yeah, I admit it, the animation for the old series was way better, though I like the manga's new look for the characters, it's totaly different with the anime. It's been odd and choppy from the start, but they really did translate some awesome scenes from the manga, such as Orochimaru vs Naruto. The animation as pretty good, just not as high up as the old one unfortunately. I just don't understand why the changed so much of the staff from the previous incarnation.

Believe it or not, there are far worse. anf the funniesto ne of all... (Sorry couldn't find it with the original captions.)

gotta love how strange comic books can be.

ahh, a tv classic. Just 6 months ago a zoo handler was killed because he decided to get too friendly with the tigers. really now, people must learn to follow safety rules.

well it's a genra that has been repeatable used year after year. Remember what happened to star trek, they had a continued numer of series with no break for over 2 decades. In the end we all needed a break, when they brought it back, it was better then ever. What they need is a year haitus on all takatsu series in order to reflect on what they should do with a series. A lot of the same happened with Anime, because of all the cloned themes in verious manga. What they ended up doing was going for the weirder niche manga, it payed off and it's ow we got shows like One Piece and Naruto out here.

166 is the one I watched. i didn't download it, I watched it via website.

Well just watched the newest episode. I have to say, they really built it up way better in every possible way then it was in the manga. In the manga, you didn't feel much of anything, just slightly pissed. Here, you really get some emotion. To date this is probably 2 second best episode after Jiraiya's sacrifice.

Damn... we created a Naruto monster. Rewatching lal the episodes. Sounds awesome though. I guess that is one way to keep yourself busy between episode updates and helps soak in some of the lesser noticed plot points. I still wish you try out a few more anime.

ineed, dbz became a monster of a hit to fans despite the shody treatment it had in the US. I'm currently watching venture bros from start to current. I have to say, it's not an anime and the first season is rather lackluster in plot, but damn is it funny.

Yeah Dragon Ball is a bit shallow, it wasn't until Dragon Ball Z came out that it got a bit more emotional. Still ways off from other series. It was mostly over the top as usual. Still it has it's appeal as an anime you can enjoy without having to think much.

Got another one that came to mind. Hajime no Ippo. It's a fairly old one by some 5 years I think. It's about boxing, but it's done in a way that is neither over the top nor boring for an anime. Test out a few clips on youtube if you'd like. But they usualy don't show the incredibly fun humor and lovable plot, just the fights for the most part.

Well there was one other series I really enjoyed that can fill in your little gap is Betterman. It's an old anime by almost a decade, but it's animation is pretty good, and it's still got a very likable combination of Tokusatsu/Guyver and Evangelion. it has it's share of Techno-babble like Guyver including a protaganist who can morph into various giant monsters to lay waste to other monsters while humans piloting machines to unravel the mystery oftheir origin are constantly in the mix.

Oh, Zone of Enders! I keep hearing great things about that one. Thanks for the reminder. Ryuki, keep that one in mind too. It's very un-stereotypical with it's lead character.

yes, it's probably the best one. They announced a new movie Naruto get's sucked back in time some 20 years, and now he gets to fight alongside his dad in that time period. A little weird concept for a movie plot.

oh Dragon Ball is awesome. IMO it's better then later DBZ and the silly GT. Oh I jsut thought of another awesome anime. Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. It was such a funny anime... god it made fun of everythign it could in the short span it run. so much so, that I still crack up at the site of certain japanese meia because of those spoofs. It even spoofed Back to the Future.

oh it's a nice start. you'll gradualy get the hang of adjusting all the shapes. Then you can work on the textures.

glad to hear, just bare with the first espide, by the second one it blows up into something incredibly intresting.
-
oh it starts off in the first episode a depressed not, but it gets more and more halirious as the absurd real life habits of Otaku begin to take hold in his life. Trust me, it's much more then it sounds. The characters keeps getting into depressing situations, but in just ends up being comical for viewers.

Some fans... actually a good number of them have complained about the animation. I'm not an animation fanatic so i don't really care too much. But I can tell there was a fair drop in quality from the old series. However, the fight scenes animation is finally beginning to catch up to the old series fight scenes. A while back I used to mention how bad the animated form was compared to the manga. I have no problems following ithe manga like you Ryuki, I guess it's because I've been reading it from the start. Oh and Konohamaru's friends were in the original manga. Now the series has finnaly fixed it's pacing and some of the animation. I have to say it's now on the verge of surpassing the manga (In my tastes) but just not their yet. I think lately the manga too has started to get a little more rushed. I don't know what happened but there used to be a lot more detail put into the battles and training, some of it has been shortened from the looks of it. I guess he figures "The anime will fill in the gaps for me later." Meh...

I've said this many times before Ryuki. Go watch Welcome to NHK. It's not an action anime. But it's incredibly funny.

There are several people Chronos has targeted. High Level Government officials and positions are usually targeted. Chronos either implants an agent in there, or kidnaps one and forces him through the zoaforming process (they could use the "You desert us you die without processing) to force them into service. Poeple's investigation of Chronos secrets usually end up as test types. Police and military are usually subject as well for the same reason as government. News Agencies are used as well like Government and Security forces for information control. Entire towns and villages are converted, then have their minds wiped. This seems to be the basis of their hidden X-Day army. They planned to take over the world with an army, but there was probably no feasible way to make a huge army with ever member as a loyal chronos grunt. So this became a valuable weapons stockpile, I'm sure chronos sees it as such. Later after X-Day there wasn't as much of a need for this since publicly Zoanoids are now recruited through the open populace via propaganda. I'm certain however they still have yet more communities like this. Random kidnapped folks. Ryuki's theory, makes sense. Though it sounds a bit weird telling people that Chronos is Yakuza related. But considering their nature and how they function, I wouldn't put it past them. Also how so many chronos agents are loyal, I don't know. But it seems that Chronos was a fairly old large company, with large families working their. So you could say that the chronos troops and elite were all men and women raised in the shadow of chronos like Agito. Zoalords, likely the founders of Chronos as a society, then moved into being a huge imperial style corporation with hidden objectives. I'm certain Chronos's resources were meant originally to help hunt down potential Zoalord candidates, and later on moved world domination plans. Actually, I wouldn't put it past Chronos having been started off on the basis of a cult. Is it me, or do they seem to treat the zoalords as gods and the underlings as disposable ants... like Greek gods?

I dunno, the screaming along with the single slicing off of the scalp makes it seem so much more funny to me.

Men I give you my arms!

man, that looked like fun. Love how people applauded as they left. Poeple still love the Ghost Busters, even though there hasn't been a sequal since god knows when. Their reaction reminds me of what happened to the actor who played the antagonist in the first movie. He couldn't go anywhere for the better part of a decade without someone shouting out "Hey Di****ss!"
-
if you think about it, his zoalord form is all sparkly glowy and such. So it's got it's share of appeal.
