"Whoever is carrying Thor's fingerprints" is, I think, the literal translation."- Tony Stark, Avengers: Age of UltronJust a random thought buzzing in my head lately, who in the Guyver-verse would be able to lift Mjolnir, the Hammer of Thor?I have a few ideas, but...I want to hear yours first. Guyver0 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Well the way Mjolnir determines who is worthy is based on who Odin believes to be worthy. The only mortals that Odin would recognize and allow passage into Valhalla are warriors who died a violent and honroable death...so hate to point out the obvious of who comes to mind, but technically the only ones who have "died" would be Sho and Murakami/Imakarum and would be worthy in my opinion. Be interesting to see either of them weilding the hammer of Thor or even Gungnir (Odin's spear). 2 Quote
Gazham Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I thought it was those who were just good and true and mjolnir decides. During the battle between storm and wonder woman in the battles for the universe at the start of amalgam comics, wonder woman uses mjolnir. I'm sure many have used it. I would guess that sho would be able to use it, murakami too if he wasn't being influenced. Quote
H222G981 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I'd say no one in the Guyver universe. Even Captain America, the most purest of good guys couldn't life the hammer. Quote
Salkafar Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Sho would. He almost perfectly fits the bill. As far as I have come to understand, you have to meet three criteria to be able to heft Mjölnir (providing Thor is not wielding it himself, or forbids you from doing so): - You have to be brave. You have to engage threats and evil courageously. - You have to be honorable. You have to be honest and possess integrity. - You have to be a warrior. And this does mean that, should the need arise, you have to be prepared to kill. Wonder Woman could lift the hammer, when it crossed into the DC universe, and this is entirely logical, because of all superheroes and heroines, she is most like Thor. Honestly, if those ever became a couple... But Superman, who is stronger than she is, and brave and honorable to a fault, nevertheless could not lift the hammer. I don't know whether Batman would be able to, but I suspect he would not.... deception and mind games are a part of his arsenal, and he is very serious about not killing. Incidentally, Captain America is capable of lifting Mjölnir and has done so in the past. The Hulk, adversely, never has... although it is possible that one of personalities might be able to. Another Marvel hero who lifted Mjölnir was the alien, Beta Ray Bill - a warrior from the Korbinite race. He signed up, along with many others, to be subjected to a series of grueling tests, of which he ultimately was the only survivor; all so he could be cybernetically and genetically augmented into the champion and protector of his people, as their entire civilization migrated across space in a massive fleet of space ships. Again: Brave, honorable and a warrior. http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2006/08/15/top-five-non-thor-mjolnir-wielders/ In any case - Sho Fukamachi would be able to lift the hammer. And I don't think anyone else could, in the Guyver universe ('Guyverse'?). Edited April 8, 2016 by Salkafar 1 Quote
H222G981 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Sho would. He almost perfectly fits the bill. Magneto could too and he's an ass. Quote
Salkafar Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 That's Magneto from the Ultimate Universe. You can safely ignore everything from those comics. For one thing, Thor's hammer does not have the 'worthiness' enchantment at all in the Ultimate Universe (I should say none of his hammers - he has two that were made on Earth, and one from Asgard). For another, that particular comic is 'Ultimatum' which is such ripe garbage that anyone who has read it prefers to pretend it never existed at all. And finally, the Ultimate Universe was forever destroyed in the first issue of 'Secret Wars'. 1 Quote
H222G981 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Yes. But the question is. Would Sho even think about taking the hammer from Thor while having the Gigantic engaged to fight him? Quote
