well we don't have all zoanoids or all zoalords or even all guyvers, so i think in likewise, we should have the main and most popular kamen rider. yeah that kiva one is nice, i am pleased with it, so i think we can have something similar. if you guys can provide me with a frontal shot of the helmet, i can produce a icon in the same fashion as i did with the kiva 'met.

that's a good video. i don't understand people adding to facebook when they don't even know you. i always kept facebook for people that i know now, that i want to know what is going on in their lives, who i want to keep in contact with. I don't want to see updates from somebody that i wouldn't give the time of day normally. previously, I had kept it for people that i know in real life as in, not solely on the web, but recently i decided that there wasn't any real distinction because the people i knew in university, are no longer anywhere closeby and so i only speak to over the net. so i decided it's good for anybody that i would talk to and who i am interested in what they are getting up to.

these wouldn't be part of the super emoticon gallery, they would be part of the regular cast of emoticons. like the guyver emotes.

we could have a japan legend group. sounds cool. does it require a lot of looking after? there is a kind of feature in this forum that allows a LINK with facebook. i don't know how it works but i could look into it at the weekend.

yeah you ar right, I don't use my phone for music, for example. I have an mp3 player that is very light, very compact and very good at what it does. i would rather run the battery down on that than run the battery on my phone so i have to charge it more often. I think it work out more economic. I think it depends on the person and how they use their phone as well. actually depend on what phone we chose. I chose the e63 which is very similar to yours, but it is more aimed at use as an organiser. that is what i use my phone for, my phone is a communication device, a organiser and a information gathering device. there are some people who use their phone for a media device and socialising. they use for media sharing and games also. I don't use those features. i saw some of those phones, they have touch screens. and the touch screen is mostly used for photo manipulation and media player control. i would find it pretty useless because i have a mp3 player and i have a camera. my mp3 player is better than a phone. my camera is better than a phone. I want to get larger memory anyway. it is a little restrictive. I had to take some things off it. and the maps will certainly take a lot of space. I want to play around with the maps for sure.

no, it just came with the essentials. I guess i could connect via bluetooth but I don't like enabling it on my pc. I can never remember how to switch it off again. and it puts all these icons on my screen and stuff. and yeah you are correct it has no memory card. it has a decent sized memory though so I am not too worried about that. something like 120mb maybe i'll try using bluetooth and all that stuff.

I don't have a usb cable so i can't get it from that page. i got it from the beta page. it said it was no compatible. I tried it anyway but it never worked, it didn't even respond when i tried to start it. I'll try this again when i get a data cable and memory card and when it is unlocked. it is fortunate that the uk map is quite big. well nokia is European so I guess they put a priority on European countries.

i don't have a stop clock. i never thought about that kind of feature really. i am sure there is a app to do it on ovi or getjar.com that nokia maps sounds good. do you need to have your phone hacked to do it? edit: I looked at maps 3.. it says it is incompatible with my phone device. did it say that with yours? if so, did it work anyway?

gmail? I don't have a gmail. I use hotmail. I find the hotmail client effective for what i use it for. basically i may check my emails when i'm off my pc, but I don't exactly use it as a replacement. I still use my hotmail when i get on my pc. I haven't relied on it for email yet so I don't mind. i don't know if the gmail client can connect to hotmail. i doubt it. I did find a very good app called snaptu. it has bits for facebook and twitter. that's good for me. it also has news, weather updates, tv guides and other things.

I did try to download the map or to save the route that i had done. I couldn't find any way to do it. i wouldn't say it's a poor mans gps. It sort of behaves differently. also, i would say that if you aren't downloading the satellite images, and just getting the basic map view, It may not cost a lot. it depends on your network service. i do think it would be a good improvement to the app if it gave the option of storing your current route and the map sections needed for that route.

