Finished watching Kamen Rider Black, I can see why it is considered one of the best series....that is if I got to watch the series when i was younger, since i have just recently watched the series In my opinion it has not aged well and i don't mean by the special effects, they are great considering the year it was made, what i mean is that the story could have been much, much more better, it had a lot of potential since it had the protagonist follow a similar path as Tekkaman Blade did, it had a lot of awesome episodes but there where some other episodes that felt like filler and hurt to watch, the fight scenes where good, the monster designs where awesome, the story was hit and miss, i think it was trying a bit too hard and the ending left me with mixed feelings.

I did notice what one of you guys mentioned a while back that the showa riders used a lot more their bikes to fight than the Hesei Riders and it shows with Black, I only have one problem:

Giving Black 2 bikes, Battle Hopper and Road Sector, Road Sector was made so superior to Battle Hopper that it was basically useless once Sector appeared and i did not like that, sure Hopper is better when it comes to driving on difficult terrain as it is lighter than sector and it was basically another character all together with personality but that did not help the fact that black used sector much more than hopper cause it was so powerful which is sad. Frankly i really think that Sector was an unnecessary addition heck I did not know that sector was also was a sentient bike like hopper until the end which confused the hell out of me and felt something they just made up at the last minute it would have been better if Hopper acquired all of sectors abilities as the series went on or something like that, in short i prefer Battle Hopper more.

In short, Kamen Rider Black is good but I would not recommend to someone who is just starting out, I give it a B. Up next on my list is Kamen Rider V3 and Garo Makai Senki.

Yay! Another one who likes Black. It's my first Rider so I totally enjoyed it. The thing about the Showa riders, they were really good because they were the innovators of the genre. It would not appeal to newer viewers probably because the younger generations got spoiled by the special effects of the later shows.

It's both cool and tragic about the thing with Black Sun and Shadow Moon. If you enjoyed Black, I think you should stay away from Black RX. Although it is the direct sequel to Black, there are some elements there I just can't take.

I noticed right of the bat on the first episode, I will watch it once i get the chance but not right now, right now V3 looks promising, the first episode did not pull any punches at all, Black is supposed to be Dark and serious but Daaaaaaang does V3 do it better.

Well, I've recently watched this movie. Zebraman and it's sequel Zebraman 2: Attack on Zebra City.

Zebraman is good, it's about a teacher who dressed up as his childhood hero and turns out saving the world from aliens.

Zebraman 2 isn't that quite good though.

been watching akibaranger recently.

I'm finding it tough to watch drama that is an hour long, time is short atm so sticking to half hour each night... :(

I've just finished watching Hotaru no Hikari. It's about a dried up woman who is sharing her lodging with her boss. It's pretty funny.

Here's the only decent trailer that I found:

Since it's been a while...

- Eureka Seven AO (Astral Ocean) - A lot more action than the first series... But just as screwy with plot points. Plus a lot less stuff that bugged me about the first series.

- Sword Arts Online - 10,000 people are stuck in a virtual reality MMO. Only way to get out without dying in the real world? Someone has to beat the final boss. Enjoying it quite a bit. Started a bit late on watching it, but it has grabbed my attention.

- Muv Luv Alternitive Total Eclipse - Mixture of fan service, gore, giant robots and love story. Not the greatest series... But the mecha designs are nice ^_^

- Gundam AGE - Finished - Bleh. Really left a sour taste in my mouth. I liked parts of it, and I liked a lot of the mecha designs ( enough to buy the model kits)... But the final plot arc was horrible. And the fact the next Gundam series will be a sequel to AGE... I don't have high hopes for the plot. The Mecha though...

From the New World - Shin Sekai Yori - just started but looks good in a creepy sort of way. There's all sorts of questions that have yet to be answered.

K - another new season one, looks a bit like Durarara but I could be wrong since I've only watched one ep. Except every second character can literally blow stuff up or has other 'powers'. Hopefully it will become clear as to what is happening. I don't necessarily like the animation style that much though.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai - Every have anything embarrassing you want to forget? Well the main character in this one does but he's not allowed to forget it by the people around him. This one is a little bit too fanservicey for me but I'm not sure where it's going so I'll keep watching for a few eps.

currently watching Makai Senki Garo and loving every second of it, I like how they have improved the story as well as the budget of the series thanks to the success of the original series, I also like how they are concentrating the story more on Kouga and Zero instead of Kaoru, she is a good character but there is only so much you can do with her on a series like this and her peak was the end of the original series, the stories on this second series are more fun to watch as well I specially like 2 episodes in particular, one that feels like an actual horror story where 2 parents are killing people so they can see their dead son, that episode was very touching and creepy at the same time. Then there is an episode with Zero where he faces a samurai from ancient times that makes a deal with a Horror so he can continue to live in order to find a strong opponent, I like it cause Zero gets to have a little more character development. If you guys have not watched the second season yet then I really recommend it for anybody that wants their tokusatsu abut more serious and not so much child friendly.

