yea but this trailer has never been released before to the public, it is a nice trailer tho, I'm very anxious to see the finished product, also if I had to complain I would say that my only minor nitpick is his roar, it just seems weird.

I agree with the roar, it's too shrill for my taste. It was also used for the Godzilla Encounter in this year's Comic Con.

Well, another teaser just got leaked. drenn, Legendary, pull yourselves together. :/

"You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility" "You admire it" "I admire its purity. A survivor ... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality"

Also, leaked pages of one of the scripts (dunno if it's the current one or not) have popped up. Since it's copyrighted material and stuff, we could get into some legal troubles if they get posted here. So if you run into it, please don't post it here.

A bit unthrilled myself, nothing that Pacific Rim and Cloverfield didn't already do and is the only thing Hollwyood knows how to do anymore is that moronic demented BWWAAAAMMM!!!! in every trailer?

Seems like it's going to hit every cliche at 100 mph.

I rarly feel this excited about movies. The last time had been Prometheus (Im a big Alien fan) and for me atleast the movie didnt disapoint. I loved the godzilla movies asmuch as I do the alien movies so I have high expectashions.

If I get that strange feeling I got when I watched Prometheus then I'll know the movie has succeded . . . . . at least in my eyes.

agreed with the last two posts.

honest feeling when I watched teh trailer is that it hardly looks like an improvement on the old hollywood godzilla movie. I really don't care if they did a better design of godzilla if they just put him in amongst teh current hollywood trash. last time it was that seasons hollywood trash, now it looks like this seasons hollywood trash.

well, it is just a trailer and I guess it's meant to appeal to hte same dullards that go to hte cinema to watch every action gun flick. of course trailers are rarely an indication of the actual movie as they are not usually edited by the guys who make the actual film.
Anyhow, I have not really watched any of the original godzilla movies. not properly. only saw bits and pieces when I was young. if I get to see godzilla beating teh drenn out of tanks and helicopters then i'm ok with that I guess.

Hardly an improvement over GINO? The entire Godzilla fandom would like a word with you on that one...

I did specify 'movie'. The movie hardly looks like an improvement.

take godzilla out of it for a moment and put what we have seen next to the old one (what is GINO?)

I can't complain about what we have seen of Godzilla himself. That guy looks badass. I'm just talking about the movie itself, not the character, the design, and the realisation of it.

can't wait to see the new godzilla coming out.

Well we've seen worse designs. I remember some of the dreadful wide eyed (Drugged up) Godzilla days. My favorite design was always the original movie version, even against some of the fantastic costumes in the late 90's and 00's.

How come in the American version of Godzilla, the one from 97 I think, he was an accident of radiation testing? It showed the military blowing up islands with nuclear warheads and radiation testing. In the old one he was from Monster Island and I guess he was a prehistoric dragon, or was he still an irradiated giant lizard?

The original was because of nuclear testing as well, but Godzilla came from the prehistoric species Godzillasaurus.

Zilla(Toho's official name for American Godzilla) got the homage to Godzilla's origin right except for the change that it was an mutated Iguana.

here is a video from monstrosities that features a look from a toy for Muto, the enemy monster that Godzilla will be facing on the new movie,

what do you guys think of the design shown so far?

has that guy joined up on here? I think Lordspleach said he recognised the logo. I do too. I am sure I saw it as an avatar. was it 'mutronics'?

no... mutronics had guyver 1 from hte movie.

I'm sorry, but I cannot help but feel that Godzilla looks stubby armed and obese. Perhaps the toys are just poor representations of how Godzilla will be shown in the film. Hopefully this is the case.
