Here is a short explaination of what VIP membership is. This site costs money to run. The server must be paid for, the domain must be paid for... The forum software costs, the gallery costs... I don't ask members to pay for the costs but it would be nice to have some help. That's why the VIP membership exhists to give people a little bit extra in return for them helping out with the costs of the site. To be a VIP member costs the paultry sum of $10 US. other currency In return, you get an increased PM box, relaxed forum controls such as more file size availability for images etc. You get a private forum that only VIP can access. You get full access to the scanlations that are stored on this server, allowing much easier downloading if you desire. You get a sparkly VIP badge on your screen/profile. You get the sense of wellbeing that comes from helping out the community. to become a VIP member, you can use the paypal button, and leave a note with your donation indicating your username and that you want to be a VIP.

yep thats right. it started out on geocities and i moved it with hte intention of making the forum and making the community.

no, you are right. existential angst... a rterrible thing. I suffered from it for a while and it can be so soul destroying that I am lucky still to be here in this world. I think somewhere along the way I lost the point of our conversation, but no matter! it is fun anyway! yes, bad owners = bad dogs etc. precisely. I think i want to disagree with your perspective.. maybe teh dark ages was better for people? on a superficial level, it wouldn't appear that way, but on a spiritual level... well when People are in a bad situation, they have hope and they have purpose to drive towards a better future. at the moment People don't have that drive and tehy are suffering from apathy because of it. the spiritual pain could be worse than the physical pain? debatable i guess. or we change it best we can!! that's why i am in university studying for an Animation degree. People can be changed through art. i mean Artists and designers are the most powerful People on thenplanet. our work can influence People greatly

not entirely sure. good points though. teh stabiliser thingies seem in hte position to do something when Guyver makes his shield. so they must have controle over teh magnetic fields and perhaps cause some protection maybe. thats if he even needs it. but i think it behaves like teh guyvers fingers when he makes a pressure cannon. the description of teh pressure cannon says that the Guyver uses his fingers to focus the singularity.

yeah, I'd think if like a organ transplant. the telepathy growths could actually be some kind of neural tissue generated from hte hosts own DNA library.

I actually thin that's very cruel and It's not surprising if that kid got very low self esteem from that. if he was constantly told he was smart and he was not, then he is just gonna get frustrated when he does badly in tests. it'll confuse him and he will start to lash out. thats not raising self esteem.. thats plain lying. it promotes mistrust. it prootes the feeling "people don't love me if they would do this to me" leading to "whats wrong with me, why do peole hurt me like this" ... see where this leads? the best thing to do is to say "you are not smart, but thats ok, we love you anyway because you have such other things you are good at" and then concetrate on the good things about that person. thats how to make them feel good about who they are. no, instead of worryig about our pets being attacked, we gotta worry about our pets attacking us. dog atacks are getting more and more frequent because owners do not instill authority on the animal. and now we don't gotta worry abbout getting attacked by bandits. these days they are called 'chavs' and 'neds'. and goddam... thank goodness we don't have to worry about them pesky mastodons. society really showed them! oh wait.. no that was natural selection and ice ages. well yeah, I may be pessimistic... but it's hard not to be given the state of teh world. I don't think society in general is good. People are too complacent, take too much for granted and tehn lash out when they feel bad about something. society is like a spoiled abused child. of course i am not gonna say it's all bad. there are People in society that are setting apart from this crap. People like you or I who actually thin about things and talk about stuff. and you know what? all our problems in society... I actually know of a place where this crap hardly exhists. japan. their society is like.. pure heaven. you don't feel unsafe at night. animals are under control. People respect their elders. and no mastodons.

of course some would say "the lord works in mysterious ways". also there was something somebody said i can't remember where... the voice of god would make your head explode? to get a direct communique from god would likely kill you so he has to work in ways indirectly. in new age belief, some would say that there are spirits that may contact you if you were open to it, but many People are not open to such things and so cannot percieve teh spirits. (maybe analogous with angels) this kinda also links with karma. if you do good deeds, it'll come round to you in the end. lastly, there is psychology. if you constantly curse the world, the world will always seem a hostile place. it is because you would see an enemy around every corner. every awkward bottle lid is out to get you!! personally i don't think the wishes of one can overweigh the wishes of the many. also when a wish is purely selfish it should be ignored. if someboy came to me and asked me for all my money, i would tell them to go fish. I would be more likely to help People that i see are wanting to help others. thats just hte way i am. I actually think prayers are answered by the People around us. I think that the psychic network of the world passes hopes and dreams along to thos who have the power to do something. that is how i think certain 'messiah' arise. lots of People have so much hopes and dreams. and they see one person who may do something that makes the People think he/she is special. the opsychic energy fro all those People then gets directed towards this person and they become able to do extraordinary things. if you saw teh last episode of doctor who season 3... thats what I'm talking about.

