December 9, 201510 yr Ok so we have a realses date for Toho's upcoming' new Godzilla and our first look at this Godzilla's new design. It's realses date is very interesting to me because it was around that time of year that Manga UK released Godzilla vs Mothra: Battle for Earth all those years ago which was the first Godzilla movie I ever saw. Kind of reminds me of the first 3 Godzilla suits from Godzilla, Godzilla Raids again and King Kong vs Godzilla with that more elongated, more reptilian head. Also this Godzilla is going to be bigger the the 2004 one! Also that's a lot a teeth! Edited December 9, 201510 yr by Prometheus Guyver
December 10, 201510 yr I just love how Toho basically went, "Smeg, the @@@king Americans made another Godzilla again! Get the suits ready, QUICK!"
December 10, 201510 yr Nah, I am pretty sure this is on schedule. Actually it's two years late... And there is a teaser, of sorts... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=192nSuo_FMM Edited December 10, 201510 yr by Salkafar

August 11, 20169 yr They're still making Godzilla movies?!! What the hell have I been doing, living under a rock!
August 13, 20169 yr Author Spoiler Warning again The forms of Shin Godzilla. Stage1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Edited August 13, 20169 yr by Destoroyah
August 13, 20169 yr His final stage looks like lava... cracked and mottled, but red-hot within... I like it. Like they are finally going 100% with the idea that he is a supernatural, or at lleast extranatural entity. Pure rage, embodied.

So he embodies not only rage and power but also agony ans suffering. He's new look further compliments what he represents, nuclear horror!. 1 hour ago, river_chaos said: Well now....o.O This is gonna haunt me for a while.... Yes....yes it will. This is Godzilla, he is power, he is destruction, he is an unstoppable force cursed to live. He's existence is eternal agony to himself and brings suffering to others yets something compels this being to keep fighting to live and he is to powerful to be slain. As always he is a powerful, horrifying and yet pitiful enigma. Edited August 13, 20169 yr by Destoroyah
August 21, 20169 yr I have mixed feelings about him honestly. I was so excited to finally see the images and then was somewhat disappointed in it. I don't like his weird eyes, and head. And I likewise don't like his deformed arms. I also don't like his tail or his spikes. But I've heard the movie's been one of the best adaptations of Godzilla ever, and even beat the 2014 Godzilla. So I'm still gonna watch it, don't get me wrong, I just really don't like his design. I can't wait for Kong: Skull Island though and then Godzilla 2 and finally Godzilla vs Kong! I've been waiting for that remake my entire life!
September 16, 20169 yr This looks better than the American film. It's been ages since I've seen anything on the Japanese Godzilla.

November 22, 20169 yr Well, it's been out for a while now. It's certainly unusual. And it's the first 'cold reboot': it's not a sequel to the 1954 one. So basically the Japanese government has no idea what's going on.
January 5, 20179 yr I saw it. It was okay. Not the best, but certainly not the last. It just felt like another repeat of Godzilla as usual.