I'm glad you ask question, It'#s fun to answer. in accuracy, it is not as good as gps, it put my location inside a house 2doors away, it also put me in a house across teh street. i think accuracy is within about 10 metres. it claims it is within 100 metres, but i think it is more acurate than that. otherwise it would put me in the next street. it never does that. I dopwnloaded it via my home wireless network. so basically the same connection as my normal internet that is on my pc. I also connect to the server while using teh maps using the wifi connection to the wlan. the maps available is basically everything you get when you go to the google maps website. so anywhere in the world. the navigation is very well. I asked it for directions to my grandma's house and it gave me the directions that i normally take anyway. it even accounts for the one way streets. it doesn't know house numbers though, i asked for my friends house and it just gave me directions to hte street. i am not sure if any other system could be more accurate than that though... it took me a while to be able to disable my connection, it seems to be automatic, but when i disabled my network connection it gave me a message that it requires a network. it told me to select a new network to use or to exit the program. I can see how that would be a drawback if you are travelling and want to keep checking the map. you can't see the map if you aren't connected. you would have to connect to a gprs if you want to continue using it. there is no way to save the result to use outside the application.

this voice recognition was pretty good. it got confused between apps and maps a couple of times, and when i said 'guyver' it gave me twitter but it was mostly prety accurate. It gave me japan legend first time. the youtube app is basically a more convenient way to access youtube, since the website is optimised for a web browser, it may have trouble fitting on a small screen. this app gives you an easy search and an efficient video display. I didn't actually notice how long the map took to get a lock. it seems pretty much instant. it doesn't track automatically as far as i can tell, I could tell it to update my position. but i think it has some sensitivity and maybe updates after moving a certain distance or something.

heh heh, sounds cool well I won't be getting any action games for it. the keypad doesn't lend itself to fast movements. and if i am waiting somewhere I would alway prefer to play my kanji games. what better to pass the boredom than to learn something useful. talking about applications.... actually I found that google has specific mobile apps. I downloaded google mobile. it is a app that is pure google. but it has voice recognition. very clever. but the most excellent part is that it has a youtube app plugin for it and also a google maps app plugin! this is not like google maps the website, first of all it actually works... secondly it is AMAZING! somehow it knows where i am I don't know what it does... i don't have a GPS on this phone.. I think that somehow it must use a connection to the cell data of the cell network.. and finds out my location from that. very cool! and i can do the directions thingemy, get a route from a to b, i can connect to my google maps account so i can get my saved places and all sorts. quite simply, google mobile rocks!

no, it feels very sturdy actually. the build quality is very fine. so, I have spent a fair bit of my evening researching how to possibly unlock, debrand, flash etc... it seems the best and most reliable way to free the phone is to phone teh service provider. it is locked to virgin, I can phone virgin for free and then request an unlock. problem with that though is that they will charge me £15. still, it's not £25 so it is a better option. there is no site that has a code for my phone and no software that will generate one. I guess i just have to play by virgin's rules for now. hopefully the unlock will allow me to choose my own firmware. i can then to nokia site and get a fresh install. that should make sure all features work 100%. the map.. yes is nokia maps. i did not realise there may be a subscription. I may not have gps but i still would expect to be able to browse the map. just with no positioning data. anyhow, I went to google maps. that didn't work either. that's what i found strange.

I got my new phone. so far it is mostly good, of course with many new technology there is many annoying things.. like for 2 days I could not find out what my own phone number is so nobody could phone me and i had no credit so i couldn't phone anyone. so I had a phone that is not even a phone. I found it out now.. it was really really obscure place in the menu. also, the maps is not working, but as soon as i can get a data cable, I can update the software on it and get some stuff sorted out. i can do wifi, I can collect my emails directly via teh phone, the calendar is excellent, the typing is good, music playing etc is good. I need to get the network unlocked soon because i don't want to tell all my friends to change my number on their phones. i was told it would cost around £25

hmm, I don't think we have a nokia showroom around here. I think this handset is being sold in the "3" shop. yeah it may be worth going there to have a look I don't know exactly when i will be able to get it. I am in the process of selling a electronic dictionary, if i get enough to cover the cost of the phone, I will be getting it very soon. if not, I will be able to put aside maybe £10/20 per fortnight. i think that i can get it around 2 or 3 months. maybe sooner. in the meantime, I made a mockup of the phone out of paper. it is pretty good actually, I have it beside me and i can imagine that i already have the phone. it's very exciting!

as you say, it's probably a culture thing. If I'm buying off a uk seller, then i have protection by law. any item i purchase has to be as described. by law. also, there is not any kind of culture for modifying phones here. the maximum modification i would expect on a phone is for the network to be unlocked. this is done by specialised vendors who do that one thing and then nothing else. the people selling phones on ebay, is because the phone was free with their contract. either they use the new phone or they sell it. so if it is being sold, then you can pretty much guarantee they have not used it because they are happy with their current model.