i hated what phil pullman did with that story. he broke it. at the very last minute he broke teh story, made th characters do something they just wouldn't do considering all they hadgone through. when you love someone you find a way. even if it means you BOTH have a reduced time span. other than that ending part though, i really loved the story. really powerful. I like to pretend phil pullman decided not to end it and instead got drunk and got his estranged wife to write it, she hated him so she ruined the story. I tried readin stephen king... he goes off on one... too much, I lost interest in it. I read eragon. before the film was ever announced. It is a good book. if you watched the film or heard about it, pretend it doesn't exhist because it is truly appalling. I read all the harry potter books. I read christopher pike "The Last Vampire" series. I really enjoyed those stories. I don't actually read much... so thats pretty much it. apart from one I am trying to start on .. "The Sword of Shannara" by Terry Brooks. my mum reads this series and she told me to get into it. yeah, I have trouble readin books because of my dyslexia and also, there is so much other cool stuff i could be doing!!

the best thing i think they can do in that case is to find a more stable nucleic acid. then they can find a way to copy the genetic information across from dna into this other NA as a storage medium. maybe they can store it in cells and have a form of mitochondria that circumvents the normal processes and overwrites the dna at each cell replication? bah, I'm just being fanciful now anyhow.. I wouldn't want to live forever.

I understand what you say, I guess you refer to that tv show "the simple life" well a lot of these types of shows could each be given their own case... but take this example.. do you not think that this type of show helps morale in some way? it shows People that their normal skills aren't something to be taken for granted and that normal People do have great value and can be considered special. People are often shown how 'great' celebrities are, buit the normal everyday skills are very rarely given such prestige. but when you see these girls completely messing everything up, it makes the general populace proud to be a 'normal' person. this could even be a debate in it's own right!! but well.. I guess what maybe your driving at is People attitudes towards it rather than what I argued for here. I agree there is a lot of hatred in hte world. somebody broke the reflector on my bike last night. they must have kicked it. the only reasojn I can think of is that they saw it, thought it looked nice and decided that it wasn't allowed to be nice. possibly jealousy.. like you mentioned. I don't think thats down to entertainment though.. I think thats down to how they have been brought up. it's all down to self esteem. they don't feel good about themselves so anythig that looks good, they have to destroy so they can feel a little bit better. it's the whole social system in this country... low sefl esteem.. it's what makes the uk suck.. and maybe other western cuiltures... this is one thing I noticed in japan. it's not like that there. you don't see this kind of hatred. I think i even met a Yakuza, and he was actually a really nice guy. I think I had a similar experience recently.. I was standing in a shrine in tokyo and it was very big emty space.. and I realized that teh whole point of that space was simply to be empty (calm) and nothing more or less than that. the simplicity was something so beautiful to behold.

