Larz Zahn Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Ha ha ha ha ha! I was never really into the guardians, but this made me laugh so hard! Quote
*Jess♥ Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I really like the look of this film. it makes me think of hellboy with it's outlandish characters and strong colours. Quote
Shin Mefilas Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Looks fun, Drax has changed a lot from when I last saw him in a comic But the I havent seen him in anything out side the Infinity story arcs and didn't Groot use to be a lot.......bigger? And uglyer. Edited February 19, 2014 by Azagro Scar-Forge Quote
jerrygoodman Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Well, Groot's vocabulary's kinda changed since then too. Quote
durendal Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I like this. It's very similar to the atmosphere of the current running comics. Although I haven't been avidly following GOTG, i feel like they're missing a few members. And Yeah, drax has evolved from the big hulky half brained brute into a ruthless killer. That's probably the only iteration that succeeded in completing his original purpose. Would be nice if they also featured the nova corps. Now I remember who's missing. Somehow they're missing Angela, although I'm not entirely sure about its legal issues with Neil Gaiman. Did marvel completely buy the character out? Would be badass if they managed to put the annihilation storyline here. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Re-watched the trailer, saw that one of Star-Lord's associates is listed as "Yondu Udonta"...Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? Quote

Glenn Close apparently plays the current "Nova Prime" Whether or not they set anything up for a "Nova" movie is unknown, but the Corpsmen are in the movie. Though I would love it, so long as it is Richard Rider... Sam Alexander is turning out pretty good, but I'd prefer Rich. I hope Angela never appears. She was only brought in to the Marvel universe "Because We Can". I really don't like the shift Marvel took with the Cosmic side. Star-Lord is back, with no real reasoning ( and his new costume is ugly). Thanos is back without any real reasoning. Nova Prime? Still missing, with no real reasoning. But then, they always do this when a new movie comes out. It's stupid because it ruins continuity like crazy... Something Marvel loves to claim they care about, but they don't. There are a number of characters they could be missing, but the current "core" cast is pretty set, without going into too much other back stories... Like: Phylla-Vel Moondragon Mantis Major Victory Cosmo ( never was a full member... But come on, awesome telepathic cosmonaut dog? He's like Professor X! And a Dog! A Russian Dog!) Despite the fact I like Drax and Gamorra... With the smaller cast, I think they could have done without Gamorra, and maybe threw in Phylla or Mantis ( despite Mantis being green skinned as well). As a basic description for both Gamorra and Draw would read: "Green Skinned Badass that uses Blades" Re-watched the trailer, saw that one of Star-Lord's associates is listed as "Yondu Udonta"... Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? Yondu is in the movie. Michael Rooker is playing him. Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 This trailer made me laugh. My wife is tired of super hero movies. I wonder if this will make her change her mind? Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Yay for movie posters! You get to see the "Guardians" uniform. Unfortunately they are all red, instead of the blue with red... But that might be a little too close the Captain America in this one. Or the alternate version of the poster... Quote
Guest snow Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I want to see that. I hope its good. I really like Thor and Wolverine out of all the Marvel characters. Quote
