"Remember, the first step in avoiding a trap is knowing that one has been set."
Thufir Hawat, Dune

There's something fishy in the state of Denmark...or should I say, the Isle of Silha.

What exactly has caused Archanfel's switch in behavior?  I mean, how does he go from acting like an all-powerful god of destruction to a docile average joe?

All I can think is that (a) he's up to something, or (b) someone (most likely Apollon) is pulling his strings.

Come to think of it, why hasn't Apollon tried to take Archy's crystal?  Unless he needs him intact for something...

And how does having him interacting with Tetsuro and Mizuki factor in?  Is this an attempt to "humanize" him in some way?

I know I'm just grasping at straws here, but what I'm trying to say that there is something really off about all this.

I have a feeling that Archanphel isn't in control of the situation. Considering all that we have read abut the more recent hibernation's he's had to take, i would bet that he either doesn't want to use any of his powers, or possibly he can't.

The last time Apollyon was at the island, we see Archanphel look at him, and it wasn't a... positive look. Like he isn't quite happy with what Apollyon is doing... but there doesn't seem to be anything he can really do about it.

If it is Imakarum, I am guessing maybe healing him in his own statis pod and using all his power to heal him, might have changed Imakarum... Probably boosting his power and possibly losing any control Archanphel may have had over him... And what he is doing now is against Archanphel wishes.

It's been a while since I re-read the earlier chapters, but my last feelings towards Archanphel were of pity as it was the cliched Frankenstein story whereby the Advents created a monster, but then abandoned/try to destroy it.

The fact that Archy saved the earth kinda suggests that he is a being of good nature, but his hatred towards those who created him sent him on a revenge trip. I think this was why he continued to create the 11 zoalords and build an army.

From the reaction between Arch and Apollyon, I think it's safe to say that he knows his identity and they share some trust/common goal. Whilst he may not approve of what he's doing, (removing the council of 12) it seems to me that Archy has acknowledged that this is necessary for the next phase of Arch/Apollyon's plan. Personally I still think it's highly likely Apollyon is Murakami. It would certainly make sense in this context.

As far as the next phase of the plan, I assume this requires the power of the zoacrystals, which is why Apollyon is collecting them. Whether it is to restore Arch's power/create new zoalords/create a new weapon/power the ark/simply destroy them I can't tell yet. He has 6 of 11 so far (if you include Guyot/Imakarums) and it's suspected that those still alive and loyal to archy are being spared, (Barcus and Shin). The 2 rogues will likely have theirs taken following the battle with Agito, leaving Galenos as the only real question mark.

I'm expecting a big reveal chapter on Silha with the Sagwa's reuniting with the Guyver team and Apollyon and Archenphel explaining their plan. It will involve the guyver unit/the crystals/the ark and the Uranus and both the operation and threat will be BIG!!

This is probably all still 5 years away though! lol

I think the death of some of the zoalords has hit him hard.

It has being said many times that you require all 12 zoalords to manage the Ark. Along with that it expended almost a year? worth of solar energy in repairing Imakarum.

So there are 2 huge set backs, the death of 5 Zoalords and his dream of attacking the Uranus on hold and basically this is how he is reacting to it.

We'll have to wait and see more of this to know for sure after the Gigantic Dark / Rouges battle.

I think he's given up. He looks defeated in the manga....and I mean mentally. He's this really laid back guy who plays video games with Tetsuro and obviously knows he couldn't beat Apollon with his restricted power and condition. So what is there for him to do? I mean....it's kind of obvious in the comic.

Maybe Archanfel knows his time is short and he's having Apollyon taking the crystals to empower Apollyon. Maybe having him take Archanfel's place. May seemed far fetched, but it wouldn't surprise me. Seeing Archanfel give the guy all his power and that of the other Zoalords. Doing that just might make him even stronger than when Archanfel was first created, and able to break free of the Creators thought waves.
