what they've set out to do they won't be able to just walk away from it. Like Chernaudi had said, they will probably be spending the majority of their time rebuilding/reshaping society and possibly wiping out Chronos loyalist. After that it will just be something as simple as ruling the world and maintenence.

That would make sense. Then the next thing would be, does the Guyver understand memories? I'm just thinking that after Sho first returns with the Gigantic and defeats Neo-Zxtol; he is unconcious, but the unit removes itself entirely and leaves Sho with his friends/allies. Has the Guyver come to recognize that these people don't mean any harm to the host? I mean, I don't think the Guyver would normally just remove itself unless "commanded" to by the host?
-
Now that's cool
-
I was wondering how does the control medal restore its host's memories? I mean twice, Sho has been completely obliterated except for the CM and during his fight with his father(Enzyme II) who had ripped Sho's head apart; how would the Guyver restore memory? Would it be because the CM is directly connected to the brain and is able to log those memories? The reason I ask is that I just recently re-watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine; and at the end when he is shot in the head and his body regenerates the damage, but not his memory.

I don't think the Creators disbanded the Guyver technology because they relied on the Unit to control other aspects of their technology(i.e. their ships). However, its hard to say how they would even improve on the unit considering the unit itself is just a "blank slate" until it merges with a sentient being. Plus it seems that the Unit is very volatile in the sense that it can be very difficult to control and manipulate and as a result is unpredictable. I think the fact that they were able to achieve what they already have with the units is remarkable even by their standards. The only thing I can think of is that they either improved the control metal itself or perhaps tried to create a control metal that didn't free its host from the telepathic commands of the Creators.

I remember one iteration that Hank Pym (Ant Man) and Tony Stark worked together to create Ultron and that at one time they had several. They're intended use was jailers of sorts for the super villains. However, when Hank was forced to start using Ultron as a weapon and introduced violence to Ultron's programming that is when things started going downhill. Ultron's primary at the time was to defend humanity, but then his logic twisted and he came to the decision that the only way to truly protect humanity is to destroy it.

Actually if I remember correctly, Takaya based the color scheme off of the color of auras. The pale blue that is Guyver 1 usually represents indecisiveness/neutrality, gold or yellow that is Guyver 2 I think represents divinity; like he was actually comparing himself to something akin to a god, and Guyver 3's black/dark purple I believe represents malice. Guyver Gigantic was an error, but it could work in the sense that Sho is thinking the Gigantic to be some sort of divine power whereas Gigantic Dark just further represents Agito's malice. Finally the red for Gigantic XD represents just raw power.
