3 episodes in. still no substance. so far this has less substance than either goonger or gekiranger. also the production values have really gone down the pan. this is cheap. i can't see it improving to be completely honest. larz if you want to watch any sentai, try hurricanger. not this.

BK, I didn't say camden is fictional. I said the show is set in a fictional place that is named camden. I.E. it's not the real camden. there is no way that earl is set in the real camden. the climate is totally wrong.

actually i did a search for it earlier. it's a fictional place called camden. it's filmed in LA apparently. i was just thinking, their accents and the environment looked to me like it could be texas. but i'm not too clued up on that.

yes, actually it is quite straight forward. scientists have got distances for many of the stars in hte sky. we know the trajectory so we can construct a 3 dimensional star chart of the stars that we can see. that is what I was constructing, using a 3d design program. the only thing we can't account for though is any form of dark matter. some stars may be obscured from sight when looking from another planet.. since we cannot see such obstructions, we have no way of knowing.

ha ha, yeah, nice one sirius it is. anyway, I just thought carefully and i remembered what i was doing. I was looking at orions belt and trying to determine what it would look like from other star systems. I got some ideas when reading about other cultures on other planets on some website somewhere... I don't know how much truth there is in any of that, but i thought i'd have a look anyway. well I mostly concentrated on the positioning of alcyone and the way orions belt would look from there. I was thinking that it might come out as a equilateral triangle but it didn't so the idea i had was completely null. thiking of it now... I didn't check to see what it would look like from other star systems like sirius. If I had saved my file i would be able to check it but i didn't save it.

i'm not unhappy kenji chan true, it's a little tough without much money, but I think i would be quite miserable if i went into some crappy job that i hate. I have a business plan anyhow.

i was interested in the possible correlations between sol, the pleiades cluster and syrius. I was constructing a diagram, but i found that tehre was not really any pattern that i could determine. the triangulation wasn't very even. can't remember now though.. actually i can't remember what i was trying to prove. so I also think that any relation to the pleiades star cluster is very questionable. although... the thing that i was reading.. I seem to remember i thought pleiades was spelled wrong.. so i dunno, I t might be possible it wasn't actually meant to be pleiades, rather something else specifically that just sounds like it. I wish i could remember where i was reading it. it's interesting i wsa talking to my mum about this before. we both agreed that it would be good to get a collapse of economy because it would likely end commercialism and materialism. I went on to thinking how easy it would be for our culture to be more utopian like in star trek. we have lots of resources like factory robots that not as many people actually have to work these days. I have often wished that i could do my art and give it freely. i want to create things and just give them away but i realise that i have to charge for my work in this culture. I thikn that it may be very possible for us to evolve our culture into a more utopian society.

eether you said a lot of the things i have been thinking and researching. I read something about an ancient cherokee prophecy that also alludes to hte same things. I think i read somewhere that our system is part of a cluster called pleiades. I realise that we have a pleiades star cluster in our sky, but i thik we are also supposed to be part of that cluster from some other point of reference. although I am very unclear on this. yes i find it interesting what you said about the mayans. that they ascended? to hte fifth dimension perhaps? that is where humanity is supposed to be going according to some. in terms of metaphysics... the 3 dimensions are what we see when awake. the fourth dimension is the astral plane, that we sometimes see when we are asleep. and teh fifth dimension is what many people call heaven. so this also goes along with what it says in hte christian bible. that christ will return to earth and lead humanity to heaven. but i don't thik that means we are physically going anywhere I think it just marks a massive change in attitude. the way world economy is going.. I think it really is possible that materialism might just collapse completely.

i like the origami's but i hated that transformation into shinken-oh. it was so completely lame. I don't think this series can surpass hurricanger. actually, It might not even come close. I am seeing a similarity to the structure of go-onger. as in... ther don't seem to be any consequences to what happens in each episode. I say this because of how over dramatised they made that 2nd episode. but then it seemed to be completely resolved by the end of the episode. it seemed very over the top. and if they can solve something that quickly when it was made to seem so bad... it just doesn't bode well. well, we shall see. it is only 2 episodes in.

i never considered that... the arms monsters didn't come back?.... well they have to come back for chou den-o. i was quite shocked as to the identity of that bad guy... I never saw it coming.. not until i saw him in that house.. then i though OMG!! i did figure it out before he changed.. but god i was slow with that.... it was really heart warming though.

what is it you don't like about them? what are you using as a point of reference3?

since we haven't seen the strength of the guyver armour vs penetration, we can't really say.

that's true. also i guess there is the factor of the stress resistance of the material of the car. a guyvers leg is quite thin, it'd be like ploughing into a lamppost. my expectation is that the guyver would be moved backwards. he wouldn't be bowled over, rather he would remain upright and his feet would create a furrow in the ground while the car wraps around him. I haven't kept up with smallville and i haven't seen him get hit by a car, is this what happened in that?

guyver one weighs 261kg. a small car weighs about 1000kg. a medium sized care weighs about 2000kg. on initial investigation you would think that the care could send guyver flying. that's not taking into account the momentum enhancers in guyvers legs. it is stated in the VDF that the momentum enhancers increase guyvers stability and give it a steady base in cases of grappling. I would hazard a guess that this gives him an incresed effective weight. the description of teh momentum enhancers when referrig to punching power say it icreases effective mass by tenfold. so that would likely increase effective mass of guyver to around 2610kg. that would mean, if I am right in my assumptions, guyver would stand his ground against most regular cars. a large car such as a 4x4 though... that would most likely send guyver flying.

me too, always some good stuff I love those chinese building designs.

i think the DSi is a good example of pathetic marketing. first of all the unit looks nearly identical. secondly the name is the same just with an 'i' lobbed on the end. I walked past my local game store and i saw that they were taking preorders for this thing. at first glance at the posters I thought they had made a mistake and were taking preorders for teh nintendo DS.. the normal thing. It really wasn't apparent that it was somehow new and in some way better at all. in fact after taking a moment to think about it all I was thinking was "so they stuck a camera on it" and that's pretty much it. it's probably got more? I don't know and i don't care to be honest. the way they've brought this thing inspires no interest or intrigue whatsoever.

hmm, I took a look at this 'veoh' thing. it seems that it may be necessary to use this instead... oh well, at least i can watch

it is worth noting that these exmples taken the 12 OVA may not be thorooughly accurate since that OVA was enhanced for dramatisation. in the first parts of the manga, the guyver ws pretty much unscathed. that's what made the enzyme fight even more shocking. the only notable examples that i can think of is guyver 2 firing on him and aptom firing on him. actually, I was quite shocked to see that aptoms fire power seemed to exceed guyver 2's.
