Salkafar Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 In this day and age this could definitely work. I do wonder why the Japanese never made one. Quote
Guyver0 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 That would be awesome! I do hope the company is able to work out a deal. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 This sounds interesting, at least. Hope it comes through, in the end. Quote
OverPoweredScrub Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Yeah, the potential of the guyver series is insane, definately needs more fame in my opinion. 1 Quote
H222G981 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 (edited) This sounds interesting, at least. Hope it comes through, in the end. Same. I often wonder if they made a movie in Japan. I wonder what the Guyver suit for the film will look like. Its obvious if a movie is made ,they're going to give the suit their very own color, cut, clarity and design. But this is to be expected. But to get down to it, if a movie is in the works. Heck yeah, I'll watch it. Edited February 20, 2015 by Jupiter Knight Quote
alkanfel009 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 doubt have a chance to make this movie I think it would be nice to contribute something, I mean, if you could gather, at least 100 dollars, per person, for a fund and contribute some money to the movie, it would be something which could help launch the course project is just a matter of if every fan wants to contribute something, Quote
Hyper_Guyvantic Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 A while ago I wrote a message on face book and sent a letter to Legendary on how I would end Godzilla 2, and in that letter I even asked if they would be willing to take on a Guyver project. I doubt they would respond or if they would take up a Guyver project. It would be nice if they did though and I would be absolutely surprised. Guyver is ripe to come back to the big screen, with films such as the Underworld movies, The Incredible Hulk, Avengers, and Iron Man to study transformations from ordinary people into unstoppable creatures and heroes in armor suits. The technology is also ripe to ot only accurately portray all the Guyver's abilities, but imagine them in 3rd! *drools like homer* Maybe if we Guyver fans will eventually get a new movie if we lobby for it. But if Ghost in the Shell doesn't fail as a live action over here, and if James Cameron ever gets off his ass and does Battle Angel like he was rumored to do. . . .FOR THE PAST 10 PLUS YEARS and it is a success, we MIGHT see one sooner then later. But those 2 movies in my opinion holds the future of anime to live action adaptations in their hands so to speak. Because lets face it, Hollywood has not been kind to the anime series they made live action adaptations of. Quote
Sully Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Lets hope it works out, considering the current climate of DC and Marvel a very good and well done Guyver movie would be a great rival franchise if done correctly. 2 Quote
Hyper_Guyvantic Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 (edited) If a new Guyver movie does ever come to fruition, I would hope that if Steve Wang is unable to direct the movie, then I would like to see Guillermo del Toro direct it. I think he would not only follow the source material but do series the justice it so rightly deserve. Edited February 20, 2015 by Hyper_Guyvantic 3 Quote
H222G981 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) If they remake the Guyver movie, I would hope they try to do a trilogy or a series of movies based on the 2005 anime or the manga. So long it goes with the story and the action has some class and doesn't look sloppy with just CGI. Edited February 24, 2015 by Jupiter Knight 1 Quote
OverPoweredScrub Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 So... i was messing around and google and i found this, this could just be a troll of some kind. But its got voice actors as the cast and the runtime is 30 minutes. Could it be that guyver anime is coming back in 2016. Just a thought. Also i have recently made a gaming channel on youtube if any of you fancied a look? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGA6fZjbng_IPpK57b5Yhgg 1 Quote
H222G981 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I often wonder how the new generation will perceive Guyver if it is made into a reboot of some sort. With all the Marvel movies coming out. I'm sure today's youth might get confused and reference the Guyver to a Japanese version of Iron Man or something like that. Quote
Super_Giga_Smasher Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Based on Pacific Rim Del Toro would be great at the Exceed Vs Kahn battle 1 Quote
