Larz Zahn Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Grand admiral is the highest rank in the empire. Thrawn, who is chiss, is the only alien to have that rank. Which speaks volumes of his skill. He is in the novels heir to the empire, dark force rising, and last command. And i highly recommend reading these books. Unfortunately, it was stated that the movie will not be about the thrawn trilogy. Which really sucks. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 update time. So it's like we thought. All three original stars are unofficially officially back. George lucas said this. *"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison—or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation,""*"" Lucas said. *""So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on.'" He pauses. "Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them." Then he adds: "I won't say whether the negotiations were successful or not.""* Read more at http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=101254#ZCbgxVG4GivDW3CW.99 Quote
*Jess♥ Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 expanded universe.. that is like fanfictions or official novels and games or something else? well you did mention books so I guess they must have a semi-official status. maybe similar to the games like Knights Of The Old Republic? Ok I get it, cheers. I like the idea of those 3 stars coming back to do the film. I still have great reservations about their choice of director, but I'll have to hold back on my feelings. I just don't want to have another fiasco that makes me want to be violently ill. Who knows, he might do an ok job. Quote
LordSpleach Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Ryuki, the Star Wars Expanded Universe is canonically official. I don't know all the details, but when a new story is proposed for Star Wars, it has to run through Lucas to make sure in doesn't contradict any of the other stories. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Like his prequels did. To practically every book he okay'd prior to episode 1. Im not happy with that. His movie canon ruined years of novel canon. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Some minor news.Looks like they will release ep vii in the summer of 2015 and then release a stand alone movie the following summer then epviii three summer after then the other standalone etc. etc. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/cinemaconnews.php?id=103129 Edited April 18, 2013 by Larz Zahn Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 A very funny Harrison Ford interview with the late show. Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 let us remember how low Lucas made the bar for success in the starwars franchise: Quote
*Jess♥ Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 great video! I am fairly confident J J Abrams can do a better job than George Lucas. I'd honestly never thought about the phantom menace that much. actually it sort of sends me to sleep. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Jj Abrams has stated that he expects john Williams to be back to score episode 7 this is great news if it can be confirmed. Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Hopefully it's better than the music in this Starwars special: Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Oooo i always wanted to watch that! I'll have to take a look on my break. And it looks like star wars 7 will be filmed in the UK. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Holy. Crappity. Crap... I cant believe they made that special.... Quote
odin Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Holy. Crappity. Crap... I cant believe they made that special.... I'm sorry I did not notice sooner, I could have saved you from your insanity, my condolences to you bro. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I feel like i lost part of myself... I'll never make fun of jarjar again, Odin, where were you when i needed you!?! Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I just burst out laughing at 'grandpa Chewbaca's', um, Matrix experience. I mean, they ACTUALLY put that on television?! Seriously? It's like the whole cast and crew were high to come up with that. Masturbating to porn is not what I call Holiday special entertainment. I havn't laughed that hard in a long time. I wonder what the broadcasters were thinking? 2 Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Costume designer Micheal Kaplan(from Abrams Star trek movies) joins episode 7. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=105593 "I have not spoken to J.J. He’s been busy with Star Trek, and I’m sure that he’ll let me know when he’s got some questions. So, you know, that’s all going well. Kathy tells me it’s working out great." So...I'm thinking one of two things. 1. Before, George revealed things about Ford, Fisher and Hamill returning, and then Disney spanked him. So he is keeping quiet now or... 2. Disney knows he's a blabbermouth so they actually won't tell him anything unless they really need to. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Its confirmed. John Williams is on board. officially. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Kathleen Kennedy stated that she wants to have real locations and CGI mixed together when filming episode 7. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=107118 Quote
Mirabilis Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Not to spread rumors, however I've read several articles claiming Justin Bieber has been cast as one of Luke Skywalkers kids, or nephews. I've even come across a petition to uncast him from the film, however I haven't been able to find him speaking on it himself or anything of the manner. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Oh wow... I hope that turns out to be a false rumor. It would be terrible if episode 7 turned into a musical!! Quote
LordSpleach Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well that reminds me of the rumors of Hollywood remaking Back to the Future with 'him' as Marty McFly. Quote
durendal Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 JB in Star Wars? God forbid. Unless they intend him to be the next Jarjar Binks. Well, they do have the same initials. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I'm good if they throw him in the r2 can suit. Quote