youngtusk, yes i agree with you mostly, but I do sometimes have problems with science, in times when ideas are proposed to be 'impossible' because it's against the laws of physics. there is so much unknown. I'm not necessarily advocating some of these ideas, but here is one idea that was given. when you put an animal in the zoo, you give it a habitat to let it grow and develop. if it is a chimpanzee enclosure, you give that chimpanzee all tools and interesting things to play with. so perhaps the world appears the way it does because whoever made it wants it to be interesting and challenging for mans intellect? and so they made it appear to be the way it is, when in actual fact for all we know... the world could have blinked into exhistence like a millisecond ago. 'evidence' relies on so much faith. our eyes for example. our eyes interpret the world and we simply gotta have faith that what our eyes show us is true. oh well i may be going the pedantic route now... but hey. personally, I like science as an explaination, but never as an answer. I love your quote btw. I feel it rings so true with my own beliefs. quite literally in fact. Crimson, that is so great to hear. I find the one great thing when People FIND religion is that they become better people. more able to love and help people. notice i said FIND in bold.. when People are INDOCTRINATED from birth, i feel that is wrong, because it is a form of brainwashing. when People are forced into it and not given all the information, it can be harmful because those People gain a blinkered view of the world. end of the day what makes each persons individual faith so wonderful is teh fact they have freely chosen to celebrate life in this specific fashion. I found an interesting thought the last meeting with CU. they posed the question "what is a good way to thank god" and everyione was saying "praise him" and so on... I felt that was utterly wrong, because if I gave somebody a gift, I wouldn't want them to say 'thank you' to me every time they saw me, I woud actually get quite fed up with it. I wouldn't want them to worship me because thats not why i gave it in hte forst place. If I give somebody a gift, I want them to enjoy it. nothing more and notheing less. if I see them enjoying the gift, that makes it worthwhile. so In conclusion, I told the group that the best way to "thank god" is to simply enjoy the Life and the world around us. It's your own view and I'm sure many will agree. but to attack you would get them a one way ticket out of this subforum, so I don't think thats gonna happen

well teh Guyver is a 'bio-booster' and as such is supposedly boosting bio-energy? isn't bio-energy the stuff that is being produced by mitochondria? why does the Guyver not simply work by boosting the output. at the basic level at least. obviously it does other stuff.... but that could be the definition of boosting the bioenergy? maybe Guyver does like... making more mitochondria, or mimics the energy producing qualities of the mitochondria with it's own components... like "bb-mitochondria" and then it changes the other components of the body cells to be compatable with such high amounts of that energy. sorry if I'm wandering off topic.

I think that richard guyot ias awesome!! I do think it needs a little more work though, an addition of some colour or a gradient of some kind. some texture as well, because the lines are not too detailed.

It's such a nice thing you say dude I think though that over teh past year or so I am learning a lot more about teh human condition and what it is to be alive. I think that a lot of People forget how to be human. to be human is to communicate. to live with others and to experience relationships. thats how we evolved from base creatures into hte complex system we inhabit today. cooperation etc. that's why I actually think it's important to gossip about paris hiltojn etc, because it is a way of social bonding that prompts us to care when our friend is in trouble. if we did not bond in this way, we would not care about our fellow man or woman. I think it is wequally important to value the owrld we live in, and equally valuable to value the persojn sitting next to us and what makes them tick. their favourite music, their favourite book etc. otherwise teh world may as well be empty. I think the best part about seeing a wonderful beautiful place is a) thinking about how great it will be to tell your friend about it b) thinking back on how great it was when telling your friend about it.

well actually I know some People who would disagree. I actually go to a weekly group "Christian Union" every monday to learn about christian faith and about the stories in hte bible. I find it very interesting to study as a lot of things are similar to my own beliefs. obviously there is much that i disagree with, but I find it challenging to translate my own beliefs into some form that the christians can understand and agree with. soe of the People I talk to actually take a lot of the bibles word LITERALLY. the way they put it sometimes is that... really we all have FAITH in scientists when really all this complex maths and such (most of which isn't even complete) can't actually be proven very easily. I mean it can't be proven to be solid fact when there is so much 'known unknowns' and 'unknown unknowns' such as dark matter and the like.

I read recently that scientists had synthesised a different kind of base for DNA. ordinary DNA has 4 but synthetic DNA could have 6. this makes for much more complex information in the same amount of DNA and would be fully compatible. i actually wanted to comment on this but zeo was thinking the same stuff it seems :- I would like to remind you guys of a diagram i posted a few months ago. it was of a cell with a small part of bio-boosted organism inside like mitochondria. when the Guyver is activated, these small parts of teh cells come into action and control the interactions of the cell. I don't know if you guys remember or wether it is relevant to hte specifics you are going into.

well I just thought I'd throw this in seeing as we are talking about this... when i was in akihabara, almost every store had a few Guyver figures. I even saw the rare Guyver 3 with hte glow-in-dark blades. so the shops are stocking them and have them on display so they must still be popular. so I would say from his that they are still planned for release. (contrast this with not being able to spot the Guyver dvds anywhere)