I might consider watching that then.

I'm not really a fan of horror though. so I'm unsure.

I'll keep it in mind.

I'm watching a drama called papadol at the moment.

well, I'm also watching zenkai girl, just got the last episode to watch.. but last episodes are difficult to get through.

anyhow, papadol is about an idol who marries a woman to become a papa.

this causes a problem since idols are not allowed to be in relationships as it spoils their appeal to fans.

papadol is not too thrilling to be honest so I got a new series. I chose it because it feature oguri shun and he is great in everything I've seen him in.

this series is called rich man poor woman. it's very interesting, oguri shun plays a very rich guy who heads a innovative company. the female lead is a poor student who has been rejected from 32 job applications. she comes to his company and even though she doesn't get hired, she gets involved with them in more interesting ways.

the more interesting part is that oguri shuns character cannot remember faces. this brings in a very interesting element.

I've seen 2 eps so far and i'm hooked on it.

I just watched Rurouni Kenshin the movie. Most of you guys would probably think, Hey, Den-O is Kenshin! They changed some of the elements but not a bad movie. Not much fighting styles are showcased. The only ones I remember is a few short seconds of Saito in the Gatotsu stance and Kenshin using Sou Ryu Sen. Also a shame Aoshi was not there but instead was replaced by Gein and Banjin who is supposed to appear much later in the Jinchuu arc.

How can I post videos again? the usual code that I used doesn't seem to work anymore.

the video you posted doesn't appear to exist.

There.  Fixed it.  It was missing a letter. ^_^

Now that's strange, I'm sure as hell that my post wasn't like that when I last saw it.  Did you fix it Ryuki?  Much appreciated.

I love it, the way they paced the story was well done considering they merged 2 arcs together, they where mostly fateful to the source material but giving them their own twist on how thing where done. I think I have only one minor complaint and it was the way the portrayed Han'nya or at least I think it was him since he was wearing a mask , I could be wrong tho, they never mention his name. You also forgot to mention KÅji Kikkawa AKA Kamen Rider Skull the manliest of men is playing Jin-e. The choreography was amazing and music was ok this is probably one of THE best anime adaptations ever, I would not be surprised if they make a sequel focusing on the Oniwabanshu or Maybe Shishio or both and a Third being the conclusion where Kenshin faces his Brother in law, that would be freaking epic.

Oh, but that's not Hanya.  As I mentioned earlier, that was Gein, and the supposed knuckle head who was beating each other senseless with Sanosuke was Banjin.  These two characters are supposed to only appear in the final arc of the manga.  The fight with Saito was disappointing though.  I expected Himura to put up more of a fight.  I also noticed that even with the Sakaba Tou, he still hesitates in using it.

Well, it makes sense if he wants to avoid conflict and resolve things in a peaceful manner only resorting to violence unless there is no other choice . thanks for clearing up about Gein and Banjin, I have not read the final arc (completely) so I'm not familiar with the characters although it is a weird choice to add them in the movie. yeah, the Saito fight was a bit lackluster, maybe they will continue it on the sequel if they make it.

Edit: Kenshin actually uses 2 techniques in his fight with Jin-e, Ryu-Tsui-Sen AND Sou-Ryu-Sen

That rurouni kenshin looks really good!

(durendal, I've been trying to fix everyone's posts, it's an awful mess this software )

Aether, I had watched daimajin kanon in the past. I didn't find it that interesting to be honest. you can always have a look at it though.

personally, at the moment, I am watching 'papa to musume', 'rich man poor woman' and sort of got 'honey and clover' on reserve.

papa to musume is really interesting, it's the classic role swap theme. father goes into his daughters body and vice versa.

still enduring kamen rider blade, at ep 21 at the moment. it is more enjoyable than it was and the girl from Garo has showed up as an undead, so that cant hurt can it!

i skipped through ep 1 of daimajin kanon and it looks a bit weirdly boringly crappy to me. but i dont know... ive got enough supert sentai and KR to be going on with anyway.
