Hybrid Heaven for the Nintendo 64
"Hybrid Heaven (ãƒã‚¤ãƒ–リッドヘヴン Haiburiddo Hevun?) is a video game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Osaka and released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. This game is most notable for its peculiar mix of genres: it has aspects of both role-playing video games and action-adventure games. The designers had hoped to create a "new style RPG battle system".[1] It is also one of the few Nintendo 64 titles to support a widescreen mode." Definitely an underrated hidden gem in my opinion. Basically starts with a conspiracy to kidnap the President and goes deeper from there. Has the best graphics I've seen on the system(obviously needs the expansion pack), and interesting 'active-time' based fighting system. In short, you and your opponent manuever around each other and when your battle gauge if full you access your move set to begin attacking, countering, grappling, etc.
Has a third person perspective when moving about the map (think Skies of Arcadia), and you have a laser pistol for annoying overworld map robots and traps.
I recommend playing it at least once..
