"correct basics" according to your belief. and.. "confirmed truth" in your own mind. let me elaborate. even if something seems true to our own mind, we must accept that other people's mind works in different ways and works with different types of data. other people may say the same thing but use different names or explainations. in the spirit of different languages, it is a kind of different 'vocabulary' for different people. none is fundamentally 'true' and none is fundamentally 'false'. just different perspectives. let us please shy away from trying to confirm something as divine truth. we must allow for the different 'languages'. once we can work in this way, people are far more likely to listen and try to understand.

yeah, I did initially think he looked very much like kido shinji. it shortly passed though, leaving some other familiar aspet. at one point i thought gaoblue.. but that passed.. then he just looked like himself.

i never noticed any boukenger music. I don't think it could be exactly the same could it? oh yeah, they may use a lower quality kivara but what about the CG for dragredder? it was last time, but it must have taken a lot of money for that episode. maybe they were a little short this time. did i recognise those two guy in this one btw? they seemed familiar.

how about this :- before humans ever existed, there were demons and angels. demons existed in one realm and angels existed in another. they had societies and relationships perhaps alilen to our own ideas, but they had a full society each of their own. then they met. they actually got along well at first. the angels were very emotional, the demons were very logical. something bad happened and this brought the two to war. at this time, it was decided that earth should be created. the creator made the creatures of the earth and tied into these creatures the aspects of the angels and mixed in some of the demons as well. he then provided a means for them to awaken and become mortal. the first real choice came, and humanity was born. since demons and angels still exist and still are against each other, they seek to control the humans and play out their war through influencing humanity. the part of the demons that is within humanity is very logical, it helps us to survive. it is a very primal instinct and some refer to it as the 'reptilian brain'. it is responsible for the ancient instincts of survival. it rules fear and fear is the cause of many evils. this is why demons are seen as evil. but in reality they are simply misunderstood. the angel part of us is what gives us emotion, empathy. love. this is where our society seems to be at teh moment. but of course in the middle of africa with lions and tigers it would not serve us. so in a survival frame of mind, this would give rise to negativity such as dying and getting eaten.

maybe you'd get more attention for this find if you gave it it's own thread? after all this is the "dragon knight discussion" thread, not the "awesome stuff brought to real life from kamen rider" thread.

tablets are only really good for large strokes. not good for detail. unless you have a really good setup. also i gues sometimes the problem is confidence. larz.. to get your foot in the door.. well you'll hear this a lot and it's true. it's not what you know, it's who you know. if you can get in talks with somebody and manage to impress them then you have a good chance. so you have to work on your personal skills as well as your technical skills. on the other hand you can get your work submitted to competitions etc. but it's not as easy as getting a regular job... although that isn't so true these days. good technical animators.. are like resources. and nobody will care about you. so even if a teacher might tell you " do a good walk cycle and you got it made" it doesn't really mean a lot if you want to get a good career. concentrate on your strength and what you enjoy. i will never get a jopb as an 'aniamtor' even though i did a degree in animation. I am only suited to the role of producer or director, that kind of thing. i recognise my strengths and i will work on the skills that i will need. there is never any point in me doing a good walk cycle. i need to show good communication skills. i need to show i can plan a project and come up with sound ideas. larz, from what i can see now... I thik that you may be more suited to a key animator role. doing key frames and letting the animators do the tweens. you can adapt, and you have shown good spacial awareness.timiing could improve, but you learn that as you go along anyway. I used to be hopeless at timing.

drawing could be done using whatever medium hte artist feels comfortable with. for example, the art concept design for ubisoft is generally done straight into hte computer using a advanced graphics tablet that doubles as a screen. so it's like a digital canvas that you draw straight onto. with much anime work, you'll perhaps have all hte keyframes done in pencil, then put into hte computer and cleaned, and then the animators might use a program to sketch the tween frames.
-
no, like with a pencil and many pieces of paper. using line instead of pixel. although flash can do drawn stuff, it depends on how good you are drawing with a mouse.
-
awesome larz!! you are certainly a natural at this I'd like to see what you could do when using traditional animation methods.

or if there was a god and we are simply his dream?

considering how quantum mechanics work, would that not make the conscioussness that is formed from that.. "god" ? omniscient, is the obvious part... but if you are making everything a quantum computer, then any change in one part effects change in another. in effect, thought, effects matter. there you have omnipotence.

i think i can offer some additional here. it depends on wether or not that 'how' will be accepted by others. you see, a philosopher can obtain answers to how something happens, but if he acquires this knowledge from a source that cannot be verified, then it remains internal knowledge. he can share this 'how' but it relies heavily on faith. it could also be verified by somebody else obtaining the information in the same way, but the scientific method would be unable to 'prove' such a thing. that is why science is a tool. in effect, science is an enormous hugely elaborate complicated recording and measuring device. this depends on your definition of 'knowing' .in my view, the student would have an 'idea' how to perform hte move, but he would never KNOW. he would have no idea of the feeling of the muscle moving in a certain position. because knowing something is knowing the very essence of it every twitch of ever muscle, ever breath, every angle, every nerve impulse. but i will finish this paragraph to reiterate that i said "to understand concepts on the level of god". note 'on hte level of god' . that doesn't mean, we can't get a pretty good idea how things work, but to understand 'on the level of god' we would have to be god.
-
ok yah, that sounds cool I look forward to working on it.
-
in this case, I think there is error... but it depends on your definition of 'us' and this is where it gets tricky! because if we were to understand concepts on the level of god, we would cease to be 'us' and instead would have become 'god'. thanks zeo, i appreciate the comment

i did consider korean but i thought the writing on the images is not korean so that would not make sense.

the thing about the chicken and the egg... many people take it so literally... if we want to take into account those kinds of people, we have to say, what came first, the chicken or the chicken egg. it seems that by trying to 'work it out' the peoples have lost the true meaning of the expression. it is like a koan, it is not meant to be worked out. it is meant to be understood as a quandary. the answer would not be either egg or chicken. the answer would be " hmmm, i see what you are saying". it is teh same as saying, if god created teh universe, what created god? or if the big bang created the universe, what created the big bang? that is the meaning, it is not meant to be answered in such a fashion. when you get to concepts such as infinity, or eternity, a man's mind is too puny to fully grasp such a thing. if you truly try to understand eternity, you would certainly go crazy.

yeah, that makes sense. i tell you what i did like. the newspaper was called 'atashi' instead of 'ore' , that was a nice touch. also, i notices they called him shinji, but his surname was different. it began with the letter t but i can't remember, I just know it wasn't kido.

it's not spoilers. was my post confusing? I thought... if somebody was avoiding this thread.... somebody might avoid this thread for a number of reasons. that person might not have seen recent eps of shinkenger so they won't want to read this thread. alternatively, a person might simply not be interested in shinkenger discussion. but they might really love the music. they might really appreciate teh opening and closing music. but since they don't visit this thread, they will miss it. so surely it would be better in a thread labelled " shinkenger OP and ED musics" ?
